Herbert Sherbert

My son just turned 5, and I wanted to get a magician for his first big birthday party. Most of the performers I could find were in Austin, asking more than I could afford, and I kept having concerns about whether they would really be that friendly.
Then I found Herbert Sherbert. The website was colorful, included many pictures of the performer without clown make-​up (which, lets face it, clown make-​up is very creepy) and he genuinely looked like a children’s show character, and it was only $ 60 for a half-​hour show. (The rate per hour drops for longer shows) He also advertises on the website that he has a police-​check certificate available if you want to see it. I didn’t ask for it, but the fact that he is willing to bring it up like that made me more comfortable hiring him.
The description of his act on his website included magic tricks, songs, jokes, and a puppet, and he delivered, thoroughly. We actually had many more adults than children, and we were all laughing so hard, it was very easy to enjoy his routine. Even our more reserved family members were cracking up.
He tried to call the children by name when speaking to them, he was very friendly, and very patient when the 3 and 4 year olds were trying to see what else he had in his wagon, and he was extremely energetic the entire time. The kids loved him.
He will definitely be getting repeat business from me.
