Great clean shop with quick service and excellent value! I’m getting an oil change for $ 19.95. The employees are pleasant and efficient.

Took my car to Mr Tire in Montgomery village for an oil change and exhaust repair they quoted me 800+ for the exhaust and charged me about 70 for an oil change. I wanted a second opinion so went to Midas in Germantown they fixed it for 300 and haven’t had any problems since. Recently had an oil change at Midas for 20 $. Definitely recommend Midas.

Very nice both over the phone and in person! They work to help you get discounts and they’re much better than the Jiffy Lube next door in my opinion.

Sad to see all the poor reviews on this place. I went up to this location one day to get my 22 Rims off my 2015 SXT Dodge Charger and place the factory tires back on for the winter and these guys were super friendly, helped me out quick and did not take long to do the job. I asked them about tires for my 06 Nissan Altima and the front desk guy I think is name was Brandon was super helpful!!! He told me that the prices on their tires and gave me great options. Though I did not purchase tires from them because the prices were «off the wall» I appreciated his honesty. Will come back again when I need my Rims placed back on! :-)

I called and spoke to the manager frank i asked to get my resonator off and to put straight pipe. He said it would be $ 150 i said ok i told him i found them on Unilocal and they have a deal on Unilocal $ 75 for 50 deal he told me no they dont honor it its 150. so i asked him if i can speak to manager he said he was. bad costomer service, bad reviews. Bad buisness stay away go somewhere else. I went to Meineke in germantown and they did it for $ 100 and did a great job.

Wow! So don’t got to Midas is Germantown! They have a big sign on the street 19.99 oil change and tire rotation!!! I go in and the guy tells me that is going to be 34.99 and no tire rotation. He said unless we are doing other work that I have to pay full price. And that the owner is losing money doing it for 19.99… Well I don’t really care if your losing money. Don’t have that deal if your going to lose money. That’s the biggest crap ever! Oh and the last time I was here they told me I needed new brakes and so I got them on my own and had them installed and my real mechanic told me I still had 40% left on my pads! don’t go there!

After King Kia tried to rip me off to the tune of $ 4000 Midas did all the needed work for less than half they were so nice to me. I would and will recommend them to everyone. Thanks again for getting me back on the road

My service went from great to OK. I initially stopped here to get an oil change, and I thought everything was fine. Well a day later, every time I would turn on my AC I would smell strong gas fumes. I immediately took my car back to MIDAS, and it was discovered that oil had been spilled on my engine and seeping through my vents. Of course they took care of the issue, but it would have been great to have it done the right way at first.
3÷22− So I just wanted to update my original review. I stopped by MIDAS again on Saturday to replace an air filter and get a brake flush and I must say their customer service has incresed significally. I will return for all minor repairs I may need

Beware that unless your car is brand new they are going to try to sell you all kinds of services that your car probably does not need.
I have an old car with a new (under 20,000K) engine and they told me that it was leaking oil like crazy, because ALL Lincoln engines leak after 100,000K. Since I did not fall for it and told them that the engine is new, they tried to force some other unneeded services down my throat, such as an engine flush.
Believe it or not, they also tried to sell me something called «tune-​up in a can» (as if a liquid could adjust the timing) for only $ 39.99. And the guy said that the price was just today, just for me!!.
While I waited, an old lady came with his grandson. She just wanted to know if the car was OK, because that morning they saw white smoke coming from the exhaust for a few minutes. The service guy tried to sell her over 390 dollars in services that she did not need, because that morning was cold and every car had «white smoke» coming out of the exhaust. Of course, I told the lady to take to another shop.
I would not recommend going to this Midas unless you just want an oil change and are willing to say no to everything they are going to try to sell you. In my opinion, they are not to be trusted.

Stay away is my advice. Gave them a try for the first time today since I gave up on Jiffy Lube because I gave them two chances, and they were terrible each time. Went grocery shopping this morning, and when I checked out they gave me a coupon for $ 19.99 oil change and tire rotation. Been putting off getting it done, so decided to go for it. I guess they changed the oil, I assume they did, but they didn’t lube the chassis and did not rotate the tires. The receipt they gave me was written up «lube oil change and tire rotation. » No lube, no tire rotation. So they basically did ¹⁄₃ of the work. Also told me struts were «leaking» and marked «struts/​shocks over 50 k miles.» Wrong! The struts have 30K miles on them, had them replaced at a dealership a couple of years ago. Now I have to wonder if they did something to my struts to try to get more work.
Also noted «wipers scraping» and recommended replacing wipers. Replaced my wiper blades a month ago. If the windshield is dry of course they’re going to scrape. Typical rip off, try to sell you stuff you don’t really need, possible sabotage so you’ll need what you didn’t when you got there and didn’t even complete all of the work they were supposed to.
Gave them a try, won’t go back. First impressions can be everything when you’re assessing a place, and my impression is stay away from this place!
Damn shame you can’t trust most to do good, honest work. I guess morals, scruples and integrity went the way of the dodo bird.

