Awesome service, we had a generally great breakfast, my only tip would be to prepare your gravy with a little more flavor. Ben was awesome, very attentive, wonderful personality!

I wish I could give them another half a star, I just can’t go four. There’s good and bad about Cracker Barrel, which seem to be pretty consistent in locations I’ve visited throughout the Midwest. The good: Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the two of us were seated after a short wait in a line at the hostess desk. The menu is loaded with comfort food of several varieties. Portions are slightly larger than average size. Our order was taken very quickly and served very quickly. I ordered the meatloaf dinner. My slice of meatloaf was thick, it was stuffed with peppers and onions and was seasoned to my taste. Usually, I end up using steak sauce or even ketchup on restaurant meatloaf because it is often bland, dry, or both. Not so at Cracker Barrel, the meat was moist and flavorful and did not require condiments. I like Cracker Barrel’s baked apples. The bad: I had forgotten why I usually order carry out and do not dine in. While the décor is a country theme, cute with antiques related to farm life scattered around the dining room, there is no sound deadening of any kind. The place is an acoustical barn, Every dropped plate, crying baby, and collectively all conversations reverberate off the walls and are a distraction from dining. The noise also makes it difficult to carry on a dinner conversation. Still, the food is consistent, the menu remains the same, and you know what you’re going to get when you come here. On those occasions that I am looking for comfort food, Cracker Barrel is my go-to place.

I have been to this location twice. Both times the food is great! But they do not take reservations and service is kind of slow. The whole layout of the gift shop which also serves as a waiting area really stinks. My last visit I did not anticipate a huge crowd for the time we wanted to eat. But there was a huge crowd and it filled up almost the entire gift shop. Then you have sales associates asking if you are finding everything okay and it’s like«dude, I just want a table.» On my last visit, the waitress was visibility frazzled. Poor woman. The restaurant had been super busy all morning and she was in charge of way too many tables. Our food was very good though. I got a Good Morning Breakfast(or something of that nature) with eggs, turkey bacon, fresh fruit, and hashbrown casserole. They didn’t have my hashbrowns ready at the same time as the rest of our food so she brought it about 10 mins later but brought me 2 sides! Yes… one to go! Definitely recommend that hashbrown casserole if you like cheesy hashbrowns. Food was very good — and the turkey bacon was top notch. Orange juice was very natural tasting, and a good amount of pulp(which I love!). You pay at the register in the gift shop — again, a bit different than the norm. I do like the food and recommend for someone looking for that home-cooked meal and for brunch.

Recently, I had dinner here with my sisters in law, brother in law and nephew. This was my first time ever eating at a Cracker Barrel. Upon learning this, my sister in law asked if I had been living under a rock. She then proceeded to tell me that the biscuits here are amazing and that I absolutely had to try one. I will say, she was right on that. They were nice and warm and buttery. The food here is decent and very reasonably priced. And their portion sizes are huge! I was not able to finish all of my food. For my dinner, I ordered the Catfish filet. It was delicious! You can get it either deep fried or spicy grilled. I chose the deep fried option. It came with a choice of not one but two sides(I opted for the mac n’ cheese and cottage cheese). Our server was wonderful. He did a great job of making sure that we had everything that we needed and was very courteous. Another thing that the Cracker Barrel is known for is their gift shop, which is attached to the restaurant. They have all sorts of unique gifts and trinkets to choose from. I was very pleased to see that they sell Yankee Candles there. I ended up purchasing two of their fragrance spheres. It’s not a coincidence that the hostess station for check in is located in the gift shop, either. It’s a clever way to try and get you to do some shopping while waiting for a table. Well played, Cracker Barrel. Well played.

I like Cracker Barrel, or at least I thought I did. On a Friday morning, they were without a hostess, leaving a server to notice us waiting to be seated. Coffee was decent, but that was about it for that. My scrambled eggs were dry in places and slimy in others. The boyfriend urged me to send them back, but after sending back his own for not being what he ordered — he said over medium, she put in scrambled — I wasn’t eager to try to explain to the waitress that the cook needed to actually DO something once he threw eggs in the pan, rather than letting them sit and dumping them on a plate. Bacon was overly greasy and chewy, so really not enjoyable. I don’t like grits so I ignored the ones that came with my meal. I do enjoy their biscuits, particularly the salt on the outside, but you can only eat so many biscuits for breakfast… Our server was very apologetic about messing up the boyfriend’s egg order, but they weren’t very busy, so I’m not sure what she was so frazzled about. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed, so I won’t be back to any Cracker Barrel for a while.

