Real Soda In Real Bottles

Wow. What can i say? This place is the pinnacle of awesome when it comes to drinks in containers. Sodas and drinks ranging from gourmet flavors to down right weird. They have to have the best selection of sodas in all of California for sure as far as I know.
Parking is a little weird, its on the street in an industrial area of Gardena. I was able to park right in front of their huge warehouse as they have no customer lot. When you walk into their front office/​reception area just ask to see the showroom and they’ll guide you to the glorious rows of sugary goodness. They even have shopping carts cause you know you’re going make a haul once you see the sheer amount of drinks they have on display. They carry the good stuff like Fentimans Cola & Bundaberg Ginger Beer (my favorites). If it exists you will usually be able to find it here. Check out their website for huge list of what they carry:
The prices, just like the drinks are amazing much better than what you would find at a specialty grocery store. Most bottles are around 70 — 90 cents while large bottles may be around a dollar or more. The prices aren’t clearly listed next to the tags but I wouldn’t worry too much as i got nearly 20 bottles and only paid around 15 bucks! I was super surprised and was temped to go back and hoard some more bottles. This place is definitely my go to place for specialty soft drinks!

I wish there was a way to TAKE away stars or give negative stars because I just had the worst experience with Real Soda. I placed my order over the Phone Last Week. Then over the weekend I started to get Low on my sodas. So I call them up on Monday and they say «ok let me place your order» with No Explanation whatsoever. So I place my usual order. And then the next day I still don’t get my product so I call back and they tell me that «someone put your order on Will Call and you didn’t pick it up». Are you kidding me? I placed my «usual» order which is delivery. So they change it to delivery and say it’ll be delivered yesterday. I call them today to tell them I still have not received my order and they tell me it’s on the truck and since I close my restaurant at 10pm the driver has that window to make the delivery. They even give me the drivers number which I call several times with no answer. It’s closing time and I still have not received my order. This seems like people are just passing the buck. I might as well have gone with Coke or Pepsi. At least they would have a more reliable delivery system. I’m hoping they’ll read this and get their act together because it’s a small industry and I’ll tell as many people as I can about this experience.

Super fun for all your beverage needs that you cannot find anywhere else. Large selection and friendly staff.

As others have said… this place is amazing. They’re actually a warehouse that has a small retail shop. Closest place I can compare it to is Galcos Old World Grocery in Highland Park. Let’s just say I’ve been to both and this place is much, much more cheaper (most bottles are under $ 1.25). They do have different selection of drinks (Real Soda is west coast distributor for Maine Root and others so you can only really get it from them) but overall, I felt I could get my fix from these guys.

I was so excited to come check this place out. I had so much fun walking down every aisle. Prices are reasonable too. I brought home a 6 pack of different flavors. Thanks for being open to the public Real Soda.

Well, they weren’t kidding. There really is soda in bottles that are real in this place.
This place is not an easily recognizable place, by the way. You will need to look very carefully and find a sticker with a bottle cap on it because the building looks like your typical «warehouse looking» building.
They have various different kinds of soda from Asia and other countries as well as many different kinds of obscure soda and even soda that have Crystal Pepsi formula in it (for those that want bragging rights that they drank Crystal Pepsi). They even have boxed water at this place; a great conversation starter! The prices are also fairly reasonable as well.
The one downfall that I have with this place is that the hours are TERRIBLE. If you have a typical 9 – 5 job with weekends off, your chances of visiting this place are «0» because they close at 4:30. Aside from that, this place is worth a visit if you manage to get a day off that isn’t on a holiday.

This place is amazing! They have beverages (soda and water) from Japan, Hawaii, Mexico, the US, and many other places.
The store is kinda small but you can find a lot of different things. Flavors range from apple, strawberry, cream, grape, orange, lemon, etc.
The staff (Andrea) was very polite. I can’t wait to go back again.

This place is a real gem! Amazing selection. Very friendly staff. You can mix & match as many singles as you wish. No complaints about prices. Sodas are arranged in flavor/​style groups & staff is more than happy to point you in the right direction. Huge root beer selection as well as many other categories & specialties.
Don’t expect to see a big sign and pretty storefront (it’s more industrial), but the store inside is perfect — the entrance faces the street & you may need to ring the buzzer. Let them know you’d like to shop at the store & they’ll walk you down the hall to the store. Grab a shopping cart & enjoy.
I’m hooked on the Blenheim Ginger Ale with the red cap. Super spicy delicious sinus cleaner! The milder version is great too with less burn, but still present.
My other winners: Tower Root Beer (I’d describe as a slightly smoother, refined IBC) & AJ Stephans Sarsaparilla.
Try one for the experience: Chocolate-​Covered Maple Smoked Bacon Soda — yes, you’ll taste every one of those flavors. It’s mind-​blowing. Very sweet. Breakfasty.

