It’s places like this that you talk about long after you leave the restaurant. Their wait staff is courteous and professional, while being quick and efficient. The food: bring your appetite, because they don’t serve small portions. Most of the meals you cannot finish in one sitting. The bad: there aren’t any bad things about this place. Favorites: Caesar salad, Yam Black Bean Chili, any pasta dish… and lastly, their homemade ice cream and gelato, paired with a scotty dog shortbread cookie. If you want quick and mediocre food, go somewhere else. If you want a great meal, while reveiving a great and warm welcome, go here. Support this local establishment, and all the hard work they put into it.

TLDR: Small bakery. Must go. Fast service. Get everything. Very small bakery/café but boy does it pack a punch as far as selection goes! It’s also one room, so you end up waiting outside if there’s a line. Hands down the best bakery I’ve been to as far as selection, price, and taste goes! But, you have to get there early before the pastries run out – they even say so on the website! Don’t be discouraged by lines because this place is really fast as far a service goes. We had a big group and ordered just about one of everything in half the case. Everything was superb! Highly recommend anything with fruit on it. Be warned, if you get something in a paper bag it WILL leak/soak through. So if you don’t plan on eating your pastry right away, I suggest that you place the bag in/on something that you can clean easily.

We ate here over the weekend and loved it! I ordered the cioppino and it was one of the best I have ever tasted. They definitely do not skimp on the seafood. It was literally over flowing with clams, crab, salmon and more. My daughter ordered the clam linguine and it was the same thing, more clams than she could eat. My husband ordered the evening pasta special– beet ravioli with Gorgonzola. He was disappointed in the portion size. There were only about 5 raviolis in his bowl. The other portions at our table were large so we were able to share but he would have left hungry had that been the only entrée. For dessert I had the coconut cream pie and thought it was excellent. We have been coming to Seaside for about 12 years and this is by far the best place we have eaten.

We’d heard really good things about this place and perhaps our expectations were set too high, but we did not think that this bakery lived up to hype. In all fairness, we only ate at the bakery, and did not sit down in the restaurant section, which was getting several calls for reservations. The croissant were too dry, and they did not even offer to heat them for us, and and our cappuccinos were really disappointing, especially when we compared them to the most excellent ones we had at Crêpe Neptune in Cannon Beach or the very good ones from the Human Bean drive-through in Seaside.

Amazing Cioppino — definitely two meals. I would not recommend sharing as this is great to just take home and keep all to yourself. Average cost is $ 30-$ 50 per person for a great meal + dessert + drink. Looks small from the outside but definitely a larger and cool spot on the inside. I enjoy the decorations on the walls and how it feels as if you are in a dining room, romantic. Servers were on top of everything and very pleasant. Make reservations, order Cioppino, glass of wine, enjoy.

Love the eclectic look of the restaurant. The service was great, staff feel very personable and friendly. Chicken Pesto sandwich was amazing and the fries were also delicious. Very close to seaside but not so close that traffic is an issue which was very nice! Garden out back makes for a very peaceful lunch. Desserts are to die for, would definitely eat here again!

We stopped in here on a recent Saturday morning and selected a ham & cheese croissant, vanilla cherry scone, and lemon pound cake. We ended up eating all for breakfast instead of what we had planned to make! I’d suggest getting the ham & cheese croissant and a coffee to go, drive down to the beach and just enjoy! The bakery-baked breads also looked delicious!

This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. Fantastic food and great service. Our waiter was Jeff and he was super friendly and hustled like crazy to keep us(and everybody he was waiting on) happy. The clam chowder was unlike any I’ve ever tasted and it was delicious! I will now highly recommend this place to others.

The pastries are seriously the best I’ve found anywhere in the world. Bold claim, I know. I seriously crave these. It doesn’t help that I can see this restaurant from my office. Get there early or they will be sold out of their baked goods.

Amazing dinner! I had the salmon and it is to die for! chocolate cake was outstanding too. A must go to. Service was great too. It is a little more spendy but truly worth every penny. Make sure to make reservations because you don’t want to miss out on this experience.

Easily the best food I’ve had on the Oregon coast. We brought the whole family here last night and I’m still dreaming of that grass-fed ribeye steak with caramelized shallots and horseradish crême fresh. Honestly one of the best I’ve had. Not trying too hard — letting the steak be itself — yet rich and complex. My wife got the halibut with some black rice and veggies. This was excellent but after trying my steak I think she was a bit jealous. If we head back, I have a feeling we won’t order fish. The kids had a pizza and fish and chips. The former wasn’t as good as I expected(of course I had to eat some of theirs!), but the fish was tasty. We even ordered some baked goods to go for breakfast in the morning — both of which were pastry-based and lovely. Service was good. It was a slow night, so perhaps not the best example, but we never were lacking for help or refills of any sort. The vibe was nice — kind of a classy throwback to New England cost towns. Not too over the top or kitchy.

