Johnson & Simoni has been based in Gilroy since the 1800’s. Walter Fitgerald started the firm. In the 1920’s Sydney Johnson continued the work. In 1979 James V. Simoni continued the tradition. The firm has served the needs of seniors before the term «Elder Law» was invented. The firm takes the values of earlier times such as «Respect Your Elders» and administers them with modern techniques. Good solid advice with a human touch has been the hallmark of the firm.

James Simoni was born in Santa Clara County. Graduated Bellarmine College Preparatory, Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Santa Clara University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in law. His residence has always been in the unincorporated area of Santa Clara County were he has ranched and managed agricultural, commercial, residential real estate, and worked in the title insurance industry before becoming a lawyer.

His time apparently more valuable than ours. We both took time off of work to make our first appointment. We showed up on time and had to wait over 20 minutes while he loudly made phone calls (that seemed were not going to end). It wasn’t until we walked out that he came out chasing after us. Nope. Drove away. Would have been quick and easy money for him as it was just for a will. That’s ok, we have another appointment with a different attorney who had better be on time or I will Unilocal that too. Very cluttered and trashy office environment, which also made us question the attention to detail and customer service.

James Simoni, he is a wonderful lawyer. Since the very beginning of my case, he was knowledgeable, confident, caring, involved and more than anything very assertive in the steps needed to resolve the issue I had. I was surprised that in such a short time he solved my matters, not overcharged, no waste of time, and very protective of my interest. I will definitely recommend him to anyone that is in need of advice, support, protection and help with the best possible outcomes. Should a situation arise where I need similar services again, I would not hesitate calling Mr. Simoni.

Wow. stay away. I called in with general questions to see if he’d be able to help me with a case. At the end of the phone call, he asks me for my name and phone number and told me that he’d be expecting a check in the mail. «Normally consultations are $ 60 but I’ll give it to you for $ 30» What a crook. A lawyer of all people should know you can’t charge people without prior agreement. STAY AWAY from this scam of an attorney. doesn’t deserve his license. and no, I didn’t mail this sleezeball any money.
