Geyserville Inn

Great location near Napa for wine tasting, but for the price the hotel was just average. Very small room/​bed with very loud air conditioner.

Took advantage of a Travelzoo special coupon. The deal was for a great rate on the hotel. Along with a very nice room, we got a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from a local winery, two coupons for tasting at local wineries which included 10% discounts and a 2 for 1 coupon for each day’s stay at the Geyserville Grille. This was one of the best combinations of benefits at a hotel we have ever experienced.
The room was large with plenty of amenities like microwave and fridge. Bathroom was huge and had good towels. Lots of hot water. Beds were medium soft. Good lighting in the room. Lots of windows as well for ventilation.
Room included a small patio balcony overlooking the hillsides of Alexander valley.
Lots of covered parking for the cars. Location was near the freeway but very quiet.

Not a experience here. It felt cozy here and was near wineries. The Travelzoo deal was really good. The only thing that my boyfriend complained about was the bed. It wasn’t soft and sinks-​in in other areas when he lays on it. Overall, clean rooms and nice balcony to have a drink or two outside that overlooks the vineyards. Nice staff when we checked in and out of the inn. We liked the Geyserville Grille that is on the property too.

Amazing place to stay in wine country! The staff were great and the rooms were just like the pictures online. The grill next door has great food and drinks too! We’ll definitely return.

My wife and I loved it here. Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to everything, and good food. This is one of those hidden gems you always hear of but never find.
Setting was perfect. Price is reasonable. Hit it!

We stayed here for the first time and overall it was a good experience. The Inn is conveniently located off of Canyon Road and just a short distance to many wonderful wineries and downtown geyserville. The Inn is also surrounded by beautiful vineyards and is next to the geyserville grill, unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to try it out. The service at the front desk was great as the attendant was super friendly. These are some of the issues we had with our stay: we stayed in the Queen room and our bed seemed like it was a double. I asked the lady at the front desk and she said as far as she was concerned the rooms did not have double sized beds. Not the biggest deal, I was just curious. My only other complaint was that the bed was very soft and uncomfortable. I felt like I was sinking into the bed all night and just wasn’t able to get the best sleep. Other than that, I can’t complain because it was a great price and I would definitely go back, maybe we just got a bad room this time around.

I just returned from staying at this place, and i must say I had a great time. The scenery and ambiance were excellent. We had a view of the mountains behind us, and even a small patio. The room was nicely decorated, had a nice refrigerator, the bathroom was roomy, and there was complimentary wifi and direct tv. the climate in the room was very cozy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. my only suggestions would be maybe to figure out how to make the balconies more private? Also, I’m not sure if they offer firmer pillows, but thats just my preference. The wine we got from the Inn was delicious, and the wineries in the area are some of the best and easy to drink wines I have had in a while.
Lunch at the café next door was amazing. I wanted to walk in the kitchen and high five the chef!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Geyserville Inn for a night recently during a wine tasting trip. Through a series of unfortunate events, we ended up having a really crazy day and it was about 10:30 when we finally checked into the hotel.
Upon entering our room, we were impressed with the décor. The room seemed clean and inviting and the white and green color scheme was done in a tasteful way that gave the room a slightly modern look. However, there are important details about a room that the Geyserville Inn seems to neglect. The air conditioning system in our room was incredibly loud. It wasn’t as bad as a leafblower, but it wasn’t too far off from that either. Even though we were both exhausted, we still had trouble falling asleep due to the A/​C. The pillow on the bed were super uncomfortable too, and that made it even more difficult to fall asleep. I think between us, we might have gotten a combined 8 hours of sleep (maybe). Other minor things (that are actually kind of important for making a guest feel comfortable) included the fact that there was no pen in the room or any information booklet about the hotel (containing info like when checkout time is). Also, they opted for the really cheap single ply toilet paper in the bathroom. While the cosmetic aspects of the room were fine, the functional parts need work. For the amount we paid for a room, cutting corners for the functional aspects is not justified.
While the manager was really friendly, I don’t think that the quality of the rooms justifies the price. It would probably be a better idea to stay at a B&B or even a hotel in Healdsburg.

My boyfriend and I stayed here one night after a long, terrible day where everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Around 10pm we abandoned our plans to get to Calistoga and started looking for nearby hotels on our phones. I called the Geyserville Inn and they had a room available. For the price I was expecting a shady roadside motel, but at that point we just needed a place to shower and crash so we booked it.
Could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, clean, quiet room with a fireplace, and the best shower I’d ever had (granted I was freezing and covered in dirt at this point, so may have been biased). We went to bed comforted and woke up refreshed. We were up early and back on the road, but saw the pool and jacuzzi on our way out, and honestly discussed ditching our planned vacation and just staying there for three nights instead.
This place is lovely, and dirt cheap by wine country standards. We’ll definitely come back, hopefully under better circumstances.

Great location for our wine-​tasting trip along Dry Creek Valley positioned right between Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Wine Tasting.
The rooms were nice and comfortable. We
had a nice patio looking out back at the vineyards.
Only negative was the patios aren’t that private.
We would recommend and will return!

A very nice and relaxing place to spend a few days in the wine country. Amanda at the front desk was very welcoming and informative. If you know which winery you want to visit, ask Amanda if they have a coupon for you. You only need those for places you want to visit. We went to Francis Ford Coppolla and Pech Merle. The former was fun and interesting; seeing memorabilia from some of his movies. You’ll also see the Tucker and be amazed at what kind of an automobile it is.
Pech Merle wine tasting was one of our best experiences.

