If you can get passed the two ladies at the front desk that were complete jerks and very lazy it’s a pretty good place to stay.

wonderful stay. just curious has anyone else had a paranormal experience while staying here?

First off, it’s not the Hyatt so if the Hyatt is what you are looking for, go find one.
My husband and I were very happy with every aspect of our stay here. I booked it based on location and price and I was very satisfied with both. And everything else about the place.
As you can see by the photo’s, the balconies overlook a creek and we loved the sound when we had our door open. As a matter of fact, if the patio doors would have also had screen doors we would have slept with the door open all night.
The hotel has an indoor pool and an outdoor pool (still heated at the end of October), a racquetball court, weights and an outdoor area with a firepit. Free breakfast in the morning (the B&G’s were just ok). Parking was a little tight but not really a problem at all.
The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable.
I will definitely stay here again if I return to Gatlinburg.

I recently stayed at Zoder’s Inn for the first time. Based on online reviews, I chose this place over others that may have been newer, or better looking, but not as costly. I wanted something on the Parkway so I could walk to everything, but not be right in the middle of it all as the nearby crowds would make it overly loud until late in the evenings. Additionally, the place didn’t have to be brand new, but it also didn’t need to be in bad shape either.
Zoder’s Inn fit the bill on all my requirements. Upon check-​in, the front desk clerk was friendly, and informative, offering several suggestions for dining when asked. There is also a parrot that has free rein of the check-​in area, and is pretty cool. They mentioned this at the check-​in, but I did not partake of the offerings, as there is free wine and cheese from 5 to 7, milk and cookies from 8 to 10, and a continental breakfast in the morning.
Our room was on the second floor of the second building back from the street, so the noise from the Parkway is lessened. Inside, the room was of a good size to house a king-​size bed with plenty of room around it so as not to trip over the chairs and table, or walk sideways between TV cabinet and front of the bed. There was a balcony that you can go on, and it overlooks the stream that runs through the property. Nice place to relax in the morning, or after walking all day on the Parkway. Overall, I’m pleased with what I paid for the stay, and I won’t hesitate to stay there again the next time I go to Gatlinburg.

It was a nice area with a pool and small river. However, we had many other problems. The place wasn’t very clean at all. There was dust and the floor was dirty. The king bed was fine, but if you are relying on the second bed, don’t. It was an incredibly uncomfortable Murphy bed. Although I don’t expect beds that come out of the wall to be super comfortable, it was possibly the worst bed I’ve ever slept on. I would compare it to sleeping on a brick and I actually considered sleeping on the floor. If you’re okay with a very hard bed, it might be fine for you. The breakfast in the morning was very basic. Probably the most basic continental breakfast I’ve ever had. They didn’t do a great job of explaining where to park, so we lugged all our stuff up to the elevator and up a couple long ramps before realizing there was parking right next to our room. I’m at a loss to figure out why they told us to use the elevator (it’s an outdoor elevator that brings you up a hill, but you can drive to the top if you go back to the main road).
All together, very basic, dismal service, and horrible second bed.

Rude staff. Most of the time I felt as though I was a gnat bothering the staff. Issue began at check in when I was told I would not be getting the type of suite or location I reserved through Expedia. The clerk offered no explanation nor concern until I stood my ground while several other guests waited to check in. They finally did offer an upgrade which I appreciated. I was not rude to them but state I did not want the room they tried to give me.
The upgraded room was a tower room. Very large with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was clean but outdated. The carpet did need a steam clean. Although the daily housekeepers did an excellent job with the bathrooms.
All staff, whether the front desk, snack bar or housekeepers tried to ignore the guests. I know their job is often difficult but at least aknowledge the guests and try to smile in front of them.
The outdoor pool looked nice and the indoor pool was the perfect temperature.
The continental breakfast held in the Snack Room was basic with a woman who would make your toast or nuke a biscuit for you. It felt like she didn’t want to be there yet her tip jar was front and center. Same with the Wine and Cheese. Chex mix with hardened cheese cubes. Milk and cookies were a nice touch for the kids at night. Again tip jar front and center. Note that there are no inside corridors. To get anywhere you walk outside.
With so many other hotel offerings in Gatlinburg, Zoder’s really needs to step up their game.
The reason I am giving this place 3 stars instead of 2 is for the following reasons:
1. Trolley stop right in front of hotel
2. In the end the clerk did the right thing
3 It’s quaint in that it has a mid century nostalgic feel