Always great food, super, friendly, fantastic service, always enjoyable to come here, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Always superb. Also their gift shop needs honorable mention, lots of unique interesting gifts here. So take a step back to yesterday. Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and take a step back in time.

The Cracker Barrel is a unique experience. I do and don’t like that every location has gift shops in it’s lobby. It gives you something to do while you wait, but I think I’d rather have a place to sit instead of a bunch of crap to look at(seriously, who buys that stuff?) The wait has always been long, no matter which location I go too. That’s the price you pay for going to a weekend brunch though, and I can’t hold it against them. The good thing about the Cracker Barrel is it’s consistent. If you find something you like, it’ll probably taste the same every time you get it. 2 stars is as high as I feel like going only because, compared to some other food i’ve had, Cracker Barrel is seriously lacking. If all you want is a place to go get a man sized portion of pancakes and bacon, this is the place for you.

Cracker Barrel is usually rock solid for breakfast food… really for any type of home cooked meal. Unfortunately this visit to the Germantown location was not great as we came for the awesome pecan pancakes, and the first plate of them were badly burnt, and they Made a second set that came out in five minutes and were very under done. The server did take half off the pancake order which was nice, but it was a disappointing trip. I hope this was a one time thing!

Any complaints that I have with Cracker Barrel are really with their model as a whole, not with this location. First — there’s nowhere to wait for a table if it’s chilly or raining(there are very nice chairs and tables outside). This is obviously by design — there’s always a wait and they basically force you to wait inside their store in hopes you’ll be enticed by a bedazzled American Flag visor, or decide you can’t live life without a set of Merle Haggard Sings Your Favorite Hymns CD’s. Second — they won’t take reservations for large groups. I can see not taking them for parties under 8 but if you’re showing up with 12+, it’s only good business to be prepared. It helps your servers and the kitchen. But of course, then all the kids in the party wouldn’t have to spend an hour in the store, whining incessantly for jars of slime candy and pop rocks and wearing their parents down until they give in. Basically, I hate the whole concept of being forced to wait in a retail environment full of faux-wholesome-Americana. You’re always in the way. Your nephews are always hitting you up for money so they can buy nasty candy. Your spouse will be irritated and snappy. The food? You know what you’re getting. I give them props for cooking my over medium eggs perfectly, and their biscuits are decent but their sausage gravy is wack — no flavor at all. The portions are huge and the prices are cheap and the food is fairly mediocre. It’s «America» on so many levels. Service? On our visit, our servers were literal saints. Honestly, if I were faced with a loud, irritating, chaotic group of 12, I would have drowned everyone in the gravy that everything here comes with. Our server was patient, kind and on top of our tables MANY unorganized requests. She deserves a medal and a raise(and yes, I made sure we left a fat tip for being so annoying).

Maybe it’s my fault. I was completely spoiled because I lived in Louisiana for 5 years, and Nashville for 1… but Cracker Barrel up here stinks compared to what it is down south. I feel like the cooks from CB should be given a week vacation to spend it at a CB in podunk Alabama and learn how to do it right. My biggest gripe may seem petty, but I think it’s legit. Back in the day, you could get cherry topping for your pancakes and french toast… it was the bee’s knees. I found out yesterday this is no longer a thing. I sucked it up and got apple, but it wasn’t half as good. Plus, with the apples being chunks, I made the mistake of eating the apples and leaving the french toast to be plain… horrible mistake. I’ve found sand that tasted better than that boring crap. It was about noon on a Sunday, and you could tell our waitress was just… done. Mentally checked out for the day, probably after a busy morning. She wanted to be anywhere else but at work… and it showed, terribly. What makes things the worst? They sell the damn cherry preserves in the gift shop, how hard would it have been for the kitchen to go get some of those and slop it on my french toast? Boo. See you in Chattanooga, Cracker Barrel.

Always a great spot to stop on the way to or from Milwaukee! It’s a spot my family loves to come and get a great meal! If you want some great home cooked food, this is your place to come! I’m a fan of the chicken fried steak and their mashed potatoes! They also have a great selection of other sides that anyone could want! They are also very quick and fast to serve you which is always nice. Last time it only took 9 minutes for us to get our food! Very friendly and welcoming which always makes you feel at home! The shop is also very cute and fun to look around in! They have all their Christmas stuff in and a great selection for presents! My family will continue to stop at this great place!

