Staten’s Appliances

Staten’s was recommended by another contractor, and I had great service by them. They have been in business for 20+ years because they know how to treat their customers right. We had a snafu with installing a dishwasher that was one I already had, and the shop worked with me to get a used dishwasher replacement for the tenant on very short notice like a day or two before Xmas. Much appreciation to the knowledge, speed, and professionalism of these guys. I will continue to use them for my own appliances and at rental properties.

I unfortunately purchased a Refrigerator with a Top Freezer for my garage from this guy. I knew from the start this wouldn’t turn out well, but I went against my better judgement and did it anyway… My last garage Fridge was $ 175 and lasted for 7 years, this guy was selling one for $ 460 (which was one of the cheapest ones)!
It is what I was looking for, and they guy happily took my credit card and said that they would deliver it in one day, 90 day warranty (which I thought was super low).
They deliver it and they guy that was delivering it starts saying «Don’t try to adjust the controls, they don’t work, just leave them set at 3». At this point I should have known better but again, I thought, «meh… I am sure it is fine.» After 95 days, no joke, 95, it starts to give out and the Fridge Part is a bit warmer than it was.
The guy who answered the phone said, «well, that is why we have a 90 day warranty, you can give us $ 150 to come out and look at it and then charge you more money to fix it!» I was appalled. I decide to go from 3 to 4 in the Fridge setting to try to cool it down. Less than 2 weeks later and it seems the motor has burned out, the fridge just warmed up and everything in my Freezer has defrosted.
TL:DR, this company takes cruddy fridges, puts a band-​aid on them, resells them at a premium and doesn’t care about it’s customers. Beware, do not purchase from them!

I bought a used washer delivered and installed three months ago for $ 410 cash, the motor just gave out and when I called them they told me that if they knew when used appliances would go out they would be rich. I am livid! What about customer service? These people are crooks! Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Owner is very informative and incredibly friendly! Great price and dryer works perfectly!

This is where I bought my fridge many years ago… they delivered it after hours, just because that was the ONLY time I was available… many years later and it is still working and they just amazed me today with their sense of generosity! By far the best customer service and appliance repair business I ever experienced. My parents heating element went out in their oven and they don’t have much money to call a repairman out. So after reading the reviews on here and since it was literally right now the street from my parents house. I went to check it out. The owner is a very nice and helpful guy. I explained what the problem was. He said its an easy fix and not very costly. He told me step by step on how to uninstall the heating element in my parents oven and then asked me to write down the model number of the oven to order the replacement for it. For someone like myself that knows nothing about ovens he made it simple for me and I learned something new that I never knew how to do. He only charged me the price of the part. I must have called him 4 – 6 times in between to make sure I was doing everything right. He was very patient and helpful through the whole process. I re-​installed the new part and turn on the oven and the oven works like new! He also gave me some oven cleaning tips. One being never to use the self-​clean on the oven since it will cut the life of your oven. He said use soap, water and window paint razor tool for the tough stains. I personally used Easy Off Oven Cleaner. I bought it at Home Depot. This stuff is amazing and works like a charm just make sure you use soap and water afterwards to clean it all off since it is chemical base.
I highly recommend their services to anyone that has issues with their appliances. The shop has tons of used and repaired appliances that are for sale. I haven’t personally bought one from them as of yet. But they will be the first I go to when I do.

My washer broke down and I called a hand full of places looking for a repair man to come out and take a look at it for me. They’ve been in business for a long time and when you use them you can see why.

Mr Staten & his Deliver Man were fair to me, I’m DISABLE /​BRAIN DISORDER Staten’s Appliances, is the place to go to if you want a fair deal.
The owner is one of a kind… I am disable /​brain disorder, so I get mixed up sometimes. Mr Staten and his «Deliver Man» when he came out with my machine and saw that my problem could be FIXED… instead of just selling me the machine he brought out!!! That is what they did. and saved me money because he knew I was disable with brain disorder. GOD Bless «Mr Staten» & «Delivery Man». You should BUY from Mr Staten

Staten’s Appliances have been around for a long time serving local residents. This appliance shop located just off the Main Street in Garland is known by all the long time residents.
Harold, the owner, is a down to earth man. He has one of his sons working along with him and a couple of other men. Though you’ll see appliances lined up side by side outside, you are going to find fair prices and lots of help with your appliance questions. He makes «house calls’ or you can bring your appliance in. You’ll find kitchen appliances, window unit air conditioners, gas heaters and a couple of other appliances.
If you’re looking for friendly, accurate service, this may be the place for you.
You won’t find pretentious people or overpriced appliances here.