Most of my family stayed here for my wedding. My husband and I had the honeymoon haven cottage, which was nice and very quiet. Most of my family members got suites, which were very large. We all had balconies over the creek. They had complementary breakfast every morning, and complementary wine and cheese followed by cookies and milk every night. It was nice to be a group that could meet in the morning for breakfast then meet again later for wine and cheese before dinner.
My favorite part about Zoder’s is how it is situated along a creek. It is a short, easy walk from the main parkway and then runs perpendicular from the road up the creek. Once you’ve made it onto the property you no longer realize you’re in the craziness of Gatlinburg. Sitting by the pool in the shade or along the creek with a little fire going is so quiet and relaxing.
We stayed from Tuesday night until the Sunday before Memorial Day, and we noticed from Saturday to Sunday the place got a lot more crowded and breakfast was overwhelmingly busy. But if you don’t like crowds, you probably shouldn’t travel at peak season :)

I do not understand why there are so many good reviews for Zoders. The only good thing about this place is that there are balconies over the river. Everything else is just plain awful.
My family and I are currently staying in the tower suites. The carpet is digusting. My daughter’s feet were black after less than 10 minutes. The walls must be ridiculously thin, the amount of noise here is unreal and they aren’t even crowded. The parking garage is a complete joke, it’s so small that you can barely pull out if anyone else is here and it’s supposed to be enough parking for 7 or 8 rooms. The beds are the worst beds I have ever slept on. I’m actually sleeping on the couch tonight because it is more comfortable.
The breakfast here is nothing special, cereal, and muffins. They also have biscuits and gravy that they put in the microwave then hand to you, don’t do it. The wine in the afternoon is a nice touch, but the «cheese» is really chex mix with two pieces of cheese. The cookies and milk are just gas station cookies and a dixie cup of milk, not impressed.
The staff here has been awful also. There was a problem in the parking garage. It is supposed to be for tower suite guests only, we are certainly paying enough to have our own parking spot. Well, two days ago we try to pull in and there is a work van parked right in the middle so nobody can get in or out. We pull in at an angle (the only way we could) and walk down to the pool house to talk to the staff member there. Unfortunately our breathing must have been an inconvenience, she made a show off rolling her eyes and acted like it wasn’t her problem. We finally chose to walk to the office ourselves, we didn’t want to get towed for parking wrong. They were just as rude and told us to that we needed to make sure we moved as soon as the van was gone, when ever the heck that was. We were ready to go in for the night, not babysit some van.
I could really keep going with all the problems we have had since we have been here, but who has the time. The point is, this place should be shut down. It’s outlived its time.

My boyfriend & I loved staying here!!! We used to work for one of the rafting companies and stayed here when we were visiting over the summer. The room was comfortable, quiet and best of all was the creek outside running right under our balcony! We had a great time just enjoying how peaceful it was right outside our room. Also, the location couldn’t have been better as it was walking distance to many restaurants, the aquarium, ect.
We will definitely come back!

My Husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we could not have asked for a better place. The view was amazing and the location was great. It was within walking distance to the small town where they had all the attractions and shopping. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We also enjoyed that they had breakfast every morning, wine and cheese in the evening, also milk and cookies at night, all on the house. We will defiantly be coming here again.

Three stars for the generally comfortable room and very nice view and balcony. No stars otherwise, staff was unfriendly/​insulting and breakfast was dreadful.

The best thing this place has going for it is the creek that runs behind the rooms. Other than that it is just ok. It is dated and there are issues. When we entered our room there was a puddle of water behind the toilet. Since it was a Sunday the front desk said just to throw a towel over it (it took two) and they would deal with it later. The water is now gone but the toilet is still running so will probably start leaking again.
The staff is unfriendly except for housekeeping who are wonderful and charming. Breakfast is just dry cereal and breads which are handed to you by two ladies who don’t want to be there. The wine is good, for the crackers you get a plate with a handful of chex mix and two cheese cubes and two saltines. Milk and cookies are good.

