Pa Kou Xiong Makeup and Hairstyling

Pa Kou did my bridal hair and makeup last week. She’s so amazing that I had to do my first Unilocal review! She is so patient, friendly, accommodating, and really listens to your requests. I booked her last year, because she was very responsive and she had good reviews online. She answered all of my questions throughout the whole planning process. I had requested a natural look yet dramatic enough for photos and she really delivered. All of my friends, family, and husband all complimented on my hair and makeup on my wedding day. I highly recommend her! Her team also did hair for my 5 bridesmaids and they all loved it!

Pa Kou does AMAZING hair! Wow! I had my wedding hair trial with her on 4÷16÷16 and she gave me everything I wanted! I was so happy with the results! Pa Kou is as good as a hair and makeup stylist can get! I booked her for my engagement shoot and was so happy with how things turned out I booked her right after for my wedding. She is super sweet, easy to work with, can do just about any hair style on the fly, and very dedicated to her artistry. During my makeup trial, she kept checking in with me to see if I liked how things were going and even took photos and notes to remember what I liked and didn’t like. On the day of the wedding, she worked tirelessly to get the whole bridal party ready and didn’t take a break. She was patient with all the different people coming in and out of the room while she was working and was accommodating to the videographer when he wanted more foundation coverage for my face to hold up on his HD camera. I didn’t sleep well the night before and had bags under my eyes but somehow she made them disappear! She is absolutely amazing and I would book her again if I have another event!

I needed hair+make up artist for my special out of state bride (‘ I‘m wedding photographer)
My budget was already set and Pa Kou was very accommodating and easy to book without extra questions. It is very great to have some one very flexible from the beginning.

I notice her easy going personality and flexibility again during preparation for our Engagement session when Bride decide to change her hair from glam curls down to messy low bun. This was not planned or been discussed over Pinterest board inspiration between me and her.

Pa Kou is such an amazing person and she is by fair the best hair stylist I have been around. I found Pa online while browsing for a hair stylist for prom. I came across her page and began looking at her portfolio of all the work she has done and I instantly fell in love ! I contacted her and I got a response almost instantly. She was so professional and she was able to fit me into her schedule. After I booked her I kept in contact with her before the day of the schedule and gave her an idea of what I wanted done to my hair. I admit I was a bit skeptical about a complete stranger coming to my home but as soon as she arrived the day of prom I knew I made a great decision. She was so friendly and polite. She politely asked for a place to set up and got started. I was so happy to know that she wasn’t those quiet type of hairstylists who make the whole process awkward. She engaged in conversation with me and I felt so comfortable in being able to speak with her. After my hairdo was done I couldn’t be happier with it, it was PERFECT, I felt so beautiful and her attentiveness to what I wanted was amazing. She took into consideration my thoughts and worked amazingly with me to creating the perfect prom hair. I will honestly say that I will be booking her for future hair styling and I will definitely recommend her to other people as well. If you are looking for a hair stylist who is friendly and who gets the job done then you should definitely contact Pa ! I can’t express enough in words how amazing she was. So guys please please book her you won’t regret it I promise !

I found Pa Kou on Unilocal after looking for someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. She actually came and did my hair and makeup twice along with my mother and mother in law. Pa was the best and I’m so grateful I found her!!! She’s very professional. She emailed me an agenda before each appointment and arrived early each time. She was so accommodating during each session, listening and tweaking my hair and makeup as we went along, but staying within our scheduled time. I was so lucky Pa Kou accommodated me even with such a short notice. On the day of the event, my face was peeling and I was pressed for time. I was stressing out that she might not be able to work with my schedule. It was so kind of her to adjust with my situation. I love her friendliness and pleasant personality, very easy to work with!
The quality of her work is outstanding! I always have a problem picking the right shade for me since my complexion is kind of in between olive and tan. But she nailed it! It looked natural but there was enough coverage for the peeling. She did my hair and make up meticulously but was well aware that I am in a rush for the event. This girl can definitely work even under pressure. Thank you Pa Kou!

This is a late review for services she and her sister provided us on October 26, 2013.
She did my wedding make-​up and my sister’s tattoo cover up.
She did my trial make-​up a couple of days before and she was very helpful and she didn’t mind redoing my hair to a different style and she really listens when you try to tell her how you want your makeup to be done.
Come wedding day, she brought her sister (a photographer) with her just to provide with some assistance since my wedding was in the morning and we have to start really early. Her sister was also very nice and I do regret not getting her as my photographer for my wedding since my photographer was only able to cover my wedding and not the reception. They were very very helpful and friendly with everybody in my family. Pa Kou was very detailed with my hair and my makeup. She made changes as I requested and was very kind about it.
And to add to all the niceties, when we were all done and the driver was there to pick us up already, her sister picked up our camera and shot some pictures of us getting ready and dressed and getting in the limo for free. :) She did a great job too.
Both of these girls are just so nice!
Oh and by the way, her services are very affordable too with the quality of work that she does.

Pa Kou and her team are incredibly professional, skilled, and friendly. From the beginning when I had my wedding hair and make up trial, I have been very impressed with her meticulous attitude, attention to detail, and pleasant attitude. She was very upfront about the price for everything, which is very reasonable. She was extremely patient, taking a lot of photographs and helping me figure out which hairstyle I liked and which make up style worked best with my features. She was always prompt with responding to my inquiries and questions by e-​mail. For the day of, she and her team were very prompt and actually got six bridesmaids and one bride all made up and feeling beautiful well ahead of our day of timeline! (nearly unheard of according to our videographer and photographers). Despite running ahead of schedule, Pa Kou was flexible and kind enough to wait around to do the mock-​up getting ready photos when the photographers arrived. Needless to say, I highly recommend Pa Kou and her team to future brides. I’ve never felt more beautiful yet still very natural on my wedding day. All of my bridesmaids looked incredibly beautiful– they all love their hair and make up. So far, even the non-​professional photos are coming out stunning! She is extremely easy to work with and completely reliable. Many, many thanks to Pa Kou for helping my wedding day flow seamlessly and for making me feel absolutely gorgeous!

Pa Kou is a fantastic professional and human being. Very nice and extremely polite. I got married 2 years ago and the hair stylist who was going to do my hair didn’t show up!