A nice find, our room was on the extremely small side, but clean and had a beautiful fireplace. Nice walking grounds on the property, I wish the restaurant was open on Sunday but they do offer a bbq until 7. Love how the pool and jacuzzi were empty for us to enjoy.

I brought a travelzoo package which include a nite of hotel. 2 breakfast and $ 15 lunch along with free wine tasting. The staff and the server at the grill is very friendly and I even use the $ 15 lunch for take out. A++++ and the hotel is very clean.

Perfect location for wine tasting on dry creek road. Close to some good restaurants plus a restaurant next door. Clean and comfortable. Great views and clean hot tub. Friendly staff. Would return.

In summary, this is a wonderful place, and you get so much value relative to the price with a great location for spending time in north Sonoma. Also, for those looking to have an event, this place exceeded our expectations. My wife and I got married here on Labor Day weekend of 2014 and the staff did everything to ensure our event was outstanding.
Important to note, Liat (events coordinator) and Gary (GM), came on board in early 2014, and we immediately noticed a difference in experience and customer service. In short, they were amazing! They go the extra effort and know what they are doing. We have visited a couple more times since the wedding and are always treated like family, Geyserville Inn is very special!
You cannot ask for a better setting, in amongst the vineyards, set in the valley overlooking the hills. Rooms have a great view from the balcony and our weddings guests were astounded from the afternoon looking at the vineyards and hills to the evening watching the sunset to night looking at a clear night sky with tons of stars you cannot see in a city. Take a look at the pictures of the event space. If there is no event going on, we recommend buying a bottle of wine from the front desk or the Grill and enjoying the space.
The rooms are great, and while there are nicer accommodations for 3 or 4 times the price in Healdsburg (we love Healdsburg too, not bashing it!), these are very nice rooms; clean, simple and quality.
The location is perfect for weekend or longer travellers. You are about ²⁄₃ to ¾ of a mile to downtown Geyserville (a nice walk if you want to), which is about a half a block long with wine tasting rooms, a café, a couple stores and 2 amazingly good restaurants. Diavola has blown me away every single time, they are creative and classic and full of high class quality (definitely worth the time). You are close to the 101, and about 6 miles from the town square of Healdsburg (less than 10 minutes by car) and have access to Canyon Rd, Dry Creek Rd, etc.
We love this place and are always looking forward to our next visit to our special place!

Room was nice. Bed spread was not made for room but for the price we paid, we should not have had to call and ask for kleenex, box was empty, toilet paper, only a partial roll and burned out light bulb in bathroom.

Wedding season has started and there are so many RSVPs, +1s, and vegetarian options. My head is spinning! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Anyway, my older brother from another mother finally landed himself an amazing woman and best friend! Congrats to them both!
Anyway, I stayed here for their wedding and the place is small and cozy. It’s not amazing, but it reminds me of a cozy cottage in the woods. It’s adorable and low price. Right next to the inn is a family owned restaurant, which I wish I had enough time to try. The room I had was fairly big and had an amazing view of the mountains and the vineyard. The queen bed is so soft and fluffy. I wish I had more time to just lie around and do nothing. Sigh! You know the bed is good because if I was able to fall fast asleep upon arrival, it’s soft and fluffy enough to complete a whole nap cycle! The staff at the front desk is friendly and provide good customer service. I gave it 3 stars because the room I was originally assigned to would not lock shut and the keys to open the doors became an issue. I had the wrong key all the time! What’s the deal?!
Oh well. Nonetheless, the place is nice and seems to have a lot of deals. The rooms are clean and there is complimentary water and coffee at the front lobby. The place gets cold, but the comforters and warmth of the fireplace was helpful! Bring socks!

I was worried about staying here after I read some of the bad reviews. I don’t know what hotel others were staying in, because this one was so well appointed, relatively quiet and peaceful. We had a junior suite which to me was nothing more than a room, but the bathroom had all stone tiling, the shower had great pressure, there was plenty of counter area for 2 people to put things and we had a very comfy king bed.
Unlike most hotels, the noise — there was some with people coming and going, some kids, etc. — was very low. The location is amazing, in the middle of grape orchards so you cannot get too picky about that. The windows were functional, the shades all worked and we had a nice little patio I would have used in the morning to sit in the sun, but it was already too cold. We didn’t make any use of the pool or hottub (again, too cold out) but that area looked a little cramped.
We had a fireplace but didn’t have the time to enjoy it. I did enjoy the bed, with its wonderful comforters and sheets. I would def go again if I had the chance and I would suggest asking for a room in the back (which we had).

TERRIBLE! This room smelled of paint and the bedding was uncomfortable. We were with a Wedding party and although we verfied we’d get the $ 109 price, we were still charged $ 179 through their «express checkout» process. We tried to talk with Shelby, the front desk girl but she was unhelpful and un-​accomodating and she said that we’d have to discuss it with the manager 3 days later. I spoke with Justin and he said it would take «at least a week» to retrieve the documents from their off-​site storage facility. 3 weeks later, I was told that I actually will get the $ 109 price and was refunded.
The service was sub-​par except for the lovely Pam who checked us in. But due to the fact that I had a terrible headache from the intense smell of paint and was overcharged, I have to give this place 1 star… and even that is too much. :(
