Gateway Auto Body

Gateway Auto Body recently worked on my Mazda. I was in an accident and needed a new front bumper and a few other pricey parts. I got an original quote from another place that seemed a little high. Corey was able to save me at least $ 300. Also he charged me the exact amount he quoted me, no surprises. There was no intimidation factor at gateway, and as a young female I really appreciate that!

Corey has fixed 3 cars for our family over the years. Each time, the quote was fair, the quality was excellent and the turnaround was fast. I’m still driving one of the cars 8 years later and you can’t see where the repair was done.

Drove my car off the road in a dust storm. Didn’t realize it, but tore the bumper away from the undercarriage, and drove on it that way until it got into the tire wheel well and started dragging. Took it to two other body shops that were «convenient.» They had the pretty leather seat and big screen TV lounges; just didn’t have time to diagnose or give a reasonable price.
Took to Gateway, and Corey immediately got under the car, saw the problem, and gave it a temporary fix. Then he asked if I wanted him to check on the part. He did, gave me a quote (significantly less than the other place), and asked me if I was interested (no high pressure here). He ordered the part, I went the next day, and he installed it very quickly. I’m not sure, but I may have only paid for the part on that occasion. In any case, I’ve been driving on it for several months now & no problems to speak of. I even asked him about some minor issues on the car, and instead of giving me a ridiculous quote, he gave me options for less expensive fixes.
I tend to believe anyone who is willing to turn away business in order to get the customer what (s)he needs — instead of being an opportunist — is likely to be a more honest businessman.

I’m deeply disappointed with Gateway’s repair estimate of the car I brought to him to tell me everything wrong with it in order to decide whether to buy it. Cory looked it all over and provided a printed estimate. I wasn’t very impressed with his customer service attitude and ended up taking the car to four other highly rated body shops in Gilbert. Every other shop quickly noticed significant key indications of issues that he completely missed. Two shops even stated that anyone who did body work should have immediately seen these things and what they indicated was wrong on the car. Cory, from Gateway, however, did not. There are better places to go than Gateway.

I would recommend this body shop to any Gilbert/​Chandler residents.

–His work is top quality and the the turn around rate is fast.

I had a big scratch on my new car and had an estimate from 2 other repair companies, yes they had the nice shops… I checked out the reviews on Gateway Auto Body and saw all the satisfied customers so gave Cory a try, they had the work done in the time they said and the repair was $ 200 less then other estimates. My car again looks great and would recommend to anyone needing a fair and quality service.

I don’t have much experience with auto body shops, but hope each one is as easy to work with as gateway. They took care of my scratched bumper and matched the paint perfectly and for a great price that couldn’t be matched. Heads up parking spots are very limited, you may have to park in a empty lot next door.

Cory the owner is great. I took my daughter’s car there to get her drivers door fixed after someone had backed into it. Cory told me the different options I had for the repair and I went with his recommendation. I didn’t feel like he was trying to gouge me to get more money from the insurance company. The estimate was fair and the work was done on time and looks great.

I went in with a problem with my window. I thought it was a motor or something. They looked at the window, determined that it was due to a bad window that was replaced a while ago (dang glass company). but in the process I showed them a broken seat lever. I expected the same response I got at two other places I tried, We «don’t carry that», or «Contact a dealer». However, Cory said it was dealer issue and asked if I wanted a price quote. I said sure. He pulled out his phone and called the dealer’s parts dept. right there. He seemed to have a good relationship with his supplier and was able to get me the price. It took 3 minutes to get something I have been looking for for over a year. Even better, he did not charge me a «diagnostics fee» for looking at the window. Another shop wanted $ 49.95 to just look at the vehicle to diagnose the problem. I figured I knew the problem, the window does not go up and down correctly!
Again Cory Surprised me, he said I could come back later today, yes I said same day service, and he would have that lever and could fix it for me.
This shop was Excellent! If you want an honest car repair shop that won’t try to up sell you to fix the «headlight fluid», This is your shop.

Came in to get my car hood latch repaired after going to 2 other auto body companies. Very great experience from quote to repair. Would recommend to anyone!

I found Gateway Auto Body about a year ago. I was recommended by a friend and each experience has been better than the last. I’ve had to get a few things repaired over the last year and every time the service is always excellent, fast and efficient and the prices are very competitive. I cannot recommend Gateway Auto Body enough.

Was recommended by a long time Gilbert resident. Cory has treated my family and our cars right. His shop is the kind of local business that doesn’t advertise but relies on word-​of-​mouth referrals. It’s not just the quality of work that satisfied me, but the treatment and price. When I pointed out an issue with some work I found 2 weeks later, Cory had it fixed the same day I brought the car back. When my teenager had an accident, I sent her to see Cory. When my elderly father needed some body work from a parking lot hit-​and-​run we took his car there and Cory buffed the whole car for no additional charge.

Cory is great. This shop gives quick, professional, and quality service at a reasonable price.
