Not only New England’s best steampunk LARP — New England’s best LARP, period! The costuming of both PCs and NPCs are superb. Attention to plot is priority for the staff — both world plot and personal plot — and supplements battles/skirmishes. The module, however, is the real crown gem: designed and implemented by rocket scientists(no, seriously: a pair of astrophysicists), it incorporates fighting and puzzles(mathematical, logic, music, pattern-recognition, etc) into a seamless whole. Here, too, the great care to highly-detailed props shows through. There’s a fairly even balance of male to female, and the average age is in the mid– to high-twenties. Fighting is well-balanced for both new players and veterans: S&C is a one-hit/one-damage system. Veterans will have more frills(single high-damage or elemental-based hits for fighters, instant healing for physicians, etc) but newbies can come in and still have a good time and be thoroughly effective.
