We recently moved to Gig Harbor, and received in the mail two separate 10% coupons welcoming us to the neighborhood. Sadly, we were not able to get either one honored. The most disappointing was for a $ 1200 order which I placed AFTER confirming with their online chat help that they indeed would accept it and give us the credit when we picked up the items in the store. We went to the store, presented a copy of the chat and the coupon, and three weeks later have still not seen our credit. The last time my husband asked about it, the clerk said «If you still don’t have it, don’t ask me about it any more. I put in the request and that’s all I can do.» So apparently Home Depot not only does not honor their discount coupons, they also don’t honor their customers.

Had an experience similar to Aubrey F. Ordered some shutters on the 2nd where there is a large display sign which states delivery in just 7 days. When I hadn’t heard anything in over 2 weeks I went in and was told they hadn’t been shipped yet as the order wasn’t placed until the 16th! Was told that the vendor doesn’t accept faxed orders which is how they sent it so it was never processed. I asked why no one called to inform me of the delay and received no reply just a shoulder shrug. They reordered it correctly and I still didn’t get a call for another 10 days. Needed the shutters to match the trim paint. Won’t be buying it here.

We had Home Depot do our windows. Buying windows anywhere is never inexpensive, but at least Home Depot made it painless as possible. They sent a specialist to our home to give us demos, take measurements, and set expectations.
We expected it would take months for the windows to arrive, but they came in two weeks. Installer team worked like locusts, swarming our house and installing the windows in less than a day. All cuts were made with vacuum leaving no dust, and each window was hand-​sealed after install.
Entire process was about as painless as can be, I felt the pricing was fair and competitive to other bids we received. Would use again and of course this isn’t to speak of the nice employees we encounter every time we visit the store — some of whom we’ve become friends with since we seem to make trips so often.
The only downside about Home Depot trips is the damage it does to my wallet!

Just the worst customer service ever!!! Went in to shop for a complete kitchen set… a $ 2000-​$ 4000 purchase… I ask about a kitchen suite for around $ 2000 and they treated me like I was crazy, the guy working in appliances pushed me off to a lady who later said she had to go back to her department and left me when I was not done… unbelievable… went home and pulled up kitchen suites from home depot for $ 2500. really pissed me off… Lowes here I come

I special ordered a rug from this store. Was told it would be delivered to my house on 7⁄10. When it didn’t show I went in and was told delivery date was changed to 7⁄15. When it did not show I went in again and was told it would arrive 7÷19−24. I got a call on 20th that it was in store ready for pick up. I had scheduled it for delivery and they had no record of this and there would be a fee. I was specifically told when I purchased it that there would be no delivery fee. The lady said she would talk to the person who sold it to me and call me back. She never did. The worst customer service. Will not be making any more big purchases at this store again.

I own some property in the harbor. As my employment has pulled me away from the area, I can still count on the helpful folks at this Home Depot to keep my property supplied with quality products. Generally I dread going to the HD big box, bit I can honestly say this one is worth returning to.

This is my local Home Depot Store. Don’t forget about the military discount at Home Depot. You just need to be any form of ID card holder and you get 10% off. Anyway, this is a good store, it never gets overly crowded and there is always friendly staff at the ready to help you find stuff.

I shop here because it is convenient, but I don’t love it. About 50% of the time I can’t find what I need, and I end up shopping elsewhere. The staff are helpful and courteous, but it can be a pretty big hassle to get someone to help you. The store is bright and clean and it must be well-​stocked for someone, but it just isn’t for me.

I just finished building a new family home.
The bad news about Home Depot is they are almost the only «game» in town. The good news is they have a manager that is a great guy in Rob MacKenzie that is very service oriented and staff in commercial/​pro desk, lumber, plumbing, mill work, appliances, tools and hardware that are totally willing to help. I didn’t find the people in electrical, paint or floor coverings nearly as helpful. The cashiers are also nice/​friendly/​warm and helpful. It is a pleasant and fun place to shop.