Careful, you might miss it. If you’re going eastbound on 139^th, its on your right side just past Van Ness. it is a warehouse, but if you ring the bell, they’ll buzz you in and let you walk back to browse aisles of their inventory. It’s a little warm back there, but they got machines refrigerating some of the stuff, so you can always buy something cold to beat the heat. There isn’t just soda. There’s flavored water, teas (including an austrian import hemp tea), a whole row of diet soda, and a small section categorized as «FOR MEN». I asked Rebecca (the bubbly associate) what that exactly meant, and she wasn’t specific. She said, «Its probably what you’re thinking». lol. who knew? Liquid viagra disguised as soda. We originally came for the bacon soda, but ended up buying two boxes full of various kinds. Roughly 2 bucks per bottle, give or take. They are glass, so yes, you do pay the $ 0.05 CRV. They also sell tubs of super caffeinated coffee. Ha ha, wouldn’t that be funny to add to your roomie’s coffee stash? There’s also some shirts with some of the soda they carry.
I do have an update from the last reviewer… they do accept credit cards. We used ours. Visa, Mastercard & Discover only. Sorry Amex holders, no go for you.

Similar to Blue Dog Beverages in Sacramento, Real Sodas distributes and make soft drinks. Sparkle Up, like 7up, Bubble Up, and other lemon lime drinks, it’s a throwback to soda sans cans. Name a soda you grew up with they probably carry it

This place is soda heaven. The prices are amazing too.
Their priority is directed to business clientele. Though, their shop works for the individual connoisseur. Just ring the bell outside and they will let you into the shop. Located in a warehouse area. The employees are always really welcoming.

Real sodas in real glass bottles. I found this address from a restaurant I go to with my family.
The restaurant carry some weird (but good taste with real can sugar) sodas and marked as local soda.
When I got there, the front door was locked someone buzzed me in.

Oh my there are so many kinds of sodas.
I can buy as many (or as few) as i want with credit card/cash.The price was reasonable or cheaper than Trader Joes.
I ended up buying a case with many different kinds and the lady showed me what the restaurant usually orders (from the order system) and I was able to get some of the favorites from the restaurant.

We came here mainly to buy my papa a case of Diet Bottled Sodas for Christmas. They are very hard to find in such a wide variety. I was surprised to see how many flavors they had. They even sell them in small cases and variety packs. Gotta remember that next time we go back.
Monica helped show us around, asked what we liked, and knew exactly what soda I was talking about without even knowing the name! (It was a dandelion soda btw). I let her know I liked Ginger Beers and she made great suggestions.
Both my daughter and I opened our bottles before we were through the front door of my house. They were delicious! My Unfiltered Ginger Beer was ‘slap yo mama’ good! I highly recommend them.

This place, sandwiched deep in Gardena’s warehouse district, is hard as balls to find, and if you hesitate a moment when you encounter the office’s locked door, you’re not alone. But tough it out, wait for them to buzz you in, and you’re in the club.
My boyfriend and I paid a visit to Real Soda on my last day off of work, and it couldn’t have been a cooler experience! We had an amazing time filling the little cart with sodas we had never heard of before (everything from Key Lime Cream Soda to Salty Dog root beer to TruBlood). I especially was in heaven, as a committed soda devotee.
When we went to check out, I was a little afraid of what the total would be. We had about 35 bottles on the counter, so I was seeing dollar signs. After Monica finished ringing us up, the grand total was only about 43 bucks. What a great deal!
The employees are also super pleasant. They answered all of my and my chatty bf’s questions, from «What makes a good soda?» (natural ingredients and flavorings, cane sugar doesn’t really make a big difference over corn syrup) to «How many people do you get coming in on a given day?» (an average of one or two– which explains why everyone in the place seemed a little caught off-​guard by our visit).
Moral of the story: amazing place. Great prices. Great parking. So worth the trip. It’s like soda Disneyland. I feel like they might have Willy Wonka in the back or something.

