A-1 Automotive – Georgetown

Bad experience and will not use again. We live close to A1 Automotive and thought we’d give them a chance. I feel like they scammed us! We have a 2000 Toyota Tundra and had issues with the power steering. We spent over $ 1000 in Dec 2014 replacing the power steering. We drove the truck a day and had to go back. The hose was leaking fluid and it wasn’t fixed properly. A1 fixed it for us. Less than 2 weeks later the power steering fluid in the truck was dry. We took the truck back to A1 yesterday and they first tried blaming us on the fluid we used. Are you kidding me? A1 filled up the power steering fluid to begin with. Now they are telling us the issue is a rack and pinion leak that will cost us another $ 1000. Honestly, this was probably the issue in the first place. Had A1 done a pressure test to begin with, they could have diagnosed the problem initially. I will never go back.

I love all the guys at A-​1 Automotive! As a driver of two «older» Suburbans, I’ve been bringing my vehicles to A-​1 for years, and now all I have to do is mention my first name and they know who I am. This is a no-​frills garage where they won’t try to scare you into buying work you don’t need; the prices are reasonable and the service is quick. I recommend everyone to A-​1.
