Chateau Country Caterers

Next to the Sew Fancy and behind the Picadilly is Château Country Caterers. Besides being a full service caterer, it is a poplar spot for gourmet type lunch for Germantown ladies. They offer salads, sandwiches, pizza, desserts, and specials. They are fairly reasonably priced, mostly $ 10 and under. I tried the ham, fontina, and mushroom panini. I think in the future, i would try weekly specials. The peppercorn beef cannelloni in brown or red sauce, spinach and mushroom cannelloni, philly cheese steak sandwich were on the special menu when i went. The menu itself is in a stand on each table. The sandwiches and entrée salads are served with a tiny cup of fresh fruit, pasta salad or homemade potato chips. For dessert, you have a choice of fancy brownie, lemon bar or dessert de jour. The food is simple but the ingredients are fresh. It definitely is a nice change from fast food places. It kind of reminds me of Mantia’s in way – simple décor but decent reasonably priced food.