WOW, what a great find! I was in search of some Sprecher’s sodas for a friend, and after looking all over the web, found Real Soda in Real Bottles. Their website is interesting and fun, but it doesn’t do justice to how excellent their stock is, and how amazing their prices are!
They aren’t really set up to order online, but if you have a soda you want, you can call them and order it. You can do what we do, which is read through their inventory PDF and pick out soda brands we want to try. If you get over 5 cases, they might deliver if you are near another delivery. They also have a store where you can select individual sodas by the bottle, and a 50s retro soda tasting diner for rent if you are having a party. That’s on our list to-​do sometime with some friends.
If you love sugar based sodas without high fructose corn syrup, this is the place for you. They’re really friendly and all they are needing is some website guru to help them make their website easier to order from.

One day I was perusing Google Maps on my cellphone. Looking at stuff in my neighborhood when my finger came across an icon for a business that said «Real Soda in Real Bottles»…*tire screech*! Say word?! To your mutha!
What made me all the more giddy was the fact that this place is less than a mile from my house. I could walk there! Hallelujah Jones!
Now let me preface by saying I am not a dedicated soda drinker. Water and tea are my beverages of choice, but how could you pass up handcrafted soda made with pure cane sugar. Soda just tastes a whole lot better with it versus the high fructose corn syrup.
Naturally I went on their website and e-​mailed them for the hours the day prior! A nice guy named Danny wrote me back to ensure me they would be open for good Friday and to speak to Monica when we got there.
The building is situated in an area where a lot of businesses are so until I saw the big red circular sign in the window, I wasn’t sure where the building was precisely. Had ample parking on the street (not sure if would be the case on a non-​holiday, I’ll have to check back). Walked into the reception area and was greeted by Monica! Really sweet and she asked if we were here for the store and I said yes, so she directed us through the door and walk all the way down to the last door on the left.
If you’re a soda connoisseur, this would be your Holy Land. Hand crafted cane sugar laced goodness far as the eye can see. An assortment of flavors are available such as, Chocolate (yes chocolate flavored soda!), Root Beet, Watermelon, Grapefruit, Blueberry, Pomegranate and Ginger Ale to name a few. I’ve been to other stores where they sell hand crafted sodas and the cost is $ 2 – 3 dollars. One good thing about coming here is that the cost of sodas here will run you anywhere from 80 cents to a 1.20 at most. Definitely a good deal for glass bottled soda.
I bought myself a case full (holds $ 24 bottles) for myself and my nephew which should last me a few months, but I’m sure for someone who likes soda a lot they could probably go through that a lot quicker. This would also be good for parties!
While I was waiting for my sister to finish her purchases I noticed in the next room they have a replica 1950s diner. It didn’t look like it was being used for much, but hopefully in the future they will. It was really nice! Another hidden gem in the South Bay (I’m on a roll this week in finding these)!! WOW!!! You’ve heard of craft brews, now there’s craft soda!
I went to the opening of the outlet store (courtesy of the Leninade FB page) and I got to check out the awesomeness that is Real Soda (made with REAL sugar and not that nasty HFCS stuff). The choices are limitless!
Many of the sodas are bottled in that factory, but they do import Coca-​Cola from the UK, Holland, and Lebanon (!) just in case you tire of the Mexican variety. (I’m looking at YOU, LA hipsterati)
It’s cheap compared to what you pay retail – Leninade at BevMo is $ 1.29/bottle, but buy direct and it’s only $.89+CRV! I can’t wait to come back here again and buy 2 cases of Leninade!
I kinda wish I had my own business, since that would give me an excuse to come here weekly :)

Their outlet store opened today at their bottling plant, and it’s a complete soda geek heaven. Glass bottle sodas line every shelf. Some they import in, while most are among the wide variety they bottle themselves.
Best of all, it’s CHEAP. While our beloved Galco’s and other shops specialize in hard-​to-​come-​by beverages, they usually charge $ 2 – 5 a (soda)pop.
Pick up most of your favorite drinks at $ 0.89 to $ 1.10 apiece.
I came up arms full expecting to pay $ 15 and my tab came out to $ 7.10 (including tax and CRV). Prices haven’t been posted yet on any of the shelves, and the lady ringing up my order was having problems since many of the sodas hadn’t been entered into the system yet (but, hey, it was their first day and patience is a virtue). After hearing how much my order came out to, I paid, left my stuff at the counter and went back for more.
I was absolutely floored by what they had, not the least of which was this German soda I’d only seen online: Not-​See Kola. They boast a selection of 1,600 different sodas.
The guy and his wife who run this place are so knowledgeable about sodas and are seriously the friendliest people. The gent was really fun to talk with about the product.
You can’t enter the store from the street, rather, you need to be buzzed in and walk through the front office like it’s a secret soda society. I knew I was in love the moment my eyes settled on the storeroom.
