Rebellious Addiction Tattoo & Piercing

Jacob Husul does great work! It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a tattoo — can’t wait to get some more work done. The shop is very clean and everyone is more or less friendly! I’d definitely recommend Jacob to anyone who is looking for a tattoo.

Nestor Murray is the artist who has done 3 of my tattoos. His creativity and vision result in completely beautiful pieces. His work is versatile and organic and he has the ability to create something unique from the most basic ideas. He does amazing line work. Nestor is fiercely loyal and dedicated to his art and commits 100% to each piece. He is professional, conscientious, super nice, and not too bad to look at ;) Nestor!!!

Got my first tattoo here by Matt and was an excellent experience! Shop is very clean, and all the staff is super friendly. Since it’s the holiday season, not a lot of people were booked to get work done, so after my initial consultation, which was friday the 4^th of December (which i called the studio ahead of time and they said they could do a consultation within 40 minutes of me calling), Matt sent me on my way and said he would draw something up for me. Not even 3 hours later he sends me a very detailed sketch via text message of my future tat. I was in LOVE! He scheduled me in for that Monday to get it done at noon.
Initially it was only supposed to be a 3 to 4 hour job that turned into a full 8! He spent so much attention to detail and coloring that I was in the studio his whole shift! It’s a large purple and green octopus piece on my thigh, and I couldn’t be more amazed by his ink-​manship, not to mention he carried great conversation, and made sure I didn’t feel uncomfortable.
I would highly recommend this studio, as the staff and Matt take care of their clientele in a sanitary and friendly environment :)
Thanks Matt for getting me in and spending the time to give me a beautiful piece for life. I’ll be back in the future!

It is Friday September 4^th 7:17 p.m. I stopped in at this location to get a monroe piercing and they were closed even though the sign says 9 p.m. they’re all getting in their cars and closing up shop already so they suck that’s not cool they just lost my business because I went elsewhere

I can’t really review the entire staff here, but the shop is clean and the people are more or less friendly. I enjoy walking in there and never feel like I have walked into some place I shouldn’t have.
What I can say for sure is, Jacob is an amazing artist and great to work with. I’ve gotten four pieces done by Jacob. One was something I had already drawn out that he put on my arm, two were larger pieces that I gave him an idea for and let him work out the artistic details (both were better than I had pictured them and I approved at once) and most recently he put a couple of hours into my full back piece that was started years ago in another state. I’ve been waiting to find someone that I could trust to finish my back, and Jacob is without a doubt the man to do it!
Rebellious Addiction is a great shop in my experience, but I’ll be following Jacob no matter what shop he is working out of.

Went to rebellious based on other reviews. Had Nestor Murray do my first tattoo. The shop was clean, the staff professional. Was very happy with my tattoo. Hope to have more work done. I would refer this place to anyone looking for a great tattoo.

I checked out several places in Gilbert before choosing this one. Matt Garcia is legit! He added onto an existing tattoo that I had done years ago and did an awesome job; so I didn’t hesitate to go back two weeks later for some new ink. He took an idea I wanted and put his own artistic signature on it. I loved it more than the image I had found online. Shop is clean, artists are friendly. Highly recommend! I’m sure I’ll be back :)

Stephanie H is a delightful and talented artist. I came to her to clean up an old tattoo that I had. She did a full redesign and it looks astronomical. She is reasonably priced, professional, and very intrinsic in her artistic style. I’m so happy with the outcome.

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING. I got my belly pierced here and I was in and out in 10 minutes. It was so cheap, only 40 INCLUDING the heel. The person was amazing. He talked me through it. Didn’t put pressure. I am going to refer everyone to go here!