Been to this location on a few occasions, Friendly service that is usually quite quick. Though this place can get pretty busy so sometimes you’ll need to wait in the gift shop and look around. Once you order the food usually comes out quickly. Some notables to try: Chicken and dumplings, Sunday’s homestyle fried chicken. Mac and Cheese, as well as the sweet potato. Only complaint is that this location got rid of the«Country Sampler» that is a staple at pretty much every other cracker barrel in the country, Which is Chicken and Dumplings, Meatloaf, and Ham along with 3 sides. They need to bring that back.

Make it a habit of going here at least once a month. Normally for breakfast. The hash brown casserole is great. Really haven’t had much disappointment here. The servers are cheery and recognize my boyfriend and I when we come in. We receive a warm welcome almost every time. The gift shop is cute. I will continue to dine here.

My wife and I stopped here, as we often do, on our way home from the Milwaukee area. Unfortunately, our visit here wasn’t as good as it normally is. While the food was excellent as always(chicken and dumplins is our favorite), we were told there would be a 10 minute wait for our food due to a power outage that had occurred an hour before we arrived. This turned into 20 minutes. Then, for our wait, we were promised to each receive a desert. We received only one, and that was after waiting for our bill and a boxes for our leftovers. A very nice busser who ended up bringing us our boxes was very nice and apologetic; he should have been our server! What should have been an hour visit turned out taking nearly two hours. But, we will visit again and hope to receive the excellent service that we normally have at this location.

For the most part, Cracker Barrel is a great place to eat. However, this one seems to be a bit slow at times. I stopped here a couple of weeks ago, and our waiter never came back when it was time to give us our bill. We had to ask for it. It only took about 10 minutes of our time, which doesn’t seem like much but when you are ready to get going, it is. I still love the spicy grilled catfish platter and the sweet tea!

Lots of good comfort food and for an affordable price. They have a massive menu so be prepared to read. We went Thurs about 5 pm and l ordered the catfish platter, hash brown casserole & dumplings. My date had pancakes, turkey bacon, & scrambled eggs. Biscuits and cornbread come with the meals. The eggs came our fried for most part and she sent them back, the manager volunteered to cook them and they came back great! The waitress checked on us every 15 mins. I didn’t give another star because I wish they had a better appetizers ie: green friend tomatoes, fried corn, fried green beans, pecan pie and etc. If you want quick comfort meals everybody likes – this is the place.

My favorite place to stop during a road trip, always consistent & satisfying. Stopped in last Sunday morning for breakfast. The wait time was a half hour. Not bad for a group of 8. I’m sure that seating was challenging for a large group. We all placed our orders; I got the Good Morning Breakfast which is two scrambled Egg Beaters, turkey bacon, sliced tomatoes and a side of fresh fruit.. Comes with grits but I substituted that for a yogurt parfait. The order was correct, expedient & filling. The rest of my party seemed happy. No complaints, just happy faces. The drinks waitress was nice and friendly and did check in on us a few times. The meals waitress was less attentive, didn’t check in on us until she brought the bill. The little market area has tons of merchandise, food items, etc. Great place to check out while waiting on your table.

The service was fast and friendly. The food selection was varied to suit any taste. The gift shop is entertaining and fun. The prices are reasonable also. I had a vegetarian plate with sweet potato(a super food!) and grits. It was delicious. If you are on your way to or from Milwaukee and are hungry, this is a good place to stop and eat.

Happy Birthday Brother and cousin. Just a little Shout for my family, we came just after lunch peak for some good comfort food. I guess others had the same idea too. The host asked how many in the party? I said, 2 an ¾, and add one for an invisible friend… Thank~you~very~much good night! We were quickly seated and drink orders were taken we needed time to coordinate our 3 sides and as to not overlap that way we could share. We ordered off the dinner menu had plenty of food and took some home for dinner/breakfast. My brother and his GF enjoy this location because its on the way to shopping in Germantown. It’s amazing to me that this location looks almost identical to the other few hundred stores all along the hwy. South it’s always fun to notice out of state travelers by car tags. TX. The meals were served hot and sides were good although this time it seems like the portions for the mashed potatoes are smaller than usual. The server did a great job in drinks and clearing our area. Tab for 3 was 37.00+7 for great service. We ended up getting hard candy on the way out. It was a good day. Hint… Every time I go, I jokingly request to not sit under the Kaiser blade Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a kaiser blade, French Fried Potaters. Emmmm hmmmm. Why am I talkin funny. You know funny, Haha Not Funny Funny Queer.
