Bleachers Sports Grill

I went there last weekend, I was paying with cash for the most of the night (always tipping) and when I decided to use my card to pay for a pitcher of beer and some shots, the total was $ 20.34 so I tipped $ 3.00, so I wrote the total as $ 23.34. The next day I check my bank statement and they charged my card $ 28.34. THE WAITRESS DOCTORED MY TOTAL. I’m upset, because this was my first time going to this bar and I loved it until the next day. Very untrustworthy so BE CAREFUL.

We love this bar. the staff treats everyone like family. Sarah is the Best. deep menu and really good food. price is right too. Great place to watch the games. they are very accommodating with the many TV’s

The service is consistently poor. Very smokey, as smoking inside is allowed. The jukebox is silent unless you put money in, so there are many times when there is no music. There are dart boards bu no darts. On the plus side, the jalepeno poppers with cheese are good and they serve ziegenbock.

I’ve lived in the area for most of my life,.and sadly I’ve never been here except for tonight. I had read the reviews of this place multiple times and I liked what I saw.
So when my friend called me and asked to go out to a place where we haven’t gone in the DFW are I suggested this place.
All I can say is WOW! I knew it was a dive bar and personally LOVE dive bars.
So me and my friends walk in, the bartender is especially nice we are allowed to play whatever we want on the juke box.
So I find out that my friends have to go pick up their kids for school in the morning (it’s Tuesday by the way) so I’m left here by myself. Usually when I’m left at a bar by myself I sit alone until I leave. Not this time! every single person in here was kind and hospitable and made me feel at home!
This is my experience here, and I love it! Jessica is the bartender and she is the nicest person ever! Could never ask for a better bartender and I’ve been a lot of places in the DFW.
I also ordered some food from here because I hadn’t eaten all day due to a busy schedule. I ordered the triple sampler thing and got the southwest spring rolls Buffalo chicken balls and the mozzarella sticks. BY FAR THE BEST MOZZERELLA STICKS I’VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!
If you want someplace to go ANY day of the week? BLEACHERS is the place to be. HANDS DOWN! I love this place!
And seriously, ask for Jessica!

I have been dropping in this neighborhood dive bar off and on for years, and it has some positive attributes and good people.
The last couple of visits, however… my GAWD, the whole place smells like you would imagine an open sewer in Calcutta! Apparently the johns, at least the men’s, haven’t seen Lysol in much too long, and the odor walking in the door is overwhelming.

Nice quiet place. They do have karaōke on Wednesday and Saturday. But a good place to hang out. The crowd is a little bit on the older side. I love the bartenders, Jessica and Rusty, they are the only reason I go there. They are the best!

I love their food… Very good, well seasoned… I would be there once a week, had to quit going due to the smoke! I enjoy the music, karaōke night… But cannot, will not tolerate the smoke. We would go, play games, eat/​drink then come home throw all our clothes in the washer and take a shower.

This is great place located next to a low-​volume shopping center so there’s always plenty of parking, which is good because the parking in front of the grill fills up fast. Great burgers, Fries and a variety of other stuff but who needs other stuff. The service is quick and efficient, the food is great and fast. I like it for a quick luncheon spot, where you can actually enjoy a seated meal without lots of background noise other than multiple TVs with your favorite sports, and you can be in and out in under an hour. The prices are reasonable and lower than many of the fast food options but without the racket, screaming kids, dirty tables, routine junk food and «Next». They even have a few fresh newspapers daily in case you can’t get enough from the nyriad TV’s. They also have music, pool tables, dart boards, Video Poker Games, etc. Fun!

I can’t say much about the place after 6 as I have only been a few times after that. It’s a classic blue collar bar. I stop in for a drink or two after work and such. The food is pretty good. The day manager/​bartender, Bridgette, is the saving grace. After one visit and not visiting every day she had my drink order memorized and makes sure you’re taken care of. As many said earlier it’s mostly an older crowd so you don’t have to worry about anyone getting rowdy. To sum it up great service, great prices as good food.

This is a favorite place to go. Live right behind it (as do a few of the regulars), so it’s very convenient. It’s a chill place to go. I’ve eaten there multiple times. More choices on the menu than most bars. The food is good. The staff is great too. If you are trying to find a young crowd, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to kickback n have some good drinks, this is the place.

I’ve only visited this place once, and when I did I was wondering when the host from BAR RESCUE was going to walk through the door! This is a dive bar pure and simple, and if you’re expecting anything more than that than you’re in for a let down!
When you walk in you’re notice that one pool table is on the left hand side, some games in the far back across from the rest rooms, and a huge bar area and of course some tables up front. The beer is cheap and you can get nice and drunk without breaking your wallet. I didn’t experience any rude customers or service, actually the waitress was the saving grace of the night! It was a Friday night and she was the only waitress on staff and she frequently apologized for the delay in our drink orders, smiled, and showcased above excellent customer service skills!
My friends and I were kind of worried that we had walked into a «red neck bar» at first but quickly learned that Bleachers is a blue-​collar workers haven and attracted an older set of characters, and only a few younger people populated the place! It did feel somewhat racially divided with the lone group of black girls sectioned off in the pool area and no one was talking or interacting with them.
I didn’t try the food, due to a few bad experiences at other dive bars. so I can’t rate that!
Would I go back? For the friendly waitress and cheap beer! If you’re expecting anything else… Nah!
If you’re single and going looking to meet folks-​Nah!
If you and your friends are broke and want a quick drink. give it a shot! Garland doesn’t offer many other choices!

