The sub I had here was better than a subway sub. The ingredients were so fresh, it made me actually enjoy ham. I can’t say anything on the price(I got the sub free) but it is good enough for atleast a once in a blue moon eat.

Always delicious, always amazing. I didn’t eat these nearly enough when I was a college student here(though that’s probably a good thing for both my thighs and my bank account), but I always try to stop and get one any time I’m back in town. Their sub rolls are to die for, and they’re always packed full of meat. Perfectly proportioned. A little on the pricey side for a sub, but this is far from JUST a sub. They’re always worth every cent!

Food is usually good, but tonight I walked in at 9:45 and waited at the counter for 5 minutes for someone. When someone finally came, the girl walked over to me angrily and said«um we close in 10 minutes.» I said«ok. Does that mean I can’t order something?»(it doesn’t take 10 minutes to make a sub) and she replied, with the same crappy look on her face, «I already put everything away» I like the food, but this isn’t the first time the service has been bad. Whoever was closing the shop 9÷16÷15 probably shouldn’t be working in customer service. I

Aunt Cookie’s was the first place I went to off campus during my very first visit to Geneseo. I was in the middle of the worst period of my entire life.(Think horrendous back pain, stabbing cramps, a metaphorical tsunami). I was feeling miserable, but their ham sub with everything except mayo was so warm and delicious that it actually made me feel better. I ordered many more times after, and the subs were just as delicious. They are a little bit too expensive, though.

I was visiting Geneseo for the weekend and tried to find all the places I liked to go to when I was attending here. This is not a restaurant and not much here, except for some video games in the back. Having a capicola here brought back memories. While you can always find a good sub, I always liked the way the sub here was toasted and prepared just right. To me, it’s got the right combination of meat and toppings. I would also recommend eating it right away versus taking it out and having the bread get cold. While still good, it’s not the same.

I got a turkey and swiss on wheat sub here to go. I was surprised how empty it was but maybe it had to do with school not being in session or something. The interior is drab and dingy, with discolored carpeting and cheap menu boards, so the draw of this place is definitely not the ambiance. The sub was better than average. The bread lives up to the hype and compensates for the meat which is packaged supermarket cold cut grade. I like how the menu has plenty of options but not too many, and ordering was pretty straightforward. The price is not competitive at all, probably more expensive than wegmans, but I guess a little price inflation is the norm in college towns. I didn’t feel totally ripped off but you definitely pay for more than what you are getting.

Very ordinary, no thrills sandwich. I really don’t know how someone can claim that these are the best subs ever — I think I’d prefer subway over this. I ordered the turkey and there was nothing special or even delicious about it — prepackaged turkey, shredded iceberg lettuce, average wheat roll… Could have made a better one at home. And the person who prepared my sub also squished the bread down so it wasn’t so much as a roll as two pieces of dense bread. AND I had to purchase a drink seperately from a vending machine as they dont’ sell drinks… no thanks.

I grew up in Geneseo and now live in Austin, TX and there’s nothing I miss more about that town than Aunt Cookie’s. They literally have the best subs on the planet and I’ve eaten at a ton of different sub shops in my life. My favorite is the tuna, but their italian and turkey subs are amazing as well. If it ever closed I would literally weep tears of blood. Eat here as much as possible to be happy!

Really great subs for a place that doesn’t look very promising on the outside. I recommend getting the turkey sub. Will fill u up and it will be good!

Being a student in Geneseo, Aunt cookies sub shop is one of the better shops on main street. Maybe it was because i was really hungry, but i got a sub with roast beef and a lot of other stuff, and the sub was AMAZING!

The subs have decreased in quality over time. They are smaller and thinner now. Does not contain enough substance to be considered a lunch or dinner. It can pass as a snack

For some reason i waited until my sophomore year to first go here, which is a mistake I lated kicked myself for. Their subs are delicious, perhaps due to their fresh-tasting veggies or the crispy toasted bread. Drinks are quaintly available via vending machines but there are a ton of choices. Have not tried the cookies but I’ve heard that they are quite good as well. One of the best places I’ve eaten on Main Street.

The best subs I have ever enjoyed. I still cannot find a sub that matched this taste. They are baked in a real oven, not just a conveyer belt style bastardization(i.e. Quiznos). If you are ever passing through Buffalo or Rochester, do yourself a favor and take a detour through Geneseo. It is a nice scenic area and a decent little college town. There is a fountain in the town square with a bear statue that might blow your mind. My parents went to school here back in the early 70’s and maintain that the subs have not changed and are still the best in the land. Students would urinate in the Genesse River and then would drink Genesse Beer. After hearing that I really don’t like drinking that brand so much.

As a student at Geneseo, I had an Aunt Cookie’s sub at least once a week, and loved every single one of them. I even went so far as to drive 5.5 hours(Poughkeepsie, NY to Geneseo, NY) with a buddy of mine over summer break just for an Aunt Cookie’s sub. Insane? Absolutely. Delicious subs? Absolutely. If you’re in Geneseo, this is one of the places you absolutely have to visit.

Jesus Christ, I love this place. There’s something special about the rolls here that make the rest of the sub spectacular. It’s kind of like combining Misty May and Kerri Walsh. Sure, the turkey here is top-notch, but when you add the toasted Italian roll, you have a championship team that will spike a volleyball at your face and have you crawling back to Latvia. My personalized sub here is turkey and swiss on Italian, with oil, lettuce, tomato, and banana peppers. Don’t get the«hot peppers;» it’s a hot pepper relish, of some sort, that will leave your insides on fire until it erupts out of your body like molten lava. The drink selection via vending machines is also awesome and features white tea, green tea, Starbuck frappucino, 2 – 3 kinds of milk, pop, and a large selection of SoBe products. Only bad thing: Aunt Cookie’s doesn’t accept credit cards, so be prepared.