Both the bakery and café are 5 star in my book. If you are in Gearhart on the weekend get here early — there is always a line at the bakery. Everything is amazing!!! Our favs are the veggie tart, molasses bread, chocolate croissant… But you can not go wrong with anything you order here!!! The café has fantastic food :) love the ambiance. Great for a date. Very quaint. If you are getting Pizza the Primavera is delish. The maple glazed Salk is to die for… Also– the coconut cream pie is so so so so good– don’t forget to pour on the Carmel Sauce!!!

What they do really well: –Pizza. Sure, it’s kind of expensive, but you’re vacationing in Gearhat, are you really on a tight budget? The Cilantro Chicken is great, but ask them to go light on the cilantro otherwise it’s going to be VERY strong. The Thai Chicken is great, as well. We always get a size larger than we could possibly eat and snack on it through the weekend. –Baked goods. The bakery part of Pacific Way is delicious. If it’s busy season, the line will be out the door but the cinnamon rolls, maple rolls, and ham and cheese croissants make it so worth it! The bakery is on the smaller size, so if it’s busy, don’t plan on eating there. The cons: –Maybe we were there on an off day, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the café section. I got a Ruben sandwich and while it was fine, it wasn’t anything to write home about. The fries were just okay. Two others in my group got clam chowder which they weren’t impressed with. It was overwhelmingly garlicy and underwhelming in all other aspects. –The service was decent, at best. It seemed like our waitress had better things to do, even though it wasn’t too busy when we were there. I wish I could review the bakery separately from the café. Overall, both are fine, but the bakery should be great!

Most of the reviews are about breakfast and the café, we went there for dinner and it was wonderful. This is the place for a nice intimate dinner on a night when the rain is pouring down and the wind is howling. The space reminds me of some of the restaurants I used to go to in NJ as a kid– old almost colonial, the décor is classic, and the lighting is low, almost candle lit. It felt as if it had history, a rare quality in an Oregon coastal restaurant. Service was attentive, fast, and friendly. The food was great. The calamari was exactly as it should be – crispy, not oily, and tender. I had the cioppino, and it was great but huge – and I have a big appetite. I could’ve split the cioppino with someone else, and I rarely say that about food, particularly seafood. My mom had the scallop pasta primavera. Primavera can be a pretty bland dish, but this was very flavorful, fresh, and loaded with scallops. Everything was lovely, Pacific Way is destined to be a favorite for years to come.

This is absolutely a wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere is charming! The food was amazing! We had the Chicken Marsala, Ravioli, & Scallop Primavera. We will definitely make this a regular stop for us when we come to Seaside.

I just love this restaurant. The food is always very good and the service spot on. I really enjoy the fact they have a well thought out wine list with some unusual wines by the glass. I am returning in September for my birthday and plan on trying the crab pizza –it isn’t served at lunchtime –so dinner it is.

I absolutely detest Pacific Way and they are the rudest people anyone would ever eat food next to, made by, or on top of! Never go there, unless you are a serious Masochist!

A shadow of its great past. They were famous for their turkey cranberry sandwiches. Today that sandwich is un-interesting and dry. Hardly any turkey but stuffed with cranberry. Won’t go back. I drove from Cannon Beach to eat a sandwich that ranked with what’s on the shelf at Safeway. Cole slaw was crap. Coffee was good.

Get up early and find out everything happening in Gearhart. Also enjoy the fresh baked goods before they are gone. The best part of waking up is getting a fresh crossaint. There are plenty of Gluten free options that are made daily. Just get in there before they disappear. They make some great coffee and tou can sit down and enjoy your treat. Also plenty of room for the pets outside. They have a couple of bowls outside ready for your otherber of the family. Tbis place is the hub of the community. Stop in say hello and find out the latest. Super friendly staff ready to go and serve you even with a line. Speaking of lines thats how you know its open. If you dont see a lone somebody must have slept in. Try to make it here if you can even if it isnt early. There should be somethimg you can enjoy.

Went with the intention of trying out the bakery, but it closes at 1, the café itself is open till later. Wish they made that clear on their website(which doesn’t work incidentally). Barring that setback, the café is a nice place to enjoy a leisurely lunch. I got the espresso with orange liquer which was delightfully fresh and jelled well with my lunch sandwich of pacific shrimp sandwich. It was an open sandwich, so slightly messy to eat, but hey thats what hands are for when eating a nice meal! Hopefully next time I can get there in time to try the bakery.
