Best cinnamon rolls ever!!! We drove by this place in Georgetown with a sign offering cinnamon rolls. They didn’t disappoint. They also offer other baked goods such as cupcakes as well as lunch. They had sandwiches and other casual lunch options. There are some indoor tables and a small patio. They have a coffee bar as well. Very reasonably priced

We have recently moved to Georgetown and we are checking out every place in town. Yesterday we spent some time at Cake. My kids had a great time choosing a cupcake and I was impressed that Kat even took the time to have them pick the exact one they wanted. I got the Organic Purple Carrot Cake. She grew the carrots in her garden! It had the perfect amount of cream cheese frosting swirled on top. My kids got a chocolate and white wedding cupcake and they couldn’t stop talking about them. I would highly recommend checking this place out. My next treat is going to be one of the cinnamon rolls!

This is the best desert places I’ve ever been in too. The white wedding cupcake is the best cake I’ve ever had. That is no exaggeration. It is incredibly moist. Every time I drive past Georgetown on I-70 I always try to come up with an excuse to stop at this shop. And I’ve never been disappointed. The owner is always really nice as well, she is fun to talk to and she often gives free samples to her customers. I only wish there was a location in Denver. Oh well…

Wow, they just don’t make hospitality like this anymore. So quaint with attention to detail. Matt had the chocolate cupcake. Very moist! And people know how much I love that word! Lots of great teas! Which always makes me happy. As the shoppe was closing the owner came out and gave us a complimentary cinnamon roll since she did not want it to go bad. It definitely had a neighborhood feel, mixed with a mom-and-pop store atmosphere! They have a gorgeous patio and yard with lots of eclectic antiques that make you feel transported to another time. This will definitely be a place we come back when visiting the mountains! Well done guys, keep it up!

On a girls weekend trip and found this lovely place. Even though the bakery had just closed the very friendly lady inside served us anyway. The cupcakes were very fresh and delicious!

O… M…G!!! My wife and mother in law raved about this place and finally drug me to it. I had the«big as your face» cinnamon roll and it was hands down the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. If you’re in Georgetown and are a fan of the pastry then this is a must. Just get there early. They sell FAST!

Stopped by in search of coffee and found this little gem!!! Grabbed some mini cupcakes to go with the coffee. The lady was so sweet/friendly and made a great latte! The cupcakes were delicious!!! They literally were so fluffy they practically melted in my mouth! Yummy!!! I hope to be in the area again just to get more cupcakes and try the other pastries!

We love this place. When we lived in Avon, Cake was our must stop location anytime we headed for the front range. Now that we live on the west coast we realize how great the baked goods are at Cakes. Excitedly we called to place our order when we had plans to visit Colorado for a wedding. The owner remembered us and took our order for 2 Mountain Berry Pies. We can’t wait. Awesome place to stop if you are driving east or west on 70. It is definitely worth the few minutes. Everything is awesome there and you would definitely love it!

On a whim pulled over into Georgetown driving back from Vail. After exploring the cute downtown was fortune to check out Cake bakery. I was hoping to find a local bakery since baking is a hobbie of mine and needless to say I found a piece of gold in a silver mining town! Kat made you feel like you were a guest in her home. On display on her counter top were fresh baked goods that she had baked that day in her own kitchen. Everything looked delicious but I asked for her recommendation. Kat had told me about the lemon berry muffin, they were still warm fresh out of the oven with a glaze on top. I went with her recommendation and also got a cream cheese berry danish. Wow! Moist, fresh and favorable… I wish I had bought more to sample. These are the best baked goods I have ever had! I live in Southern California and come to Denver to work every once in a while. From now on I will always make the time to make a trip to Georgetown to go to Cake and get some of Kat’s delicious baked goods.

It’s always such a treat when we go to Cake. Everything here is great, the cupcakes & danishes are amazing. The cinnamon rolls are perfect, and truly«as big as your face» — if you have an enormous head. It’s the perfect stop to make an ordinary day special.

We stopped in for a pastry(or 3) for my husband while staying in Georgetown to ski at Loveland. He said they were delectable. He got a pastry and 2 cupcakes(red velvet and another) and they were incredible. The owner is so sweet and gave us suggestions for dinner and other fun stuff to do in town. We will be back any time we are in the area!!!

We love this place! We asked for scones and they baked them for us to order. We came by the next morning to pick them up and they were delicious. Such a sweet place and the woman in charge was really nice and a great baker. We enjoyed eating here. Check out the box of goodies for 50 cents outside

I recommend Cake for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I am a local to Clear Creek County and have even owned a little bakery of my very own(now Dram Apothecary in Silver Plume, which I also highly recommend) and have been to Cake on two occasions, both with out-of-state guests, and it was an incredible experience both times!(I really need to make the little jaunt to Georgetown from Idaho Springs more of a priority, if only to have a cupcake for breakfast!) The cake is so moist! I’m not sure how she does it, but the owner/baker creates a cake that melts in your mouth and is topped with smooth, sweet(but not too sweet), velvety icing! The egg salad is incredible; the farmer’s baskets are so flaky and tasty; the coffee is buttery and caramely; the cupcakes… ohhhhhhh, the cupcakes!(My favorites are the strawberry shortcake, wedding cake and German chocolate cupcake.) I recommend this little bakery to anyone that will listen! Stop in for a cup of coffee, a pastry and great conversation with the owner/baker! You will not be disappointed… I promise! It should be noted that Cake does not accept credit cards, but they do accept cash and checks and even have an ATM on site for those of your that don’t keep your checkbook handy. Trust me, the very small inconvenience of not accepting plastic is well worth it. Plus, I think we should all be more cognizant of the price that credit card companies charge small business owners… the fees are astronomical, more than just a measly 5% like some are led to believe.

We’ve been to this shop a few times and my wife loves coming here. However, today we went and they only accept cash and pointed us to their ATM in the back. I got out cash and paid and kept thinking how odd that they don’t accept any CC’s. Later I asked the owner why they don’t accept credit cards and she said that she doesn’t want to pay 5% for processing(which is really in the 3%). I then pointed out that the cost to her customers to take out $ 20 from her ATM was 12.5%($ 2.50 transaction fee). Her response was that she didn’t care that it cost us money, she didn’t want a 5% pay cut. I was pretty taken aback. I’d rather spend money somewhere where the owner is not blatantly rude. I rarely post a bad review, but in this case she deserves it.

Cake makes the best cupcakes you will ever have. The perfect day includes hiking somewhere along Guanella Pass and stopping at Cake after. Make sure to get there before they close for the day, because, hey, you earned it. They’re cash only, by the way, but there’s an ATM inside.

We visited Cake three times during our Colorado vacation and we weren’t even staying in Georgetown. Worth the drive. Owner is the most welcoming and generous soul. Baked goods are near magically good. My husband and I loved a variety of cupcakes but the mixed berry-rhubarb pie was the best pie ever. Ironically we started with her excellent soup… but the slippery, sugary slope was too pleasant a slide. A MUST– DO if anywhere near Georgetown, CO. The location is easy to find, straight shot down a road parallel to the interstate at the Georgetown exit. The Georgetown Welcome Center, at the same exit, can direct you. Be sure you ask for Cake, it is the best of bakeries. While in the area, take scenic historic train ride located in the area between Interstate exits for Georgetown and Silverthorne.
