Gig Harbor RV Resort

We stayed in our motorhome for 3 days in April. The spots are gravel, plenty wide and they have pull throughs. Each day there were people working to clean up around the sites. Price was reasonable, nice trees and shade for most spots, facilities seemed clean. Nothing fancy but safe, clean and you have some elbow room between other sites. The RVs I saw were clean and in good shape. There were several 40 foot mh’s as well. Close to stores, restaurants and only 30 mins to the Bremerton Ferry if you want into Seattle. I will stay again. I would give it a 3.5÷5. The internet was a little slow and cable was decent. We had good AT&T service.

ABSOLUTELY THE RUDEST OWNERS OF ANY BUSINESS ANYWHERE!!! Total disregard for the people who pay to stay here. Jennifer at the front desk is nice and accommodating. How she works with those a$$holes is only a testament to how good she is. If I could give ZERO stars I would. They know I work nights in an ICU. There are tons of other sites that need work. Im leaving in a few days. But yet they show up at 9am with heavy machinery and start digging 10 feet from where I should be sleeping. When I asked them if they could please work on another site she literally turned her face from me and didn’t respond. The poor guy digging is just doing his job with these two jerks looking over his shoulder. They’ve also turn off power repeatedly with no notice during our stay.

We’ve stayed here once or twice a year for the past three years. Now that we’ve been to many other RV parks I’d say this place is just ok. This particular visit started out poorly because we arrived at night after hours in a Friday after braving terrible traffic only to find a car parked in our assigned pull-​through spot. The office was closed and the owner of the car with Texas plates was nowhere to be found. I had half pulled into the spot before I saw the car parked there. Fortunately I found an emergency contact on the premises who could assign us the only other open space that could accommodate our RV. Although it’s not directly the resort’s fault someone decided to park their car in an empty space, most RV parks will have signage discouraging people from making this mistake that could have prevented it here. It would have at least been nice to receive some compensation for the inconvenience and having to take a back in spot when we expected a pull through spot.
Other than this experience, which hopefully won’t happen to anyone else, the park is ok. It is a good general park with a nice atmosphere. There is cable TV but you might get a better picture using your RV’s built in antenna. There is WiFi but it is awful and it’s much faster to use the LTE signal on my Verizon iPhone. The other services provided by the park are great. They also have propane on premises.
We will return for our exit trip but it sure would be nice if the cable and wifi services were better for the price you pay to stay here.

Way over priced! The bathrooms are dated and the showers are small. I expected more for the price I paid. I was going to rent monthly but I’ll be leaving early because of the price.

We stayed 4 nights the week before the start of the PGA tournament in Chambers Bay. I fully expected their prices to be a little higher and they did not disappoint. They also charged us a pet fee because we have more than one pet. We paid nearly $ 50 per night which included an additional $ 2 per night per pet over the one pet they allow for free. This included a Good Sam discount. You might want to check that they don’t charge you for having additional children if you have more than one with you. There aren’t a lot of 50 amp, full-​hookup options in the area so they know you’re kind of stuck paying their fees. The back in site they gave us was in the lower section and fit our 40′ motorhome and tow car just fine. The sites are terraced so you’re looking down on your neighbor on the road side but you aren’t right next door to another rig. Our site required minimal leveling and was wide enough to put out lawn chairs. A warped picnic table was on our site. The park doesn’t allow ground campfires. It appears the upper section is for long term residents.
It’s located off a busy road and not close enough to Gig Harbor to walk without all the traffic buzzing by you. Most of the sites are shady and under trees. Internal roads are paved and sites are gravel. At check in, we were told that a pressure regulator was required but the water pressure was so weak that we removed it. The hookups are in the middle of the site. Wifi was also good enough to check email and surf the web but we used our own wifi to watch Netflix. Cable was also great. The dumpsters were overflowing just about every day during our short stay so they either need to get more dumpsters or get them emptied more often.
The pool was closed for «cleaning» (that’s what the sign always said) the 4 days were were there. They don’t have an off leash dog park but there are plenty of areas to walk your dogs, plus they have pooper scoopers and bags placed in areas around the park for you to use. There’s a large laundry room and showers near the entrance to the park so if you’re in the far end, you probably have to drive.
It’s an ok park and we had a positive experience with the staff but I disliked having to pay extra for my dogs. This is the first park I’ve ever had to do that (and we’ve stayed in over 40 parks in 2015 alone) and it is an annoying business practice to me. Wouldn’t stay here again for that reason alone.

This is a resort of high quality, and I especially enjoyed the great customer service by the representative, Jennifer. She is kind and very understanding, and she made the process of using your services very easy.

My husband was called to DuPont for work and wanted a safe place for me since he worked 6 days a week. The park was always clean and the staff was very pleasant. The free WIFI and cable were great. You have easy access to town (just an easy walk down the hill gets you on the water in the harbor, about a mile from our front door). Just up the street you can get on the Cushman Trail, a great walk/​bike trail. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay there again.

This was the first rv park we ever stayed at. Stayed here for a week after getting our new rig for our initial shake down cruise.
We don’t have much to compare it to as it was our first stay. I’m guessing it will be about average. I can definitely envision nicer parka but I can also easily envision at lot worst.
The large pull through space was easy to get in and out of. The park had great wifi and we had good Verizon and ATT LTE signals there.
The park was clean though we didn’t use the park wash rooms or laundry facilities so I can’t comment on that.
They are doing a lot of clean up at the park currently, such as leveling spaces, enlarging some spaces, re-​grading entries to some spaces etc. While this is all nice I really wish they would recognize some people may like to sleep in on their vacations. They would regularly start up their excavator and start doing that work at 7 or 8 am. I rally wish they could have held off on that until 9 or 10.

We stayed here for about a month. The park itself is decent. We had a hard time finding someone that spoke English enough to understand us. The encounters between the staff and the customers that I witnessed were at best uncomfortable.
My wife and I ended up staying at a RV park outside Seattle and are quite happy.

I felt that my stay in gig harbor rv resort was less than satisfactory. Spaces are difficult to get into due to the grade and especially while it’s raining. The WiFi didn’t work for me and the cable was very sketchy. I loved gig harbor but unfortunately I don’t feel I would not recommend this rv park to anyone else.

We stayed here the week of July 4^th. We stayed on the lower level which is on a hill, and the spaces are cut into the hillside. They are very wide and since they are tiered no one is right next to you looking in your windows. The spaces are dirt, but the park in in the woods so that’s what you should expect. They were not totally level, but I put the front wheels up on two blocks and we were fine, (It took less than 5 minutes.) I can see that very large rigs could have a problem here, especially if they had to back in. Our rig is only 31′ so I can back in to anything. In other reviews on other sites people have complained that the woman in the office is difficult to understand, which is true, but oh well, not everyone speaks perfect English. I’ve also read complaints about the pool, but I walked by it several times, and it looked fine and there were always several people swimming in it. It was really noisy on the 4^th of July (not in the park, but from surrounding areas), but the rest of the week it was really quiet. The place is very neat and clean. They do not provide doggie bags which I think they need to do, but other than that we have no complaints. We will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
