I am trying to be optimistic. My son has seen Dr. Tuch in the past although I have not met the Doctor personally. I had overlooked a bill, so I called in to pay, acknowledged it was an oversight on my part, the women who answered was not too pleasant, I am assuming the office was having «computer problems» although she never did say that. She said «do you have your statement with the balance, because I cannot see that right now. BUT I can take your credit card number and process it.» OK??? I explained that the office called me for a payment and that I was trying to clear it up, so she asked me the name on the account, I told her and we moved on. Then I asked to schedule an appointment. .her reply was «I will have to call you back, I can’t do that right now.» ??? OK??? Lol… if she calls back, and if I get treated better, I will probably change my review. but in my opinion, First Impressions… are what typically stays in my head… js
I did get a call back, explaining that the computers were down (frustrating) so I know how that can be. We got scheduled promptly (which is typical for the this office. Now I can go on with my day :)

Dr Tuch is a fine doctor. He helped my son through two breaks and myself through a couple of problems. He was attentive and informative.

A month before summer ended, my 8 year old daughter broke her arm by falling off the back of my husband’s pick up truck. Since we were in between insurances, I went with a dr. who could see her the day I called and who also had an x-​ray machine in the office. Dr. Tuch’s office was perfect. The Dr. was great, his office staff was polite, and it was convenient since he could x-​ray my daughter’s arm right then and then again in a week to make sure it was healing properly. After a month, she got the cast off and was good as new! He took another x-​ray, gave me and my kids a little lesson about how bones regrow, and his nurse tolerated a crowd watching the removal of the cast. Of course, without insurance it wasn’t exactly cheap, but it seemed reasonable enough. I would definitely go back to Dr. Tuch should the need arise.
On another note, when my toddler recently fell and fractured her shin bone, I called Dr. Tuch’s office to see if they could see her. The Dr. wasn’t in that day, so they recommended a different Dr., who is just starting out. I thought that was kind and professional.

UCLA med-​school yes Dr. Tuch. But I felt like he could’ve and should’ve drilled holes into my right wrist and realigned my wrist better with some screws/​pins since it was a CLEAN break. Healed a little crooked to the point where I have to rotate my right wrist to the right when trying to make my palms facing up even with one another and even then it looks a little off. My right wrist still gets sore and it makes a popping noise when i stretch it out a couple times a day. But yeah, drilling holes could’ve done me worse too. My friend’s sister went to him too for her wrist and she already has arthritis in her wrist, but she went to him when she was still a kid, so her bones were still growing. But shit, I don’t really know much about bones, so I’ll leave these speculations of mine up to the Orthopedic Surgeons.
The assistants were pretty nice though, always offering us kids lollipops when they got them handy. Or maybe that’s cause I was visiting them around Halloween time in the fall. I don’t think the front receptionist liked me too much though cause I’d always show up like 5 – 15 minutes late for all my scheduled appointments, which I tend to do with my dentist and orthodontist appointments too. But yeah, they’d make me wait longer to be seen as my punishment. So show up on time to your scheduled appointments people!
I really didn’t like having to pay a $ 10 co-​payment everytime I came here too. Cause sometimes I’d just ask him 1 question and other times I just had to come in to get an X-​Ray to give to my Podiatrist or Physician. The whole HMO deal is garbage too, cause they’d only allow me a certain amount of visits to a specialist, like a Orthopedic Surgeon, Podiatrist, Physical Therapist, etc., and if I wanted more appointments with those specialist, I’d have to set up an appointment with my Physician and get all this paperwork signed and faxed into my HMO insurance company and then sent back and approved and then I’d have to drive back there to get that paperwork or request them to fax it over to the specialist and then set up those appointments too. God damn. So much to do just to ask a question or take another X-​Ray to make sure I’m okay. The whole medical field and insurance thing is all about money if you ask me. If I wasn’t so scared of blood and needles, I’d probably be all about becoming a doctor and suck all the money I could out of those insurance companies. Bastards!
Came here another time when my friend Jeremy stepped on my big right toe when my shoe flew off after we were wrestling in Nate M.‘s front lawn during a drunken 4^th of July celebration. Ended up finding out from a podiatrist, that was my old classmate’s uncle that I developed a bunion, which is a bone and muscle tissue deformity in the toes. Son of a bitch! — This situation was a bitch. I went to the Physician’s office to schedule an appointment to see the orthopedic surgeon for my toe, but I lied and said it was for a re-​checkup for my wrist so I didn’t have to fill out all this extra paperwork, then I go to the orthopedic surgeon and they x-​ray my toe and recommend me to go to a podiatrist, then I have to go back to the Physician’s office to get a referral for a Podiatrist, then I go to the Podiatrist, and then he has me go back to the orthopedic surgeon to get my x-​rays, and then I go back to the podiatrist and he just tells me I have a bunion on my big right toe and I can either get cartilage from 1 side of my foot moved in there to fix it, which should make it good for at least 10 years, but it might be worse, so I said fuck that, and just lived with the pain. He also noted how my left leg is slightly longer than my right leg, so he recommended that I wear an insole only in my right shoe to help straighten out my back. Man! Fuck that HMO shit!
And yeah, that bunion on my big right toe took a couple steps away from me and lowered my vertical jump like 2 – 4 inches.
My body hates me! I need health insurance! Fuck this economy! I need a job with full benefits! =(
