We are a growing hospital and we are glad to take new clients. We look forward to meeting new people and caring for their pets. We schedule appointments Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. — 7 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. — 6 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. — 2 p.m. We schedule surgical procedures Monday-​Friday. Your pet would come in between 7:30 –8:30 in the morning and most are ready to go after 5 p.m.

Gilbert Veterinary Hospital is proud of our longevity in the community caring for animals. We have been located just south of the corner of Ray and Gilbert Roads for over 30 years. We are an AAHA accredited hospital, which means we have passed the stringent standards required by the American Animal Hospital Association.

We have 6 doctors and 25 staff members who provide professional, compassionate care for your special dog and cat companions.

History

Established in 1978.

Dr. Beverly Scott joined the hospital in 1978, which was owned by Dr. John Woods, and bought the practice in 1979. Gilbert Vet was the first and remains one of the few privately owned small animal hospitals in Gilbert.

Business Owner

Dr. Beverly Scott is the owner and director of Gilbert Veterinary Hospital. She has been in practice for more than 25 years. She is a graduate of and a proud supporter of the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Scott comes from a family of veterinarians. Her late father, Dr. A.D. Allen, her brother Dr. Kent Allen and her sister-​in-​law Dr. Rae Stone are all veterinarians.

Dr. Scott has been actively involved in organized veterinary medicine and has been President of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Association, Central AzVMA, and Arizona’s Delegate to the National AVMA. Dr. Scott was also honored by her peers by being named Veterinarian of the Year in 2004.

Dr. Scott and her husband have 2 children, and are all kept company by their Corgie «Evie», cat, «Belle», and their chickens «Pepper» and «Red».
