Took my mom here Thursday before Mother’s Day. We both got a pedicure(meh) and both got gel manicures. I got just a plain color and my mom got white tips. They charge $ 5 to paint less of your nail which I think is absurd. I asked the lady doing my nails to do an extra coat of color because you could still see through the polish and although she said yes she still only did 2 coats. She then proceeded to file my nails after they were painted, and with gel you’re supposed to paint the ends of the nail to seal it in. It’s now Monday(not even 4 full days later) and my gel is already chipped and peeling. Whenever I get gel done it does usually last a little less than the normal 3 weeks because of my job, but this was over a weekend– a very lazy one at that! I will not return.

I was a little reluctant to go here based on several of the reviews. My hesitation was completely unwarranted. The person that worked with me spent an hour and 15 minutes with me for a pedicure and foot massage and did an outstanding job. I paid $ 45 plus tip for an excellent service. It was thorough and unrushed. The massage chair I sat in was also pretty good. Kind of an added bonus ;o) Ask for Kimmy. She was outstanding. I highly recommend this place and Kimmy in particular.

If I could, I would provide this place with 2 separate ratings. Their waxing is a 5 star for me, however nails get a 3 star. My skin is sensitive and many places have made me break out/get ingrown hairs with waxing. I usually never have a problem with this here. The shaping has been to my liking. Nails are just ‘meh’ to me. Their manicures are very basic. For *less* money, I can go elsewhere in town and get an actual massage to the hands/arm(here they just kinda rub some lotion into your hands) and paraffin dip. In a pinch to get some color I’ll go there, because it’s the closest salon to where I live, but I definitely prefer going somewhere else. Never had any issues with the staff. Some are pretty quiet, which you get anywhere, but they’re all friendly.

Finding a great nail place can be hard sometimes. I was so glad to find Harbor Nails. It is conveniently located near all the shopping on Borgen Blvd. They have about 6 great massaging pedicure chairs, wax room, &8 nail stations. I have done several walk-in appointments & I’ve also made appointments. They do get busy so I would recommend an appt if you don’t have a few spare minutes to wait. I get pedicures here as well as acrylic nails. They have always done a great job. My daughter wanted to bring all her girlfriends for a spa day & they were more than accommodating. Give them a try.

The prices are 30 $ for gel and 35 $ for frech so a bit high But the people are nice and its a small business. Nails always look great after and last for two weeks. If the prices were a bit lower I think I’d like it more. The lady with the casper tattoo is awesome and always does great. Has a nice gentle touch too. Usually no special sales or events but its one of the only places in gig harbor so… kind of stuck with this: p

They all do a great job. It is very clean and they are very nice. I got my eyebrows waxed and a nail fill and were happy with both. They listen to requests with nails and I am very happy each time.

Worst manicure I’ve ever had the whole event even painting took 15 minutes. The lady didn’t even ask me if I wanted my nails clipped or not just went at it. The water was cold the«massage» was done before I even soaked my hands and it was literally just her putting lotion on my hands and arms and rubbing it in just like you do when you put lotion on yourself at home no massage at all! I will never go back to this place and I would advise everyone else to stay far far away!

I’ve been going to Harbor Nails for close to three years now. I mainly get pedicures. I had some I tried several places around town and ended up disappointed. I ended up at Harbor Nails and have been a regular customer since. Their prices are reasonable. The service is reliable. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Yes, they often speak in Vietnamese to each other, but I think that is pretty commonplace for nail salons. The owners are also generous and support local programs.

I like Harbor Nails. I get my brows waxed(great job!) and have had manicures. Recently I got fake nails, and it was the best job I’d had in years. I can’t understand the negative reviews. Most of the staff DO speak English, and why are you so tough on refugees and immigrants? Do you think any of the workers like having to do this sort of work? I’m sure they’d take better paying work if they could. Meanwhile, I think it’s a great service they provide. Maybe the negative writers here need to communicate their wants/desires/needs better to the staff. Or maybe they should go somewhere else, so they don’t take up space here.

I have tried this place at least 5 times because my mother-in-law goes here. Every time, I am disappointed. Pedicures are horrible. They spend no time on quality. No more than rubbing salts on and rinsing off. They don’t make an effort to make it a treat. Staff is not friendly either. I’d rather go across the street to 9 essentials or anywhere else!

Cindy did an awesome job on my eyebrows this morning! I live out of state & we’re here visiting. I looked in the mirror this morning & scared myself when I realized my eyebrows were like a woolly mammoths. Yikes! The price was normal… I paid $ 10 for the wax. She took her time & made sure to shape them perfectly!

I’ve tried this place a couple of times for different services: manicure, pedicure, and brow wax. The ambiance is like a typical nail salon of this sort: non-English speaking staff, half of them wearing masks to protect their lungs for whatever fumes and particles that are going into mine. The pedicure was probably the best service I had of my experiences there, followed by the manicure(of which I had hangnails the next day from) and then the horrible brow wax. The brow wax was the worst I’ve ever had. They lay you down in this closet-like area on a table with a blanket on it that was in desperate need of washing. She didn’t say anything to me, just slathered on wax that was too hot and took skin off, along with my brows. I had painful blisters the next day. I’ve never been back since.

All the ladies that work at Harbor Nail and Spa are awesome. They’re very sweet and talented, and they do a great job with mani/pedis. In the past few years I’m sad to say their massages have gone downhill a little bit and that is my favorite part of any nail business. Unfortunately their prices aren’t great either but you’re not going to find better prices in this area. And that’s one thing they do have, great value for the price.
