One thing I really hate is being interrupted when I try to place an order. Shut up and listen to what I am trying to tell you!!! Don’t let me get half way through the order and say something like«do dis be fuh here?» Don’t yell in my face when somebody else comes through the door. Don’t yell at other employees like its Saturday night and you’re half drunk. I started to just walk out without ordering at all. The food was ho-hum at best. I would have thought a restaurant in hoity-toity Germantown would be far better than this McAlisters. As it stands, this place is a waste of real estate. Something else would be far better here. Needless to say, there is no need to return. My advice is to go somewhere else to begin with.

My work ordered in lunch from here for a team meeting and I wish I had taken a picture of just how sad my veggie wrap was! Since I unfortunately don’t have a photo, let me paint a picture with words instead: — One leaf of lettuce — 1 small size cheese slice — 2 pieces of tomatoes — some 7 – 8 small cubed cucumber pieces And that’s it! I couldn’t believe it! It’s not as if I got this veggie wrap for free — my work actually paid good money for this, and so I reckon the least these guys could have done was acted with equal integrity and provided a decent lunch which was fairly paid for. I mean you could have added Avocado, olives, onions or how about perhaps more than just that 1 slice of cheese! To really rub my nose into it, I sat next to a coworker who was eating a ham sandwich and this had several layers of the meat stacked up, so you could actually see the filling, whereas mine was all bread and almost NO vegetables! It was just truly a sad lunch experience for me, and so based on how un-generous they are with the fillings(for veggie wrap at least) I don’t plan to go back here and definitely will try to avoid work ordering from here again. Service is bad, lazy and slow. The owner needs to get a better crew and the other reviews agree with me. Food can be good if they would make it right and heat up the potatoes. These two McAlisters in Germantown both have really lazy and slow people behind the counter.

Yes, I loved the staff, clean restaurant and feel of this restaurant. I ate so much for under $ 10.00 it was amazing. I loved being able to watch TV.

I came to this location because I was gifted a birthday amount and so they honored the gift amount and it was for my birthday– I ordered the hot turkey avocado tomato mayo sandwich with a side of potato salad –everyone was friendly and they wished me a very happy birthday!

NO stars if I can be honest! I ordered a chef salad to go. Had to fish out over half the several day old lettuce before digging for any pieces without yuck on them. Toppings were minimal. Bacon means 2 half strips of dehydrated bacon on top… not bacon bits. I will never go to this location again.

It is ok here it’s a convenient location and the new big TVs are nice. Counter help very friendly but tables are messy and the A C doesn’t work well it is smelly and humid inside. Savannah salad tastes great w almonds and cranberries and I like the pickle as a nice touch but I’m leaving wanting something more for $ 12.

So I should have known better and checked out the previous Unilocal reviews on this place but hunger got the best of me! I’ve been to other McAllister’s before, so I stopped here for lunch. Well boy was I disappointed. I walked in and you could clearly tell that they were disorganized. People were waiting to order and I am not sure what the hold up was. When I finally ordered after waiting in line for a while, I placed my order and sat down. It was pretty busy so the only table available was somewhat dirty but I figured they would clean it before my food arrived. Well I was wrong! No one came around to clean any tables while I waited. After 20 minutes of waiting, my food finally arrived. The server obviously didn’t care as she saw the table was dirty. I had to ask her to clean it. Also the food was mediocre, the sandwich and fruit cup was not worth $ 8. Plus I didn’t even eat my fruit cup as the fruit was old. Let’s just say I won’t be back to this McAllister’s!

Food is horrible and service is worse! Very loud music and just an overall bad experience.

This McAlister’s is fine, but it needs some décor updates, and the ambivalence of the register staff reflects their own excitement about working there. Some are friendly, some are ditzy– that’s what you get with a young group of people. I ordered the deluxe nachos for my son, but she mistakenly entered the kids’ «nachos», which is rotel and tortilla chips with some Teddy Grahams. Carbs, carbs, and fat. My daughter said her cheese sandwich was passable, but threw away half of the bread. I love the vegetarian chili, but think it’s probably the same at every store. Nothing special, nothing terrible. The restroom was clean.

Wow. How do you spell SLOW? McAllister’s in Germantown. 30+ minutes to get food with no one in the place

I’ve always liked McAlister’s, but it seems like this location is below par. The food wasn’t excessively late, but had very little flavor. I had the turkey reuben, which is one of the strongest tasting sandwiches that you can eat, and it was flavorless. My husband’s turkey melt was also very bland. Disappointing for sure.

Disappointed…45 minutes to get a soup, salad and a baked potato. Food was also below average. Won’t be going back.

Save your money and go somewhere else. We were one of two people in there so the service was quick, however, the hot sandwich I was supposed to have was cold and the soup was warm at best. This chain has gone down hill and I will try my best to not eat here again.

Another below average lunch deli. Their system for placing your order is not very efficient. The food is good but not on par with a really good deli. McAlister’s has a lot of locations, maybe This one had an off day. I’ll try another location.

Good muffaletta but the turkey sandwich was served with nothing but turkey. No cheese, condiments, etc. It was a take out order and I didn’t check before I left assuming they put stuff on a sandwich. My mistake.

I used to like McAlisters when I was in college here at the U. of Memphis. However, after I got married and one of my wife’s first jobs out of college was as an asst. manager for this chain, I learned that the tip jars that they set on the counters of each and every location is actually pocketed by the owners of the Memphis franchises, JME. How they think it is appropriate to make customers believe they are rewarding good service and then simply add it to their store profits with a big«F off!» to their hourly employees is beyond me. Therefore, my wife and I refuse to frequent their locations and pad their deceitful pockets. Shame on you, JME. On the plus side, my wife was able to use them for a year worth of experience and move on to a better position, so thanks for being a steppingstone!

I stomached my meal one evening and promised never to return. Too many crying kids, stupid parents who won’t control them and dirty dirty floors! YUK! Double yuk!!! I don’t care how good your sandwich is or how good your sweet tea is(c’mon, is bloody sweet tea!), I won’t ever step foot into this particular McAlister’s again.
