Welcome to the new Floors Direct Carpet One. Now owned and operated by Don W. Sturtevant, former owner of Rainbow Carpet One for 38 years.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I grew up in this business. My mom and dad, Ellie and Wayne Sturtevant started one of the first flooring stores in Cupertino in 1960. In 1966 we migrated to Santa Cruz and opened the first stock flooring specialty store in the area.

After graduating from UCSB in 1976 I took over the family business. My brother and I have been partners for 38 years running the successful multi-​store Rainbow Carpet One.

Now in 2015 I have opened the new outlet store, Floors Direct Carpet One. Low overhead, low prices… we bypass the middleman and buy direct from worldwide Carpet One suppliers.