This bar is drama central! The staff is good. The owner is not.
I’m here twice a week and the amount of crazy that goes on at this place could fill an entire ward at the looney bin. In fact, every once in a while, you can even catch one being thrown into a one for doing something stupid… like making a big stink about wanting to commit suicide. True story.
There is one particular «nuisance» (for lack of a better, non-​offensive word) that continually causes a scene, yelling and picking fights with someone new all the time. The owner refuses to do anything about it besides giving a slap on the wrist. Multiple regulars have complained, but he doesn’t care.
The food here is pretty good (except the regular, non-​specialty burgers)…but they changed the menu and now my favorite dish is no longer available. The new street tacos are great, but tiny.
Live music on Fridays, karaōke on Wednesday and Saturday.
They just got some new tables put in. They look nice, but that’s about it. They’re heavy, the tops are grooved, and the bases are way too wide. Chairs can’t be pushed in all the way because of the wide base, which make navigating the bar difficult even when it’s empty. When it’s packed, forget it. There are more tables than room.
Honestly, the only reason I keep going back here is because of my friends… and I get hungry. I wouldn’t shed a tear if the place got sucked into a vortex.
It needs a new owner and stricter no-​stupid policies.

Hmmm… not sure what I was thinking when I decided to eat at Bleachers. Smokey, cramped, and very loud. Yes, I should have expected this, but I was hungry and it was close by. I’m guessing this place used to be a fun hang out for 20 – 30 somethings but now it is mostly middle aged men and small groups playing cards.
The burgers were ok (frozen patty, but nicely done with bun crisped on the flat top), fries were good, beers were the usual selection at a dive. The cocktail waitress was obviously overwhelmed but was pretty nice considering how other customers were heckling her.
I probably will not return.

As everyone else has said, this place is a dive bar. We were hungry late on a Sunday night and it was close to 10pm. We went to three different local restaurants and they were all closed or in the process of closing. So we thought, Bleachers! What a great idea, they should definitely be open. So we go and of course they are open. So we pull up and walk in and the music stops and everyone turned to stare at us. At least that’s what I think the wife was thinking. Everyone was playing cards as if a tournament was going on. I guess the wife doesn’t go to dive bars that often so she didn’t know what to expect.
Nevertheless, I walk up to the bar as normal as any place and sit down and the bartender takes a couple minutes to notice us but once she does she asks us what we want. I ask for a menu and she says, «oh. I’m sorry, the kitchen closes at 10.» It’s like 10:05.
So we turn around and go out looking for somewhere else to eat. Too bad, we would have loved to give you a try, but no luck. =o/

Textbook definition of a dive bar, but great drinks! Lol

Wow, I lived down the street from Bleacher’s for most of my life and never thought about stepping foot into this place. I totally agree with Mary S. about this place reminding me of Moe’s Tavern on The Simpsons. Smokey on the inside, random juke boxes, a few tables, and bar full of middle aged dudes — at 2:30 pm on a weekday. I’m not sure how game day is at this joint but I’m sure it could be decent. The drinks are cheap but I would avoid the appetizers, very expensive and not fulfilling. Bleacher’s isn’t very high up on my list of bars but maybe I’ll change my mind when I’m 42 and need a place to hangout during the week.

Yeah, Bleachers definitely fits the «dive bar» category. But we’ve been going here at least once a week for the past 5 years because it’s the best neighborhood bar we’ve found.
First, the food is way better than one might expect from a bar. The salsa is tasty and VERY spicy! The homemade pizzas are really good (thin crust with plentiful cheese & toppings). And don’t overlook the huge omelettes or the blackened catfish!
As far as the drinks go, the prices are about average. But they’re not stingy with their pours: Rusty’s a great bartender. The service on the floor is usually above-​average; as soon as your drink is finished, your waitress is ready with another if you’re up for it. Many places we’ve been to, you have to even FIND your waitress in order to flag them down for service. That’s not a problem here.
The bar’s atmosphere is sports-​related, and there are huge TVs in every corner of the room. Plus, they’ve recently added several flat-​screen LCDs along the walls to accomodate a Buzztime on-​screen trivia system. Fun stuff!
There’s a great karaōke show on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Glenn, the KJ, is entertaining and fair. He never plays favorites on the rotation and everybody gets a turn at the fun.
Last, and perhaps most important, the people who frequent Bleachers are a great bunch. It just feels like family. Or rather, like the bunch on the TV show Cheers.
The only downside: it’s VERY smoky in there. The ventilation is not the best and there are a LOT of smokers. If you can’t deal with second-​hand smoke, this place is not for you. Other than that, it’s a great place to spend a few hours making friends!

Essentially Bleachers is just an oversize dive bar. The place is hugely popular in the area though. In the eight years I’ve been here I’ve had countless friends and coworkers suggest this place, and I have been on several occasions. Lots of sports memorabilia and neon beer signs throughout for atmosphere. They have karaōke on some nights, which can be an entertaining spectator sport. Nothing special drink wise, run of the mill cocktails and plenty of flavorless American mass produced beer. The first time I went there some guy was passed out at the bar, and it made me think of Moes Tavern on The Simpsons. They have gotten better at checking ID’s here though I don’t know if that is by choice or force. I know firsthand that they used to turn a blind eye to kids with fake ID’s. Bleachers is not terrible, but it’s nothing special either.

can’t believe no one was reviewed bleachers. this is a really good place to hang out with a group of friends and have a beer. the food is pretty good. nothing to jump around about. great atmosphere. its all good.
