Meet the Business Owner

Joseph C.

Business Owner

Joseph grew up with the influence of food & family with Greek and Italian American backgrounds and has 14+ years of experience in the business. He began working in Rochester, NY, but his culinary passion brought him to the food Mecca of the world known as New York City. There he studied and graduated top honors at the prestigious French Culinary Institute under Master Chefs Andre Soltinar, Jean Torres & Jeaque Pepin.

In 2004 Chef Joseph Cipolla took on the Sous Chef position at The Pearl Room under Executive Chef Anthony Rinaldi (Brooklyn) where they earned their first Michelin Star.

Joseph then channeled his passion while working at the renowned Genesee Valley Club, further growing his knowledge for food and the business behind it. During his tenure there he went on to become a Silver & Bronze medalist for the American Culinary Federation.

In 2011, Joseph started his own company Scratch Catering, which has furnished multiple weddings & private events with his fine dining skills.
