Just a quick update for potential customers. In response to John’s answer to the billing issue below, I messaged him back:

This should speak volumes about the character and professionalism of this company.
I always pay my bills, and pay them on time. But I seriously debated whether I should even pay my final bill with this joker. After all, I’d had to call them about 15 times, and email quite a few as well, just to get them to mow. I’d even informed them in writing that I was disputing it, and would not be paying it. But I am a better person than that, so I finally sent in the final payment last week.
I also printed out the Unilocal reviews, with a note pointing out that they have a one-​star rating, and with so many consistent reviews about the service, there’s OBVIOUSLY a trend.
To my surprise, I received an envelope back from them. (lol this jerk had to get the last word in, AND had to pay postage for it) In it was a statement showing my payment was late (duh), the Unilocal reviews I’d sent, plus a couple handwritten notes.
1^st handwritten note: «Pay your bills on time you might get better service!»
After I’ve fired him and stated every reason why, and shown him proof that I’m not the only one that has these complaints, he blames me for a late payment as being reason for horrible service? The only «late» payment I ever made was AFTER firing him for the horrible service and lack of communication. For him to claim that as an excuse as to why he failed to mow as agreed is asinine.
He then circled a couple of the reviews on the printout I’d sent and claimed they are «Not a Customer!». Granted the person with the Unilocal account may not be the actual customer in his records, but I seriously doubt they are fake reviews. Sometimes other people live in the household, and they can post a review just as well as the person writing the check. (I do see they’ve moved at least one of them to the «not recommended» page. I think that’s unfair — while they may only have one or two reviews on Unilocal,they are consistent with all the other reviews. I find it hard to believe they are not genuine.)
And finally, the 2^nd handwritten note: «I have over 1000 customer. Becareful of false statement! You could be in court! John W. Polito [signature] P. S. Two customers of 6÷12÷14 are false customer! I have ask Unilocal to flag the reviews!»
(All spelling and grammar are 100% Mr. John Polito’s.)
I should «becareful false statement» because I «could be in court»?? Everything I have said is 100% true. I have phone records and emails to back up every single thing I’ve stated.
SO bottom line with this joke of a company: You *might* get your lawn done, but you probably won’t — and even if you do, you’ll have to beg and plea, write letters, make phone calls, send emails, and maybe even a few flares just to get it done. Then on top of that, you’ll get rude, snarky, unprofessional responses. Trust me, it’s not worth the time, money, and frustration to deal with this guy.
EDIT: I see there is a first-​time reviewer claiming a 5 star experience, and touting that they have an A+ rating with the BBB. I just checked the BBB website, and while it does say that, it also says (this is a direct quote from their site):
«In response to many complaints filed through the BBB, the company has filed suit or threatened to sue the complainants. Although the company has the right to sue, doing so eliminates the possibility of any resolution through the BBB’s self regulatory mechanisms. The Bureau urges caution in dealing with any company that resorts to suing its customers, rather than attempting to resolve the dispute amicably through the BBB. — See more at:

Additionally, they are *not* BBB accredited.
EDIT 2: I’m not able to respond to Mr. Polito’s lies in his response below about not paying my bill, so I’m editing this updated review. As stated above, there was only one time that happened, and it was after firing him.
Including emails I sent — while obviously selectively chosen, and edited — only prove my point. We went weeks without lawn service, and had absolutely no communication from him as to when they would be out, or even why they weren’t coming on time. First the excuse was that we had chosen biweekly service — which was true in the beginning, but then we switched to weekly. He even confirmed it on the phone. Then suddenly, after not showing up, not calling, and not emailing, he reverted back to the «you signed up for bi weekly service» song and dance. If they ever thought my payments were late, they never once communicated anything to me about it — until after they’d been fired.
He can believe whatever he wants about his business, but the customer reviews here on Unilocal are consistent in their for all the same reasons.
Mr. Polito, my complaint after firing you was never about the yard — it was about the terrible customer service you provide, and the complete lack of communication when you failed to show up as agreed.

Greener Image broke our sprinkler heads and refused to pay to have them fixed. We ended up having to get them fixed ourselves.

This was by FAR the worst experience I have ever had. First, we called them to do a standard leaf pick up/​mow and they simply mowed over everything and left small pieces of leaves everywhere which made it look even worse! Keep in mind, this was supposed to be for $ 80 when we first made the deal over the phone. We called to complain and they FINALLY came back 3 days later to «Finish the job»… My wife eventually called to make payment of the original agreed upon $ 80 and they said it was now $ 120. Why was it now $ 120? Anyways he started cussing her out calling her a M*^%#r f*^%er for not paying and they agreed on $ 100. This would have not happened had that been me on the other line…
