For quite some time I’ve needed to move to be closer to work, yet I just signed my 5th1 yr lease. Why do I make a longer commute than I need to? Because what you see is what you get. When you walk into the manager’s office and meet Angie and/or Alaina, they are just as friendly and caring after you sign the lease as they are when you’re just looking. Any day of the year you can walk around the complex, and the buildings, amenities and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I feel like I’m living at a resort it’s so peaceful and quiet. My adult daughter loved everything about my apartment so much that she leased her own apartment here.

My boyfriend and I have lived in The Courtyard Apartments since August of 2014 and we absolutely love it here. It’s a very quiet, well-maintained community of mostly one-bedroom apartments. Angie, the community manager, and Alaina, the leasing associate, are both incredibly friendly and welcoming. Vicente, the maintenance man, has completed all of our maintenance requests the next day and always waves when he’s out and about the complex or at his truck. He even came by our apartment on the 12⁄24 to drop off a package we had at the office in case we needed it for Christmas day! There is plenty of parking for visitors and the community is well-lit at night. Neighbors here are friendly and often wave or smile if you’re driving through or say hello if you pass by. They are pet friendly, but, contrary to all the other apartments I have lived in, I have never seen any dog poop in the grass. The pool is well-maintained, as is the tennis court, and there are beautiful, mature trees scattered around the property. Additionally, they offer online rent payment and maintenance requests, which are both very convenient. I can honestly say this is my favorite apartment complex that I have ever lived in.

I have live here twice, first from 2001 – 2007, and I currently live here. Rental rates are about average for the area. The manager Angie has been here for years and remembered me when I moved back. This is a smaller complex than most, and the majority of the units are one bedroom so thankfully it’s usually pretty quiet. The Courtyard is very pet friendly, there are lots of dog and cat owners here. There are plenty of trash dumpsters here so there is never an issue with overflowing trash. I bring this up because I lived in another complex that was five times the size and had three dumpster that were usually overflowing. The grounds are always well kept, the grass and shrubs are trimmed regularly so things stay tidy looking. The pool area is always clean and well maintained as well. Two DART routes cross here and either one will take you to a light rail station within minutes. There’s a lot of good places to eat within a short drive and a new gym across the street.

I think I’m being generous with my one star rating. I had one of the most horrific memories of my life at this apartment. I lived here with my family it was only 3 of us and were constantly a target of racist downstairs neighbors! They kept constantly complaining about issues that were untrue.(There were atleast 6 peoplen living downstairs with 2 dogs odor was pobably them) They claimed we had an ‘odor’ problem and many other such horrific claims that couldn’t have a percent of truth to them. When confronted by the office staff they sided with them and came into our home and raised their voice on us which was completely unacceptable! We had to move out before the term of our lease and pay an additional months rent. Getting out of there made my life better! Also, the staff said we should move into a neighborhood better suited to us(aka non white))!!!