AMAZING place! I went here for my first tattoo several months ago & I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Stephanie Heffron was my artist & she was really cool & friendly. She’s tattooed a bunch of my friends & coworkers in the past & her work is amazing. I brought in a picture of a unicorn I wanted tattooed & after some discussing (she likes to customize her tattoos so each one is unique to the customer I guess, so she suggested certain things we could tweak to make it «my own», so we added color to it as opposed to keeping it just black & grey). She drew it up, stenciled it on, & an hour later I had my gorgeous purple-​and-​pink maned unicorn :) It turned out exactly how I wanted it, & it only took an hour (so $ 100 was what I paid, not too bad of a price for quality tattoos). Her boyfriend works at this place too & also does excellent work, especially if you like dark, demented art. I will definitely be coming here for future tattoos! :)

I have had a lot of my tattoos done at this shop by John Hansen. He is an amazing artist with a great attitude and relaxed demeanor. John also possesses a lot of talent that he has worked very hard to obtain. You will not leave this place disappointed. The other artists here are very talented as well, with a great variety of style. Stop in and talk to the artists and check out their work, you will be impressed.

I adore this place. I have gotten most of my work done here and I generally work with Stephanie (who is a complete doll). I walked in about 3 years ago and she fixed my very messed up tattoo on my back. Because of how nice she was (and really EVERYONE is super nice), I have kept coming back. I am working towards a half sleeve with Stephanie now and would recommend her to anyone who asked.
The shop is always clean (and the chairs wiped down while you watch) and the tools are always sterilized in front of you.
Normally, Stephanie is scheduled for about six weeks in advance, so be warned. However, when my roommate and I went in last week completely spur of the moment, Stephanie and Jacob fit us in between appointments… how cool is that?
Shop minimum is $ 60, and the artists that I’ve worked with (Stephanie and Jacob) have been really good about charging me fairly.
If you’re looking to get work done, check this place out.

Hands down, the worst tattoo shop in Arizona! As you can tell 4 reviews in the past 3 years. Its definitely about quantity ($) not quality here at this hole!

I give it a 3 star because it’s a hit or miss with them. Some of my visits were good, some weren’t. Most of my artwork I will need to get fixed because my tattoo was rushed and the ink used didn’t work well with my skin type. Other than that, it was a positive experience and the staff is always friendly.

I waited almost 32 years to get a tattoo. Always been kinda intimidated, since I literally know nothing about the process. Ended up talking to Billy Hermann about it and felt comfortable. Actually came in for my wife but ended up scheduling for his next open spot. Great experience without any attitude about not knowing anything. All I brought was a rough idea and a pic and Billy did the rest. Super happy and I will be back.

Worked with Billy Hermann here. I cannot type much as my forearm is freshly tattooed, but these guys kick ass. I will update later.

