History

Established in 1908.

George E. Kuhn & Co. was founded in Miamisburg, Ohio in 1908. During the early 1930’s Kuhn Implement Co. was one of the largest Alice Chalmers tractor dealers in the state of Ohio. During the mid 1930’s home appliances and propane gas were added to the growing business.

In 1956 William Kuhn sold Kuhn & Co. to his second oldest son, George E. Kuhn. George worked tirelessly to continue the business. He continued growing the propane division as well as home appliances. In 1983 George decided to go back to the roots of Kuhn & Co. and signed on with Ace Hardware Corp.

Currently, George E. Kuhn & Company is spearheaded by President Thomas M. Kuhn, continuing three generations of family leadership, and servicing customers in six counties throughout southwest Ohio. Thomas has 35 years of experience in the propane industry. He is also a Past President of the Ohio Propane Gas Association.
