Hilton Garden Inn Gettysburg

Very nice staff! Beds are Tempur Pedic that can be adjusted. The problem was the adjuster did not work so the mattress sagged. Those type of beds are also notoriously hot.

This was a 5 star stay all of the way. It was approximately 10 minutes from the battlefield and very quiet. The hotel was very clean and the checkin was very easy. The room I got was huge. I really enjoyed my stay here.
One thing that was great about the hotel was that there is a grocery store behind it. It was very easy to run there, get a few snacks and drinks, and have them in the room for the next day. This will absolutely be where I stay the next time that I am in town.

Pros: Good rate, nice staff, clean and comfortable. Snacks and drinks in lobby. We loved the warm pool and hot tub! Easy parking, easy check-​in. Cons: Restaurant was so-​so at best. $ 6.95 for average cold continental breakfast. Treadmill in fitness center was broken. We had noisy neighbors, but because the hotel was fully booked, they were unable to offer us a different room. I called the front desk twice to try to address the noise level, then just handled it myself.

For the price ($ 115), I couldn’t complain. Good amenities in the vicinity — McD was just across the road, and the supermarket (Giant) 200 yards away. Also quiet even though it was just recessed from the main road.

Rooms was very nice with a Keurig coffee maker instead of those awful drip kind. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so I can’t comment about that. The staff was ok not overly friendly.

Very nice hotel and zero complaints! You can’t ever go wrong at a hilton hotel, well at least I’ve never had any issues.

Very clean and spacious rooms, which are well decorated and furnished. In particular the mattress was very firm and comfortable.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
Wifi was good speed, and very easy to connect to, a network cable was also provided in case of issues with the wifi.
The pool /​hot tub area was a great place to cool down after a days drive from Ohio, though the jets in the hot tub were a little weak for my liking.
A good place to stay for touring Gettysburg.

The hotel was lovely. The check in/​out staff were friendly and quick. Our room was large and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the wifi was easy to access. The parking lot was big and the hotel was less than 10 minutes from Downtown Gettysburg.
Our room did smell like smoke (the hotel is non smoking). It wasn’t terribly strong, and we informed the front desk as to avoid getting blamed for smoking in the room when we don’t smoke. The receptionist quickly offered us a free breakfast, noting that the hotel was full. We were appreciative of the free breakfast. However, I don’t recommend eating at the restaurant. We waited over an hour for our breakfast. They had one cook, one waitress, and one hostess/​busser. There wasn’t any clean tables when we arrived and after waiting for 10 minutes we cleaned our own table. The food was cold and many people got up and got their own food because it sat at the counter for so long. It was a mess. Additionally, the hostess and waitress fought out in the front which made it extremely awkward.

Enjoyed our stay! Very clean and nice hotel for the price. Free Wifi, small refrigerator, microwave, on site restaurant, grocery store within walking distance and Downtown Gettysburg is only a short drive away. Would stay here again!

Clean friendly staff however do not eat in the Hotel restaurant. Food took over an hour to come, waiter keep coming over only 5 mins. Got my food the chicken was ice cold I sent it back and went to Arbys! Wife ordered a wrap with a side of loaded mashed potatoes. well it wasn’t mashed more like chunky style. Anyway that’s that.

The staff was very courteous.
Small indoor pool with a hot tub. Also a small fitness center.
Free cookies were a nice treat!
The location is on the outskirts of town.
Nothing in walking distance, but an Arby’s.

Very nice hotel for the price. My only complaint was that the pool was closed for my 2 day visit.
The room was spacious and clean. Free WiFi is always appreciated. The exercise room was okay, but could have used some better equipment.
The rate wasn’t bad either. Used a coupon from a travel magazine we picked up at a rest stop which was $ 20.00 cheaper than the normal daily rate.
Freshly made cookies was a nice little bonus as well.

I really liked this hotel. I didn’t really have any complaints at all… (and I’m quite picky when it comes to hotels) Refrigerator, microwave, free internet, restaurant on-​site, comfy bed, good soundproofing, etc… this hotel has everything you could want. It’s not quite in the downtown area among all the quaint shops, but it does have easy freeway access, and is a short drive away. Recommended