Its been over a year since I have been to this Midas and it still makes me mad thinking about it. I heard noises when driving and squeaks from the front of my truck when going over bumps so I took it in to this shop. They called me and told me that i needed to replace my brakes and rotors, and that this would cost 2500 dollars. I was in a pinch and didn’t know anything about typical costs for this type of work so i said ok. When I got my truck back, it still sounded funny so I took it to a different mechanic. A mechanic from another shop said they couldn’t pinpoint the problem without taking it apart and I didn’t want to pay any more so I said no. They also said that the backing plate was missing, and that Midas charged me twice for labor (once to take off each wheel for brakes, and then again to take off each wheel for the rotors). Midas said they had taken off the backing plate because it apparently was really rusty, even though the backing plate on the other side was in great condition (other mechanic laughed at this blatant lie). I also called a midas down the street and asked for the price of the exact same work on my truck, and they said it was their policy to do it for $ 1000. One week after taking my truck to Midas, my truck broke down on a highway near baltimore, and finally the issue was resolved by a baltimore mechanic. That is, until today when I finally took my truck in because the squeaking came back, and was told that a rotor was in really bad shape due to poor installation. Apparently with midas you get a lifetime warranty on brakes and rotors purchased at the store (although I heard from a friend that he tried to get his brakes replaced using this warranty, but Midas refused unless he also replaced the rotors at a cost of 1200 bucks), but even if the rotor, brakes, and labor were free, I will never let them touch my truck again. I saw some people come in and walk strait into the garage to ask for oil changes from their buddies, but if you don’t know anyone, it is honestly a really bad idea to bring your car to this shop.

These guys are snakes. I got a purge valve replaced on my vehicle and it cost me $ 235. Which was more then the dealership would have charged. $ 117 for a part that cost $ 35 at the delear. $ 90 dollars labor for a part that took 2min to repair, only charged $ 90 for labor because i told him thats what the delear quoted.
I will never go back to this place again. I would even bet that the part they took off wasn’t even broken. I wouldn’t trust this business with a toy car. making money comes before giving a customer a fair price and honest asscessment.

I needed a shop to assist me in removing 2 Oxygen sensors from 2 separate exhaust pipes. These pipes and sensors were already taken off the car by me. I needed a shop that had the proper tools to get around the wires that prevented any of my tools to get around. I also needed them to install them onto the new exhaust pipes that i had installed onto my car. I arrive at Midas, and explain my situation to a technician, and he offered to do the easy task just for free. He then realized that he would need to heat the pipes up to remove bolts and asked me what I thought was a fair price. Being ignorant to the costs of the gas that is used to heat up the pipes, I said that $ 40 would be fair. Hesitantly, the technician and another manager said that an hourly rate is wanted, $ 104.95. Furthermore, they said they would install it on for me too. I thought this was ridiculous, but after one of the managers reassured the end results by saying «at least you’ll have them in on your car, and not worry about it» I agreed. after 45 minutes, I am told to come out by another manager, and he tells me that the sensors were on the pipes real good, and the threading of the sensors were completely destroyed. Me trying to be reasonable with the situation, I simply told him that I’m not going to pay for anything, but the manager told me that i have to. Not only did Midas, not install anything on my car, but they Broke two Oxygen sensors that cost $ 60 dollars a piece, according to the technician. Furthermore, they charged me $ 104.95 for 45 minutes work that ruined my sensors. And I also must claim that the managers, nor the technician, EVER warned me that there were risks involved. I called the President of the 3 locations, and he had the managers call me back and offer free installation of the new sensors that I was to buy with my own money. This is a 10 minute install.
I deserve not only to be compensated for new Downstream oxygen sensors from the Hyundai Manufacturer, but I ALSO deserve my $ 104.95 back. This business had failed to warn me of any potential risks like the current result.
Horrible business. The thing that kills me the most is that the President Russ Rotruck, would not even own up to his company’s mistakes.

Excellent price for oil change and tire rotation. They also inspect fluids, tires, brakes, etc and make recommendations. I got my entire 30K maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, engine filter, cabin filter, and inspections) done for under $ 100… where as the dealer was charging $ 632. BIG difference!
