Furniture brands such as Henredon, Baker, Sherrill, White Furniture, Thomasville, LazyBoy and many others can be found in our 6300 sq ft store front as well as antiques dating as far back as 1830.

Sherry’s On Main was started out of love for consignment shopping and an awareness of the value in re-​purposing furniture and home décor with character. Our goal at Sherry’s On Main is to provide the most pleasant shopping experience possible to all our clients. This includes great pricing structures, 30 day layaway, and pickup and delivery service for a nominal fee.

History

Established in 2007.

We are Bennie & Sherry Leach, the owners of Sherry’s On Main, Inc.

In 2004 we purchased a vacation home which needed furnishing. We immediately started looking at new furniture and could not find anything to suit our style without «breaking the bank». A dear friend suggested checking out furniture consignment stores and we were «hooked». It was great finding all the treasures that went into making our house a home and as an added bonus the savings were substantial.

Out of the passion for consignment furniture shopping — and two garages and a trailer full of furniture — Sherry’s On Main was born. Grand Opening was May 16, 2007 at 106 West Main St., Gibsonville in the location that had been a furniture store for 90+ years.

Almost 4 years later it is still exciting to open the back door to see what treasures consignors are bringing in for us to sell for them and to be a part of the excitement when our clients find that perfect treasure for their home.

Between the two of us we have 60 plus years in the corporate worlds of banking and retail management My favorite pasttime during some of those years was shopping. Now we do it all the time in considering furniture to be included in our inventory.
