Established in 2007, For Your Spot’s owner, Jennifer Stevenson, has over 8 years of experience in small animal veterinary hospitals, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and is a certified instructor of Pet 1^st Aid & CPR. Our sitters are employees, not sub-​contractors, so they are background checked, complete a training program, and are held to a high standard.

We are certified with the two largest professional pet sitting organizations in the country: Pet Sitters International and The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. Our sitters are insured, bonded and trained annually in Pet First Aid & CPR through Pet Tech, Inc.

For Your Spot is a team of caring and trustworthy animal lovers. Since we are not a one man operation, you will have a primary sitter and at least one backup sitter, ensuring emergencies never have a negative impact on you and your pets.

History

Established in 2007.

For Your Spot’s owner has over 8 years of experience in small animal veterinary hospitals and a Bachelor’s degree in biology.

While obtaining her college degree she volunteered with an animal behaviorist on a bird migration research project, and volunteered with a dairy veterinarian gaining experience with dairy cattle, sheep, and goats.

In 2008, For Your Spot became a Certified Professional Pet Sitter through Pet Sitters International.

In 2011, Jennifer Stevenson became a certified instructor to teach Pet First Aid and CPR through Pet Tech

In 2013, For Your Spot earned it’s Certification through National Association of Professional Pet Sitters

We are the only professional pet sitting company in the county certified with the two largest professional pet sitting organizations in the country: Pet Sitters International and The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.

Business Owner

Hi. I’m Jen, the owner of For Your Spot.

I have had a lifelong love of animals of all types. This love has always allowed me to create a special bond with animals. For this reason, working with and caring for animals has been my lifelong path. I have shared my home with dogs, cats, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, and I have always had a fascination with horses.

Working in the veterinary medical field for over 8 years I understand how much responsibility, patience and knowledge caring for pets requires. I have a B.S. in Biology, am a certified professional pet sitter through Pet Sitters International (PSI) and National Association for Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), and am a certified pet first aid & CPR instructor through Pet Tech.