I went in to Rebellious Addiction for the second time this past tuesday (⁴⁄₃₀) to finish my first tattoo with Stephanie.
First impression, shop was CLEAN and very open. A very welcoming place to come get a tattoo. Couches, chairs, tvs, display cases, artists books, etc. I didn’t talk to the staff much at the time because I knew where I wanted to go to do a consultation but they seemed nice enough.
At the initial consultation, I gave her a few ideas for things I liked. The plan was originally to get a much smaller tattoo but when I arrived the day of the first appointment she told me she had drawn something for me. If I didnt like it, we could definitely go in a different direction. When she showed me the design that she drew I absolutely LOVED it. It ended up taking up most of my upper arm which was not a problem for how awesome it looked.
We put the outline on ⁴⁄₂. I went in with a friend who had previously been tattooed by Stephanie and when we walked in Stephanie said after she did my outline she would touch-​up one of my friends tattoos. Stephanie does free touch-​ups for life and takes a lot of pride in her work.
When it came time to put gun to skin, she definitely took her time making sure I was ok with my first tattoo. The design I wanted was a new school style cartoon zombie scene. The only thing I changed was there was a general cityscape silhouette in the background. As I’ve moved here from Las Vegas and worked on the strip for my time there, I asked if we could change the cityscape to a Vegas Strip silhouette. She fixed it up in no time flat and it looked great. The lines on the outline were really, really clean. She gave me very good, clear aftercare instructions which came in handy. It healed very nicely. After we were done I asked her to set us up for an appointment sometime about 4 weeks out. We settled on a date and she explained to me it would take her approximately 6 to 8 hours to finish the tattoo and I could either split it up or do it in one shot if I could handle it. It wasnt so bad with the outline, so I set up and all-​day appointment to save me a few dollars if I could sit in the chair for that length of time. Stephanie made it clear to me that if I set the all-​day appointment I didn’t have to worry about being locked in to it. If it came to be that I could only take it for say 2 or 3 hours she would just charge me at that rate instead of the full day. VERY reassuring for someone like me so I didnt have to feel like I had to sit there all day if I wasnt feeling it (or was I suppose).
Came back on ⁴⁄₃₀ to get the thing finished up. After Stephanie got set up, we started in at about 12:30ish. I was in the chair for maybe an hour when the owner came in to do his thing. VERY nice guy (I’m bad with names, sorry!). He introduced himself, talked me to a little bit about everything. Talked about movies and such. Then he offered me Jamba Juice because he was going which was an awesome touch. Halfway through the tattoo we took a lunch break. Stephanie wrapped me up so I could go outside and talk on my phone a bit. She also offered me sushi because thats what they were getting for lunch. How nice can these people be? All day a few of the other artists came in and talked to us some, saw how we were doing, and made us laugh. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the service and the people here at Rebellious Addiction. As someone who has worked in customer service/​hospitality for almost half of my life, it really is top notch.
I ended up in the chair for probably 7.5−8 hours. She even stayed after the other artists had left to make sure it was up to her standard. She added some things along the way as well and adjusted it to my muscle/​body shape. Beautiful use of color, wonderful design, and a great ARTIST. You can really tell that she is an artist at heart and not just someone that traces and colors inside the lines.
I definitely will be back for more now that I’ve had such a good experience here. I get compliments everywhere I go for this beautiful piece she put on me and I cant be happier with it.

Got my first Tattoo here a few weeks ago by Billy and let me tell you it is was the best decision I ever made. I was really scared going in but I was told I could take as many breaks as I wanted and I felt very comfortable there. The place was INCREDIBLY clean and everything and I mean EVERYTHING was sterilized before we began which made me even more at ease! Billy did amazing work on my arm and I will be coming here for all of my other Tattoos in the future! Shout-​out to Billy Hermann his work is AMAZING not to mention he has a great personality and makes you feel at home. Thanks for the amazing first tattoo experience

My husband wanted an eyebrow piercing for his birthday, and I wanted it to be a surprise. So I googled and Unilocaled my way around the different parlors in the East Valley area. Rebellious Addiction caught my eye because the very first review on their Unilocal!page talked about how impressed the guest was that the place was so sterile and clean. Excellent! My husband is a bit sensitive about cleanliness, so I knew that that must be a sign!
I called in a week ahead to find out pricing, because I was going back and forth between this and another place. (But the other place had bad reviews because it seems that out of towners think their pricing is too expensive). A pleasant guy answered the phone and quoted me $ 35 – 40. I then asked about the day we were coming in and no appointment needed! He said we probably wouldn’t have any issue coming right in and being taken care of.
Sure enough, we walked in at about 4:45 on a Friday evening, then walked back out right before 5:00. The guy at the front desk and Rob (the piercer) were both super friendly when we entered and had us cracking up with laughter the whole time. Rob was professional though when he needed to be, especially in verbally walking my husband through the process.
Rob was precise AND speedy! I do not like needles at all, so I turned around to not watch. I barely had time to turn all the way before Rob was telling my husband that he was already through and now putting the bar in. Soon enough we were out the door and only paying $ 30, less than my quote!
I almost did 4 stars though, just because we didn’t get talked to about any after care or cleaning. But my husband had mentioned his other piercings and tattoos, so they probably assumed he had it handled.
GO HERE. Rob is fantastic.
