Well, it’s time to make an update I knew this day would come. When Grandma’s changed hands a few years ago, I’d hoped the recipes would stay the same. Well it does not resemble what we used to love… not at all. I can’t recommend this place like I used to. We don’t even make a point to go there anymore. Sad.

Delicious. The portions are huge for a great price. Breakfast is served all day. A great local restaurant.

My husband took one bite of the french toast and said, «I think this is the best french toast I’ve ever tasted in my life.» Too bad for him it was on my plate and not his! The french toast was, indeed, incredible. Our eggs were cooked perfectly to order, the corn beef hash pefectly crispified, and the hash browns were also great. I don’t disagree with the other comments in regards to friendliness, but the service was quite adequate. I was surprised to find available tables at 11am on a Sunday. Don’t know if we were too early, too late, or if Grandma’s Country Kitchen is just a well kept secret. We were pleased to snag a booth. We’re going to have to make a special trip back to the coast… just for french toast!

Pretty good food, restaurant is actually quite pleasant inside. Service was good and friendly although no one really stopped to chat. As usual for this area most patrons were tourists. I enjoyed my combination breakfast. Plenty of food, for sure. Hash Browns were undercooked and had no crispness. Pancakes were good. Overall food quality seems adequate. Cooked with a lot of oil and my eggs and ham had oil pooled on them. Not very appetizing. Very extensive breakfast menu available.

Went last 4th of July weekend and thought this would be a great place to get a home cooked meal… Unfortunately, it was mediocre and wasn’t that good. To each his own.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way back to Seattle. Great service, and the food was the best I have had in a long time. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs with Obrien potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Obrien potatoes were homemade and awesome. My husband had an omelet and really liked his, but wish he had ordered what I had. Portions were large so he got to finish mine too. We Will Be Back On Our Next Trip To The Oregon Coast.

Excellent service, great food. Definitely coming here again when I come to town. Grandma’s biscuit with chicken breast, egg, bacon and gravy was absolutely wonderful. Make sure you come hungry. Decent price and large portions. We ordered and food was delivered very quickly and hot!

No review as it was supposed to open at 7am. We were there at 715am. No one around. And no sign with the hours posted. So not sure when they open. Could be better if they actually posted times.

Stopped here for brunch after readings these reviews. Our experience was really good: great services, food was much better than anyone with one star on here would credit and good value for our family of four. The homemade bread was particularly good!

Great place to eat breakfast if you’re looking for something casual yet tasty and filling! Waitresses were very kind and helpful and were quick to help refill our coffee cups. My husband got the chicken fried steak plate, ITWASAMAZING! I wanted to eat his whole plate. I got chorizo scramble, but it was nothing compared to the amazingness of the chicken fried steak. Filling and affordable. For 2 coffees, and two full plates of food(each came with hash browns, biscuit, slice of orange) it was $ 23.20

We were on our way to pig and pancake for breakfast until a local resident told us about Grandma’s up in Gearhart. The map was off a little, South of the liquor store same building, West side of the road. It’s a small business so you need to look closely otherwise you will pass it. 1 big booth, 6 regular booths and about 5 tables. There was only a couple people in there so seating wasn’t a problem. Service was very pleasant and efficient, 5 stars for service. Meat lovers omelet had meat in every bite. Of two orange juices, one was warm and one cold. Would have been better with ice in it? Coffee was a little weak. No seafood on the menu like a seafood omelet, you would think being a coastal town they might have some sort of crab or shrimp? The meal was filling and a fair price, I would say the food was kinda like something Grandma would make. Skip the lines of the corporate pancake pushers and try the little gem instead.

Grandma’s is alright. We visited during the July 4 weekend for breakfast. No air conditioning, Grandma’s smelled of stuffy bathroom cleaner, chlorine and a whiff of sewer. The menu was rife«wit» misspellings. Nonetheless, our food was tasty. Several issues with forgetful service(coffee cream, toast, berries for pancakes, refills of drinks), overall an average experience.

Seaside was packed this morning so we opted for breakfast a little bit down the road. We decided on Grandma’s. Right on highway 101 so was easy to find. Appearance inside was Spanish décor so must not be original owners. Stood at the front to get a seat and was passed by 4 employees. No smiles, no «hello, we’ll be right with you». Finally the young lady who was the server asked how many and in a few minutes we were seated Nice selection of breakfast items. The h steak breakfast was okay. The ham, delicious, the eggs a bit under cooked, the home potatoes were frozen with a funny texture, the sour Dough toast was the best I’ve eaten. One of our party was missing her toast and it took a while to get it. I think part of the problem is language. Not sure most understand. Smiles are also in limited supply. Overall a fair meal with fair prices if all is served as ordered.

Tried to have a nice homemade breakfast this morning but 2 out of 4 of our orders were wrong. The waitress expected 2 of us to go ahead and eat while the other 2 waited. Not the reason we went out for a nice breakfast. Not sure who caused the mistake — the Mexican order taker or the Mexican cook — just unfortunate for our party. Good luck if you choose this«Grandmas Restaurant».

I think it is has new owners. I was scared to try it but am happy I did. Prices were good. Ham, Bacon or sausage and eggs home fries and toast for $ 8.25. The home fries were good and I don’t usually care for potatoes. I got a side of gravy that i think was from a mix. But they put chunks of sausage in it so it tasted pretty good. Someone at the table next to me got some fresh fruit that looked really good. Someone else got pancakes that looked good also. Service was good. And the server was nice. They are also open for lunch. I will go back.

Very nice new incarnation of this well located breakfast spot. For a few recent years it was awful. If you are like us and quit coming here after«grandma«left a few years ago, come back and try it now. Since October.2013 our waiter said she and her brother have been painting and making it their own. The menu is much more inviting price-wise. We both had delish breakfast burritos. Very reasonable $ 6.25 and hit the spot. We will be back!

Delicious breakfast spot right off 101! Friendly service, crispy hash browns and generous portions. What’s not to like? Make sure you try the chicken fried steak, total comfort food to start your day right! The owner told us that she is expanding the lunch menu with more burger selections and salads. We will be back!

Visiting Cannon Beach from Seattle with my boyfriend — wanted to find a good breakfast spot and we did! This place is great! Solid food, diverse menu(with more offerings coming soon according to our server). I’m surprised this place isn’t more busy! I got the Huevos rancheros and my bf got the chicken fried steak. Everything was prepared well and with love. The chicken fried steak had the kind of crispy crust you hope for, with a rich sausage gravy on top. He asked for crispy hash browns and got exactly that. My eggs were perfectly poached and I loved the sauce on top. Oh — and STELLAR service. Our server was so sweet and checked on us a couple of times. I look forward to coming back on our next trip down the coast. If you want a delicious, home style breakfast at a good price, skip the chain places and come here! You’ll like it because it’s just good food!

Stale and overcooked. One meal didn’t show up until the other three were finished.
