I just started the sock class. I am so excited and left my first class feeling great. I can not wait for my second class.

If you’re a knitter, you need to find NeedleArts of Georgetown! The selection of yarns is eclectic and wonderful. Karen, the owner, is amazingly helpful, & knowledgable. Karen also sells needlepoint & counted cross stitch stuff, but I can’t speak to that part of her store.

Karen is the proprietress at Needlearts, and she’s wonderful, as is her store. She’s quite willing to help you out, whether it be finding a particular item, ordering it, or just helping you with your stitching. As for inventory, it’s fairly complete. She has plenty of threads, both specialty(Kreinik, gentle arts, etc) and normal(DMC, Anchor), many cross stitch patterns, and quite a few needlework canvases and needlework threads. Really, the only complaint I have(and the reason I gave the review 4 stars instead of 5) is that her fabr ic selection is pretty minimal. Nothing’s labeled there, and I personally find the fabrics fairly ugly. She also does finishing, and can provide examples of finishing techniques that she employs. She does have a shoppe dog named Rosie(very well behaved — she doesn’t get into anything), so if you’re allergic to dogs, you may want to take an allergy pill before you go.
