After many trips to San Diego and passing Dateland many times, I decided I needed to stop. How was the date shake? Well, it tasted like pure ice cream and not much like dates… is that bad? No, not really, but nothing special either. We also had date banana bread, which was a bit dry and seemed old. Would I stop again? Eh, maybe, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to do so.

Go on a Thursday, share some date shakes with a stranger in need and tell your favorite fairytale about a wood cutter named Moshkil Gosha. Seriously delicious date drink packed full of date energy to help get you through your drive to Cali!

Not amazing but a good stop to pee and grab a drink. It is so very windy here! Watch out for sand in your eyes!

Great date shake. They have nice amenities, some dates for sale, and friendly people. They also have lots of parking under the trees to grab a nap, a nice kennel for your dog, and is a great place to stop in the desert.

The place has adequate space and exceptionally clean bathrooms. However, the gas prices are outrageous. But this is expected on the 8.

This place has really good«World Famous» shakes. Try the date one –especially unique. Only problem is they are way overpriced. Good price for gas considering its in the middle of the desert.
