Bear Creek Gun Shop and Gunsmithing

I like this gun shop. They have a good selection unless there is a gun run. I don’t like agri supply very much though. They have this guy that doesn’t understand the sign on the front of the store nor does he understand the second amendment. Be prepared to be accosted if you are open carrying.

Good personal service, training and an on-​sight gunsmith. The trigger job they did for me was outstanding if feels like the lightly polished everything in the gun. I have recommended them to a number of people. It is real local owned and managed business and I recommend them.

Extremely disappointed with this place. I went into the shop with a friend who is a firearms instructor and former police officer. We were just window shopping for a pistol and wanted to compare sights and triggers on a few specific models. I know nothing about pistols but my friend is extremely knowledgable and has a huge amount of experience. Their display case literally had like 5 weapons, and of course they had none of the models we were looking for (glock or XD). We thanked the women and started to leave but she stopped us. She started explaining to my friend that he didn’t know what he was talking about and that those models were the wrong choice for me. He thanked her for her help even though her advice was unwanted and unsolicited. But she kept going. She turned to me and started in about how those models were all wrong for me since I am a woman. We both stood in complete amazement at how rude this woman was. She kept talking as we walked out the door. Not only does this place have ZERO selection but they were rude and extremely unhelpful. I will never return. However we did go down the street to Eagle 1 and had a great experience. Excellent selection and very nice employees.

I used to shop at another gun shop in Wendell; however, after visiting Chuck and his shop I will ALWAYS come back to Bear Creek Gun Shop! He educated me on my Russian rifle and told me things the other shop in Garner, NC couldn’t tell me.
They will treat you like you’re the only person in the shop and give you all the advice you’ll ever need.
Also, they are very friendly and made my girlfriend feel good about herself and she is anxious to receive instruction in Chuck’s class. This is a Grade A shop!
