Happen to work neaby today and bought a lunch combo. Ate a bite of the salad and noticed that the beet salad had bacterial growth all over GROSS! but since it was my first time eating Polish food I asked them if it was«normal» and they said it’s not… and said the fridge may have stopped working and gave me a «fresh» cucumber salad. So yes, BEWARE!!! Lost my appetite! PUKE!!!

This is a great place for authentic Polish food. The prices are not bad. It’s been awhile since I was last there, but I’m sure it hasn’t changed ask that much. Try the soups while you’re there…

Small, humble Polish take out place – no place to eat-in that I could see. No off street parking that I noticed. So, I try to go there at non-peak times. Through Unilocal,I have been exploring local Polish eateries in the Garfield area. This place is a gem! I go here to buy their ready prepared hot lunches/dinners. So far, I have tried the Stuffed Cabbage and the Pork Ribs with Onions – these were both excellent! I’ve recently gone gluten free for my health, but I look forward to try all the items I can eat from their menu. Check out their website to find out what they are serving for lunch. Also, their Kielbasa and other Polish preserved meats are very good. They also have a various assortment of Polish groceries like sauerkraut in glass jars, canned food, etc. I had no problems ordering my food in English; but in the future if I do, I’ll just point. Service I’ve experienced was attentive and friendly. Happy eating.

A friend told me about this deli, and I am ecstatic. I was only there for 10 minutes but they appear to sell Eastern European groceries, all different types of meat(butcher & deli) and they have a large hot food bar. I work pretty close, and I can swing by on my commute home. $ 19 got me: A mushroom soup which was out of this world(and totally suitable as a lunch on its own) A side salad with my soup 2 humongous stuffed cabbage(phenom) 2 humongous meatballs in mushroom gravy(think swedish-ish) 4 potato dumplings… not pierogies, and maybe more delicious too 1 bag of frozen pierogies My husband and I had a Polish feast for dinner, and the soup/salad was a more than generous lunch size. I can’t wait to go back and try more yummy stuff!

Want to take a trip to Warsaw or Krakow but cant afford the flight? Go the Golden Eagle! English not required. It feels as though you’re in another country. reasonable prices too! My Mother found out about this place when the guy in front of her at the post office was mailing kielbasy to a friend. I ordered a Kielbasy sandwich and it was the best ive ever had. sliced thin on a deli slicer and put on polish rye. i cant wait to go back for the hot food. only disadvantage is there is no place to sit. but its worth it to take stuff home.
