One of the best, if not the best hardware store for garden supplies of all kinds. Great prices and specialty items galore. One of the last of the unique hardware stores where you can find items that the big boxes just don’t carry. Pruning knives from Japan are amazing.

Ultimately, they didn’t have what I needed, but at least 2 people asked me if we needed help finding anything. It looks like a nice family owned business. I hope it continues to do well.

This is a great mom and pop nursery and if they don’t have it I’ll tell you where to get it and I love the fact that they take care of their customers and I’ve been shopping here for a number of years and always found them to be professional and know more about nursery and gardening than most places if you’re looking for a nursery this is the place to go

My dad’s been a regular here for many many years. It’s a small mom and pop’s garden supply shop that carries just about everything you need to tend to your personal yard. Some prices are a bit higher, as they probably can’t compete with the major garden/hardware shops that buy in bulk and has several chain stores. They sell quality products and hard to find specialty items here, geared towards the botanical advocates. This is where my dad goes to for his gardening tools and supplies for his private business and where I gather some plant vits for emergency revivals. I’ve been in here a few times and noticed how neat and organized they keep their products. The staff members are very knowledgeable, friendly, and even funny. My dad pulled a «I’m short a few bucks» on me and they called him out on it. =P I love my dad! We stopped by the other day and noticed they’re selling Cymbidium Orchids from Hartfield Nursery this Saturday, March 8th from 10am to 1pm. Other dates are posted in case you can’t make it. They also providing potting demos during select times and dates for only $ 5! Yamada Co has a small parking lot of a few parking spots. Your best bet is finding parking on the street, which there are plenty open spots. It’s a small shop so it’s probably best to call in to find out if they carry a particular item you’re looking for.

I usually come here for all of my Orchid needs. They have all gardening supplies that you would ever need. Everyone who works here is very professional and knowledgeable. I drive from Orange County to shop here because of their fair prices and quality goods. My aunt shops here as well, and she’s the one who told me about this wonderful place. Service can be slow at times but are people who garden ever in a hurry? They really know how to stop and smell the flowers.

Very helpful mom and pop shop. I do purchasing and this place makes my job easier when trying to find odd equipment parts for some of the machinery at my site. I don’t often use them but the few times I have they’ve been great at getting me what I need.

We have been going to Yamada’s for over 20 years. They have an excellent selection of supplies and power equipment for both the professional and hobbyist gardener. We buy all of our equipment there because their service department knows how to take care of the products they sell. if you have to special order a part, they will call you as soon as it comes in.

Here I am in Gardena again, this time for some genuine Japanese garden tools. I wanted a sickle; don’t know what for, I just wanted one. I had also purchased a couple of dowel sticks for my woodworking project. Now, why would a garden supply store would stock such items? I stopped and thought about it. Maybe, it’s to tie the vegetable stalk to grow straight, who knows. Got what I wanted; so, it’s time to rock and roll!

I was looking for activated charcoal for my veggie garden and Armstrong Gardening center recommended I look here for it. This place has a lot of gardening supplies and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I even learned what the charcoal does.
