My 1994 Lexus 400SC with cluster failing (speedometer, tachometer, fuel and temp) was in need of help. I tried to baby it along with a thump to the dashboard, and was unwilling to put out more than $ 1500 at the dealership to replace the part, I remembered hearing about a place in Gilroy. I tracked down Sammy Wu and made an appointment to meet him. I drove down from San Rafael about 90 minutes. Arrived at the agreed time with him waiting for me. He asked if i was going to pull the old cluster or did I want him to take on the task. I let him have at it, and in less than 2 minutes it was out and in his lap. Will you fix all four gauges? Of course. How much time will you need? About 45 minutes. Walked into his modest office and there were a dozen clusters from Lexus and Toyotas that he repairs from all over the country. His wife Jasmine offered to take us to the nearby outlets and would call us when Sammy was finished. Cluster is bright, clear and no longer in need of a thump. Gilroy was a long way to go for the repair and worth it. Even with the shopping at the mall and two nights in Santa Cruz it was still a bargain. Just started going here a few months ago and so far, I’ve gotta say that I like them better than my previous mechanic *insert generic auto repair chain here*. Mikado’s operation is pretty small, but for those who like personable straight-​shooting customer service, it’s exactly what you’re looking for. Sammy is really nice and will go into some of the details and reasons behind repairs and up-​keep suggestions. This is my place from now on.

We live in San Jose and drive down to Gilroy to have our Lexus serviced here. The owner and his wife are very nice and do an excellent job. We’ve been there for oil changes, brake pad replacement and even for tires. Plus one time the navigation system touch screen stopped working and they fixed it for way less than a Lexus dealer would have charged. Highly recommended!

We were recently referred to this place from a family friend and ever since then we only trust them! The boyfriend ONLY goes here for his Lexus needs, despite the long trek to Gilroy from San Jose! (and since we get off work right at the peak of traffic hour= loooong commute) The owner is really nice and his wife is sweet and quiet. Last time the owner noticed that my bf’s driver side visor mirror was broken and wouldn’t rest back up, called us a few months later to tell us he found one to replace for him. The fact that he kept us in mind really showed us how much he cared for each one of his customers. Sometimes we’ll leave the car here for a day or two for him to work on and when we get it back, it sounds like new!

Great auto repair shop specializing in Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Owner is very knowledgeable and only uses only oem parts and does a great job at reasonable prices.
When I bring my car there for service, they drop me off at the Gilroy Premium Outlets since they are only a few minutes away from there. When the car is done, they pick you back up.
