these folks are as honest as it gets. Several times I have taken in a vehicle and after they check it out they call and tell me it is a simple fix or needs no repair at all. I highly recommend them

emergency radiator issues; got me in right away and were very honest and fair in only doing the necessary repairs to get our car back to good working condition. Great communication; super easy and stress free.

I recently brought my truck in for what I thought was a stoplight switch gone bad. I had called, told them I had the part and just needed a quote, and they quoted me such a reasonable price I seriously about fell out of my chair. Turns out the actual problem was the stoplight bumper, and not the switch itself. They got the part they needed within that day and switched it out. Even better: when they called to tell me what the actual problem was, they happily told me it was a few bucks cheaper. What they could have done is been like most places: charged me a diag fee and turn around and rob me on parts and labor. Not the case here. Lastly, I’m a woman and I genuinely appreciated the men treating me as just another customer, with respect, and not trying to take advantage of me. Thank you, thank you! I promise I will be back!

Super honest shop. Very helpful staff and in the 4 years we’ve used them, and referred people to them, they always appear to try to do the right thing by their customers.

Gene is the most honest and helpful person I have ever met. He does all the work on my kids cars and if anything, and I mean anything, is wrong it gets fixed immediately and with no argument. Customer for life.

Honest, straight forward, Gene is who I should have called in the first place. I had taken my daughter’s car to another shop near Home Depot and was quoted $ 1400 initially, it sounded high so I picked it up (the quote magically came down to $ 1100). Gene squeezed our car in and found that one of the issues wasn’t an issue at all. $ 400 later we were extremely satisfied customers!

My co-​worker highly recommended Gtown ITAP and I figured I’d give them a try. Wow and Wow! I’ve finally found a shop where i’m comfortable bringing my Mustang.
Gene (manager) was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I’m a car guy and most service shops annoy the piss out of me cos they barely know anything about cars. Not the case here! Gene knew about the correct fluids for my Mustang and a few other things most repair shops would be clueless about. Gene knows his cars and how to repair them, that’s rare!
I got there about 11 am and Gene had an available tech ready to change out my transmission fluid. He said it would take an hour, so i said I’d just have my coworker pick me up. And, to my surprise Gene offered one of his techs — who wasn’t busy at the time — drive me back to work! Granted, I only work a few blocks away and the tech wasn’t busy at the time, but no other shop would offer that!
Interstate Trans & Auto is awesome. Above and beyond customer service, very reasonable prices, and above all honesty!

This place is fantastic. I bring my car here for everything. The guys here are very polite, friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. The service is quick and I know that my car is in good hands. The prices are very reasonable and you’re getting your money’s worth here. I’m not very good with cars and the broke down everything for me in a way I could understand without sounding like they were patronizing me. I would never bring my car anywhere else and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We drive here from Austin because it’s so good. Gene and his staff are so friendly and helpful, and the repairs they do are HALF THE COST of places we’ve gone to in Austin. My whole family uses this place, and I would never go anywhere else.

Great place. Friendly staff, good customer service, honest and fast. I came in yesterday to get an oil change, and they let me know that their technician had left and the new one did not start until the next morning. He let me know that if I came back first thing the next morning that he’d make sure it got done, and gave me a coupon to prove it. $ 17.95 oil change and tire rotation!!! Wow!!! Definitely check this place out. I’ll definitely be back.
