Investment department are so stupid pleased do not put money investment I has stupid idea with Mr Takeshi Mark Yamaha, AND aiko Oshima everything works without brain very stupidity bank should fight them.

Friendly staff here and doesn’t have the one person at a time doors. Only problem I have with this branch is that there’s always a line that doesn’t move. There could be 4 people in line and I’m still stuck there for 30mins waiting to get served. Other than that, the service they offer somewhat makes up for the wait time.

The nicest people work at this branch. They’re very helpful and knowledgeable about investment banking. I have been doing my banking here for years.

I have been banking with UBOC since 1990ish… well yesterday was the final straw for this branch.
Your Customer Service sucks big time! The security guards in the parking lot and lobby are friendly than your banking tellers.
Went in yesterday to make a deposit and get some cash back… was told they would have to order the cash… WTF. Are you kidding me? After the chubby chick (yeap I called her chubby, Im chubby myself) that was assisting me called over another teller that informed me they would have to order it… ha ha. Yeah right give me the freakin check back. I went to my credit union the next day made my deposit and got my damn money in less than five minutes.

Here with a friend for his account. They give pretty good customer service and seem to have reasonable policies.

Every time I enter Union Bank my stomach gets all knotted up. It seems like there is always some problem, or major static from the staff about something that ought to not even be a problem. I’ve even had problems making deposits! The tellers are mostly nice enough, but their management really sucks. Very customer hostile. Although I’ve banked with Union Bank for close to 20 years, I’m just completely done with them now and I am moving all my accounts a happier place — the Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union. Should have made that move a long time ago.
Recently, I tried to do something simple– swap in a new club treasurer onto the Union Bank club checking account and turn on web banking. At that time I also noticed that the club account had not been set up correctly as a non-​profit organization, so it was being charged monthly fees. (Union Bank now charges $ 9-​$ 11 for a mailed paper statement, and $ 8 for online statment. Crazy)
After 4 trips to the bank it was still not fixed and they hadn’t even turned on web banking as requested. The last straw was the cold, evil nasty woman Sono Nozowa who refused to help me even before she had heard what I needed. I was polite and pleasant, and she practically kicked me out of the bank. She looks mean, and she is. I got the feeling that it wouldn’t have mattered much what I needed help with, she just didn’t like me. I was so surprised at her mean treatment, that I tried to give her a 2^nd chance to be nice and helpful, but she did not want it. I said that if this non-​profit account can’t be correctly categorized (we have the right paperwork from the state, and are similar to another Club that has a free acct at UB), then I would move it to another institution, and if I did that, my own business & personal banking would follow. She really didn’t care and said so. And that was the end of the relationship. It was a long time coming, I have been mistreated there many times. I have dealt with a couple of nice people at UB, but they were not empowered to do anything. Useless. Union Bank Sucks!
On the other hand, the folks at Northrop Grumman Federal Credit Union (190^th & Vermont) are amazing and great to work with. No fees, checking accounts pay interest, free web banking, free atm usage, lower interest on loans, everything is possible, everything is ok, and the best part– they are nice. Big shout out to the NGFCU for that. There is always some special deal going so most people can join, even if you don’t work for the right company. No problem.

I’ve been a UBOC client for years now, my parents opened an account for me when I was a kid and I’ve grown up banking here.
This location is a rather large one, with more than ten client service windows. I’ve had bad experiences and good experiences at this branch, most of the time having to do with customer service. However through it all, I’ve remained a client because of the ease of online-​banking. When I moved away to college, I parents loved the fact that they could go to their local bank and deposit money into my account without hassle.
This branch has a large parking lot, which makes parking a breeze. Also they have a drive-​thru customer service window, so you don’t have to leave your car to do a banking transaction. Plus there are two ATM’s outside, one is a drive-​thru and the other is a walk up, on the side of the building.

When the Mitsubishi Bank near by (located on the east side of Carrow’s in Gardena) went kaput and closed its doors 25 years ago, by default my account got transferred here to UBOC. I’ve been with them ever since even though I didn’t live in Gardena at the time.
The service is fantastic and they make very little mistakes.
The down side is their CD yield is not competitive and loans have higher percentage than other banks (kind of like middle of the pack actually).
So, for checking accounts I’m very happy here. For investments I go elsewhere.
And, and, best of all, very little or no waiting to use the ATM machines (Worth the weight in gold to me). This particular location is super convenient to me as it’s close to the J-​Video and Pacific Marukai.
