Whoa… that was intense… but it hurt so good. Ha!
So I had my 1^st session with Alex today after having one month of worsening neck/​upper back pain and tension headaches. He explained to me that I actually needed a trigger point massage rather than a typical Swedish massage. So I was game… by this time I was up for whatever, just to have some relief…
Well…the session wasn’t particularly relaxing, but I know my body needed it. The trigger point massage was uncomfortable and at times, cringe-​worthy, but I noticed my muscles loosening up with every stroke and point pressure. He also stretched me out and used a hot stone towards the end of my session, which was cool because I stepped up my leg routine this week, which left my quads and hamstrings sore and tight.
Overall, I highly recommend Alex’s services for those who need real body/​muscle treatments.
P. S. This is not spa… and his playlist on this particular day consisted of pandora’s 80’s mix. from Air supply to George Michael. I think I even heard some old school Whitney Houston. Ha! I almost bursted into laughter when Marvin Gaye’s sexual healing came on. Now. Another person would probably feel awkward with that song playing in the background, but my weird sense of humor mixed with the slight tortuously painful nature of my session, made this a perfect Unilocal-​able moment.
But Alex is a cool and knowledgable guy, and he’s about his business. I even signed up for 4 more sessions. I’ll just request a different pandora station next time ;)

I saw all these other great reviews so i called for an appt before buying my groupon and we agreed on an hour appt from 5 – 6. At 4:49 Alex calls me to tell me he has to cancel. I was almost at his office but I understand things come up so the next day I texted him explaining that I wasn’t very happy about it because I had to rearrange things around to make that appointment time. I get a text back that the office is closed from now (oct 26) until the end of November. Why was that not mentioned during our conversation?

Alex put a whole new meaning to deep tissue massage. I’ve been quiet a few Asian spots that were good — decent, but Alex blows them out at his price point.
I’ve been going pretty hard at the gym for the last two months and this was perfect to get rid of all that lactic buildup.
Alex was really easy to talk to, and very very professional. To say he does his job well is an understatement.
Other than his deep tissue massages I like how he incorporates stretching (as others have mentioned). I am not the most flexible guy, so he went to town bending my body. Ha.
Overall, I highly recommend Alex if you have knots, sore or tender from your workouts.
Will be going to him once a month, for sure.

Alex’s deep tissue massages are intense. He works vigorously to relieve your tension. As noted by others, the massage is therapeutic and well worth the price you pay.

I can’t believe I haven’t written this review already, but I’ve been going to Alex to get deep tissue/​hot stone combo massages for the last 7 months! He truly gives the best massages I’ve ever gotten in my life, and I’ve been getting massages for years. Alex really knows how to hit those deep DEEP spots that need the most work. When I walk out I feel like a new man! I’m so please that I bought another 6 months’ worth of massages for a discounted price. It’s well worth it!

If you suffer from aches and pains, I would strongly recommend a visit to Alex I immediately felt the benefits of his trigger point therapeutic technique. The first night I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. He was nice and professional. I love coming to alex. I came in with a groupon and ended buying a package for 3 more massages. He is super nice and friendly. The massages are awesome. If you suffer from pain and trigger point, just know that he will work it out for you. room is nice And cozy. Just fyi its a therapeutic massage, don’t expect to fall asleep bc it can hurt ouch. Yet after that you’ll feel awesome. He is also very flexible and quite affordable. Massages cost less than $ 50. It is quite a bargain

I was at home one day and came across Alex website on groupon. I was able to make an appointment with Alex the same day. A few hours later I arrived for my massage. His office is inside a medical building that he share with a physical therapy office. So if your looking for a spa like atmosphere this is not for you. Alex came out and greeted me and had me fill out one form. Then he took me back to the room and ask what type of massage did I want and what was my problem area. The lighting was just how I like it (dark) the music was nice too. Alex was AMAZING! You can tell that he definitely had experience. I got the 90min Swedish massage and for a good price of only $ 65. He also incorporate stretching in his massages, that probably was my fav part. He also ask throughout the massage if the pressure was ok. I’m definitely going back to see Alex in the future. You won’t be disappointed

If you need relief from serious back problems or muscle tension, Alex is a master. Before he started, he asked me a lot of questions to determine the history, location, intensity and source of my pain. I told him I wanted a very deep, therapeutic massage that focused on relieving my chronic pain, and that’s what I got. What I really liked was that the session included stretching and pressure point focus that went beyond the common massage. It was tailored to my body, concerns and requests instead of the generic, one size fits all massage I’ve gotten a hundred times. This was my second appointment with Alex, and I plan to go again. He’s also the most affordable therapist I’ve found in the area. Incredible prices for an incredible massage.
