Nader’s Furniture Store is proud to be one of the longest running family businesses in the South Bay, California. Today, we have three furniture store locations in Gardena, Carson and Long Beach/​Signal Hill, as well as this online furniture outlet and our warehouse/​clearance center location.

History

Established in 1956.

The first Nader Furniture Store was opened by Charles A. Nader, in Gardena, California, in 1956. Charles Sr. was a great believer in family values, a tradition he passed on to his eight children and 28 grandchildren, many of whom continue to work in our family furniture business to this day.

At Nader´s, we are proud to continue Charles Sr.´s tradition of treating our customers with honesty and respect. We still believe in excellent customer service with our special, personalized, Nader´s family touch. We want you to be more than happy with the services we offer and feel confident in recommending us to your family and friends.

I have been part of my family business since 1991 when I started high school. Even when I was a little kid (9 – 10 years old), my grandfather would pay me a dollar to throw bean bags from the trucks into the store. I have always taken great pride in treating my customers with the same respect that I would like to be treated in other stores. Nader’s has been family owned and operated since 1956 and still today has 8 family members involved in the business in Gardena, Carson, and Long Beach. From all of us at Nader’s, we gratefully thank all our past customers for their support and repeat business and to all our future customers we extend the warmest of welcomes and thank you in advance for taking time to visit our website and showrooms.

I wish I could write a better review because ALL of the Sales staff I dealt with were very friendly and helpful. However when it came to dealing with the finance portion that was a different story. The woman who helped us was rude and very short when speaking with my mother and I. When my mother made a corny joke to break her obviously sour mood, the woman rolled her eyes and walked away. What makes it even worse is when I shared my experience with one of the sales staff they stated she gets a lot of complaints. So Nader’s is aware of this and still continues to let her interact with customers.

My wife and I were looking for a dining room set. As soon as we walked in DeAndre greeted us. Really cool guy and laid back unlike most sales people. My wife and I ended up buying a dining set and tv stand. Good experience talk to this guy when you come in…

Not my favorite furniture store. Have bought some furniture that I wasn’t too happy with. I bought a futon and it wasn’t built right. every time i would lay down on the edge I could fall since it had no support in the bottom so my hubby put a punching bag underneath so it wouldn’t tip over. I saw a better futon at Walmart for half the price. I don’t like their phone service and customer service of some people. I do not plan on buying any more furniture from here. Also they don’t carry everything there u have to go to the warehouse if they don’t have it and they charge for delivery. I do not recommend them. The futon was correctly assembled. The problem is that it wasn’t built with a support in the bottom.

I purchased an inexpensive vase from Nader’s for about $ 30/​$ 40. I told the sales rep it may not match my décor, but I’d like to purchase it anyway to see. I asked the manager if it would be ok for me to return it if it didn’t match. The manager told me it wouldn’t be a problem. Well, it didn’t look right with the rest of my furniture/​décor so I returned it about 3 days later. Upon arriving at the desk to make the return, I was sent to another window for returns. The lady there told me I couldn’t return it; I could only get store credit. I told but her about the previous conversation I had w/​the manager but this lady said i had been misinformed. Well, that wasn’t my fault and they should’ve honored what been told to me by their employee. Anyway, I went to the other window for assistance from the original manager tht told me I could return the vase and she said she didn’t recall having tht conversation /​me. I was livid!!! Well, an owner, I assume, overheard the conversation and allowed me to make the return. This is California. There is too much competition to put up with that. There’s a furniture store on every corner. Needless to say, I haven’t been back and won’t go back.

After speaking with Joe (who obviously handles customer service issues unlike what Maria the manager said) at naders my headboard has been replaced with no service charge or delivery fee. I was even invited to the wherehouse to check out the replacement before his nice delivery men came and dropped it off and put it together. I spoke with Briana and as always she was very professional and sweet. I hope my couch is repaired as smoothly as the bedroom furniture was.

I went here to buy a vanity desk, I saw online.
Its so cute and small. I love it.
This store is definitely Mama’s and Papa’s furniture store. They made use of their space available to them of course. There wasn’t a lot of walking space or a show room for that matter.
But there was a salesperson name Jonathan Lee.
And he made this experience great! Haha
If you are looking for a quick spin and somewhere cheap to buy what you need. Then this is the place.

Went to Nader’s and purchased a sectional. It turned out that a part of the sectional was defective and we had trouble receiving answers/​help in the beginning. After going to the store and finally speaking with Breanna all was resolved. We did end up having the sectional returned to the store which sucked because the color and style was perfect for what we wanted. But that wedge piece had my grandson and I toppled over onto the floor… no bueno. Glad it was resolved, but it tee’d the hubby off.
*****Footnote: We finally received a refund after a bit of a run around, but it still doesn’t make any sense to me that a manager never reached out to us to see if the issue could be resolved. Oh well, live and learn. On a brighter note we found a very nice sectional at JCP where the wedge does not tip over…

How often should someone buy couches? Once a year if you buy them here!!! I bought a leather sectional set at Naders and it was a waste of almost 2,500 dollars. We were sold into buying the insurance for an extra amount and for what? They make you jump through hoop after hoop for someone to even come out and look at the problem. I am just disgusted with this place. The sectional is now just trash the cushion on one of the seats never fit properly since it was the middle one it was the most noticeable. It was never long enough to look the same size as the two on each size. The zipper broke on the same cushion soon after. Really??? The handle on both the recliners literally tore off and one of the head rests literally broke off. The pleather not leather tore from every seem. I could go on and on about the cheap load of crap I wasted my money on. When I tried calling to complain about he quality I was told It was wear and tear damage. Really? After such little time of having them that is BS. The couches are so uncomfortable we never sat in them to have any wear and tear on them.
The Better Business Bureau will be hearing this. I think that this place just takes advantage of their costumers. I am going to try my best to make sure I let as many people know what Naders is about.

My parents bought some leather couches from there 2 years ago. Within a years time. The color started fading. The couch looks horrible. Went back to the store and they tried to tell us maybe it’s the oil on our skin causing the fading. We have other leather couches that we’ve had longer than those. They haven’t faded. The quality of the leather is horrible and they don’t stand behind their n products. Don’t waste your money here.

NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE! I ordered my furniture 9⁄28 and paid in full for $ 2000 worth of furniture… to this day I still don’t have the furniture. 1st the sales rep said «oh we don’t have have it here, but it’ll be here next week». Every week it was a different excuse. So now I’m tired of waiting for no furniture, I go in and get a refund and of course now they don’t give back the full warranty amount for the furniture that was never delivered. So sad to know that people are so quick to rip you off with excuses but will be quick to take a commission check. And of course now the debit back to my credit card will take up to 30 days. AND they still charged me a delivery fee for ½ of the payed for furniture. Not sure how this place has been open for business for so long. The only helpful folks in here are the receptionist.

The response I received after my Unilocal review exemplifies a business that likes to keep loyal customers. These were unfortunate and likely rare circumstances and after the owner’s response I would consider doing business here again.
I would still advise the business to post measurements or cautiously advise customers to measure all proportions… not just total area.

I have no idea why this place has only 3 stars? I went during my lunch with no intention of buying. I met with the owner himself which I did not know. I ended up buying a couch and a dining table for such an amazing price.
My fiancé eventually had to go to the store and pick another dining table, and they had no problem changing the item.
At the end of the purchase, he told me he was the owner. I was a bit shocked because he was so humble. In the end, it made sense since he clearly knew his products.
I will buy again as I support these family owned businesses!