I love the place! I went there for the weekend with my wife and had a really good experience with the hotel services. The room was clean and the stuff was very friendly and gave us all the info we need to make this trip awesome. We’ll definitely stop by there again next time!

First. Beware. There is a 7 day cancellation policy on the deposit. I thought that went the way of paying for refills on sodas in restaurants. The place is clean and well maintained. We are on a second floor room overlooking a creek. The creek noise is so nice. The neighbors close by, not so much. Off the main drag, which in Gatlinburg is a good thing. Next time I will probably opt for a private cabin. Continental breakfast is not worth the price, free. Wifi is terrible. Don’t depend on it. Having to use my hotspot.

Had to come to TN for work, I have stayed here before and will again. They have everything you need and the rates are very competitive. Say hi to Cesar too.

Stayed for three nights in the townhouse. The TH is very small with a rounding staircase. There is no couch in this one but a chair or two to relax in. The bedroom upstairs is nice, but the only thing was the beds seem very small and creaky, old. The room was clean, price was good and very reasonable. Parking is limited but good.
The property is fantastic. Trees and a flowing creek right in the middle. There is an outside grill and fire pit to use and ducks everywhere. Its a beautiful property that’s for sure. The outdoor pool was nice, warm and the indoor pool wasn’t bad. The hot tub was very small and filmy but usable.
There is a continental breakfast and a wine reception at night, followed by milk/​cookies from 8 – 10 pm. Really a nice touch by the management there.
it was only a 10 minute walk to all the good things in downtown Gburg. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Just a really older nice place to spend the weekend.

This was our first time to this area and found Zoder’s Inn on line. Zoder’s was very accommodating for us, do to my work schedule we had change our reservation 3 times and each time they helped us without a fuss. The suite we rented was Very Clean and comfortable. The only negative I saw was that the master bed room door was slightly misaligned and did not close very well. The kitchen and rest rooms were spotless each day we returned. Be careful if your making a left turn out of the main entrance driveway– it can be tough.

The room itself was ok. But real baaaad customer service. I walked downtown from the hotel and was accused by the janitor that I was not a guest. He put a sign on my car saying I dont know what but ripped it off in a hurry when he found out I stayed there. My car had a piece of metal hanging off underneath. I had to get it off which was why I was walking, looking for a hardware store. I had no luck and went back to the hotel for help. I got the grumpy old janitor again via from the crabby old receptionist who proved to be no help. I got another room elsewhere the next night because everyone that worked here seemed to be in a bad mood. Plus the rates were high for subpar customer service. The Smokey Mountains are great and Gatlinburg can be decent but best pick accomodations elsewhere for the reception you will get from staff, despite the easy walk downtown.

Zoder’s has been accommodating my family for over 15 years and every time we have had an enjoyable experience.
Zoder’s is located uphill, away from the downtown drag in Gatlinburg. You can still easily walk into town, but this hotel is located far from the commotion.

— Deluxe suites with a private jacuzzi.
As adults, we prefer the latter as it offers some privacy, being separated off from the main hotel. All of the rooms are quiet, modern, spacious, clean, and safe. Keycard access. Mini fridge.
Zoder’s is a great hotel for more mature children, 10 and up. You won’t find water slides or kiddie attractions here.

Zoder’s is definitely the best hotel and Best Western in Gatlinburg!

This hotel is easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Zoder’s Inn accomplishes this not by providing over-​the-​top nonsense, but instead by providing an extremely unique home away from home.
Nearly every room has a balcony that overlooks an incredible waterway. There are two pools, one heated and one outside. The location is ideal — within walking distance to everything, but far away enough to not hear everything.
The only single thing that could be better is the internet access. Although there are a number of wireless networks to cover the entire hotel grounds, none of them seem to have decent service. Worst case scenario, there is a quiet business center that you can connect your laptop to with much faster internet access.
Will stay here again, and again, and again.
