Gettysburg Battlefield Resort encompasses over 215 campsites, accommodating RVs up to 40 feet in length. In addition to our pristine grounds, the Resort is home to our historic lodge and general store, as well as climate-​controlled bath houses, a game room, large playground, shuffleboard, and laundry facilities. We also offer a fully stocked lake for fishing and paddle boating, modern cabins, an Olympic-​sized outdoor swimming pool, mini-​golf, nature trails, an outdoor pavilion, scheduled activities for the entire family, as well as live Civil War reenactments throughout the summer.

I guess you could refer to me as a ‘dinosaur’ here at Travel Resorts of America. I started in 1993 as a Groundskeeper at Sycamore Lodge in NC. I confidently boasted that, «I can grow grass on asphalt,» during my interview and it seemed to endear me to the owners. Lucky me! After a brief absence from 1996 to 1998, I moved up to Gettysburg in 1999 because I thought the snow would be a lot of fun in the cold months. What can I say? I was young and didn’t know any better.

If I had to describe that greatest thing about being here, I would have to say the diversity of my job; every day I come to work I am doing something different and I am constantly learning. If you were to ask me exactly what I do, I would reply, «well, it might be easier to ask me what I DON’T do.» I love my job and enjoy meeting the many Members of our Travel Resorts of America family. I’m lucky that when people ask, «how many people can really say that they love coming to work?» that I can proudly answer that I do!
