TG’s Performance Engine Shop

Took a jet ski block to get bored out. They did quality work and kept me in the loop. They showed me the shop and walked me through the process of what they were going to do. I did not tell them I grew up in a machine shop and they did not BS me as one would expect from the average guy.
They took the time to warn me about boring without a piston kit in hand (with specs). So I bought the kits and dropped them off. Thanks for reminding me to do it right the first time guys. My rush to get back on the water before the 4^th July weekend could have bitten me. Got back a quality block and milled heads.
I burned my first five gallons and will let you know how the compression test goes.
They took care of me and went beyond my expectations. I paid exactly what they quoted.

I’ve been doing business with this shop for approximately 3 years now I’ve tried numerous shops and I’ve come to find that this shop is very fair and price does quality work and give you many options on what you want to do they don’t tell you what you should do they give you the option that way you know what you’re up against right off the bat they just finished up my roll bar inside my 69 camaro which they’ve done my front in my whole NOS motor rear end tranny this thing is a beast and I love it.

Ive done business with these guys for about 5 years now Tony, Ton, Greg, and Alex are great, and there work is nothing but the best. It’s the only shop who have touched my 68 camaro for high performance work and going back to get my nitrous done, I’ve also recommended couple of my buddy’s here it’s nothing but satisfaction… Great guys totally recommend this shop !!!

I took my 1968 nova there cause the gas tank was leaking, I ended up having them change my gas tank to a fuel cell because i was doing a mini tub in the future and change all my fuel lines and tune the carb. My car went in as a slug and came out of TGs ripping the asphalt out of the street

5– negitive if it was possible.
I work for a dealership a few miles away. since we had a few job (mechine) done with them. Every shop is not perfect and there would be some screw ups but i never thought it would happen to me where, i have the onwer (tony) and Alex giving me some much of a hard time!!! i paid for them to pressure test, vacuum test and resurface my subaru heads. Got the heads back, took it to work. Just had a weird feeling about and thought i would check the head valves. i did a fluid test and found all valve on the exhaust on one head leaking and not holding pressure, so i did the other head and found all intake vavles leaking. took it back and ask how did they do the work and the spec which they couldnt expain but giving me the round about, how they check and it passed. i would never recommend this shop to anyone!!!

They did an ok job but they reel you in by saying a normal price at first but when it’s comes time to pay they add on a bunch of stuff (most of which is unnecessary). Overall go there if you are NOT on a budget!!!

Took my muscle car to these guys both to the old and new shops. Tony the owner seems like a nice guy at first but changes his tune to an «I know more than you attitude» when you are not happy with the work. I have been to these guys a few times for machine work then actually took my car there to do some custom work. They said they did certain things to my car that I requested but they did not do the work.
I know this why? Because one item particularly that was supposed to be taken out to be reworked never was because I marked the bolts before I dropped it off and the bolts were not even moved. I didn’t say anything to them because it’s not worth it. Tony will insist you’re crazy and will not budge on making things right. (This is just one example) I have a few others but too much to list.
I have two other friends that I referred to this place and they both had terrible experiences as well. They spent a lot of money on motors built by these guys only to have major mechanical issues and lack of horsepower TG’s said the motors would have but they did not.
Overall these guys are rude and do not stick by their work. Also, like all the other negative reviews say DO NOT GO THERE!!! There are a lot of other good shops in the area with better reputations and more courteous and professional people.

James A. was spot on about this place. They quoted me one thing and a week later demanded more money and told me he «forgot to charge for this and that»
Alex was a very mean person to talk to over the phone. He started threatning me and starting getting all nasty once i told him i didnt need him to lecture me in life.
He had the audacity to tell me «If i ever wanted to see my block again that I better bring the cops with me for my own protection and shit was going to fan if i came alone».
Unilocalers, please avoid this place. I wouldnt even recommend this place to my worst enemy! :(

At first i thought they were a great shop. They overcharged me way over the original price. They lost my parts it was just a mess. I will NEVER do business with them again!
