Established in 2004.

Based in California, BandTel was founded in 2004 as a spin-​off of CD Communications Service — a leader in Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications for shopping centers across the U.S. BandTel was launched in an effort to facilitate the integration of VoIP communication within large organizations. The company’s customer-​centric approach, and commitment to delivering superior Internet telephony services, demonstrates the focus on providing powerful communications tools. Ten years later, BandTel is still thriving and servicing its customers with the best customer and technical support available. Recently, BandTel launched Business-​Connect and Tangent. Services that solve common issues found in other hosted VoIP service providers. Business-​Connect offers a free managed service at no capital expense with free phones bundled in to the service.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

As co-​founder CEO & CTO of BandTel, Peter Sandstrom is responsible for setting the technical direction of the company, and driving the company’s continuous innovation. Before founding BandTel, he was President of Designer Labs, a cutting edge supplier of SS7 software solutions for the VoIP and IVR telecommunications industry. Prior to that, Mr. Sandstrom held the position of Principle Engineer at Summa Four (acquired by Cisco), a leading supplier of intelligent, programmable switches for use in carrier networks. Peter was also VP of Engineering at MultiLink.
