Strong’s Automotive Service

I’ve been going to Strong Lee since I was a teenager. My family owned a business down the street for 27 years, before he even took over that auto shop. I’m now 34. I still go to him and send my husband to him too. My family went to him for years until everyone moved further away. He’s no nonsense and trustworthy. If you’re on a budget and he tells you you need a lot of repairs, ask him which is the most urgent and he’ll tell you. He’ll tell you which to get NOW and which, if any, can stand to wait a few weeks, etc. You can then repair things in order of urgency until you get it all done. When I took my first road trip to Vegas out in the desert in my first car, which was old, I asked him to take a look so I wouldn’t break down on the road. He could have suggested an oil change and fluids and stuff just to take my money, but he looked and was like, no you’re good, go and it’ll be fine. It was. He’s not the cheapest in town but certainly not the highest either, but just know that he’s an honest dude who’ll do it right. Why would you want the cheapest anyway? It’s your car, this is LA, our cars are like our life’s blood! Get quality service, get it done right.

I was on my way to LAX to pick up my mom and started hearing noises coming from the hood of my car! I don’t know what happened, but luckily I made it to Strong and MAN, DID HE HOOK IT UP.
I don’t even know what the issue was but I knew it was bad! He said it wouldn’t take too long and that it wouldn’t cost too much!
He’s so thorough with what he does and takes the time to make sure nothing goes wrong with your car again! This guy was so chill! Was telling me how he knew what it was like, financially, when he was my age! Hahaha! All in all, took only about 30 minutes and I was ready to go!
Paid the man and took off to go pick up my oh, so angry mother.
Best part: the dude is Korean! HAHAHA! Of all the shops I could’ve stopped by at, I stopped at one who’s the same race as I was!

I must say I was a little hesitant to go to Strong. Although once arriving there, I met Strong himself who was very helpful and knew my Volkswagen needs. Furthermore, my 80k service cost me $ 250 less than the dealership. And Strong did a better job! Go and see him.

Needed to get a quick oil change that was WAY overdue. Decided to stop by at the recomendation of some family members. Quick and easy. Only $ 25 plus waste fees which came out to $ 30. Cheaper and better than Jiffy Lube and eliminates the risk of getting ripped off by the EZ Lube mafia. Yes they do auto repairs and smog checks. If you’re in Gardena or just happened to be passing by and need vehicle maintenance, this is THE place to be.
