Great service at Hudson! If you ride a Harley, ask for Steve. He always makes sure I’m taken care of and takes the time to get the job done right. Hudson has the best prices in LA for services and are very honest and knowledgable when it comes to parts.

Gosh I miss this place. Best service prices, great dudes, and they actually ride. We used to see them up at the Snake, Rock Store, etc up in Malibu all the time. They remember your name and always hook it up. I used to bring my Honda CBR600 in there all the time. I cannot seem to find a legit shop like this in AZ. I bid you all well in your future. Cheers. Hate to do this (I don’t like giving negative reviews) but as I told Jeff, I have to. Bought a «Screaming Banshee» horn with explicit instructions to enable the horn’s on-​off feature which the manufacturer said is possible. meaning the horn flashes the lights on and off while blaring the horn (cool, imaging how visible you are at night with this feature). I repeated it several times that I wanted lights flashing on and off (not high beam low beam), and they assured me all was good. I paid and picked up the bike, but with no flashing lights. They could have said «Hey we can’t do this without additional instructions, or additional cost because XYZ, and I would have paid (this wasn’t about the money at this point). So I brought it back, and repeated «On and Off», Jeff said ok… I pick up the bike a 2^nd time… and nothing had changed (now I feel like I’m being treated like a fool). Long story short, they wanted another 2 hours which is actually reasonable to charge, only they’re not taking into account the hassle they’ve put me through given how crystal clear I had been from the beginning… they offered to comp me an hour which is at most what it would have taken… anyways I told them if they didn’t I would find another shop for all my future maintenance and would be forced to leave this feedback, which kills me but I feel it’s deserved. Anyways, I hope this helps them with future customers guys… you really did earn this one. As for me, time to find a new shop.

I’ve been to quite a few mechanics over the years and there really isn’t a better place than Hudson. Mark and Danny and their crew are always so nice and they take the best care of my bike.
If you do 165mph+ on the racetrack you better trust your mechanic.

For this time I believe I still need to share with the whole story. My wife once we’d occasionally passed by she found the place looking attractive and as she believed to trust them with her humble IceBear scooter. For that moment who could even suppose that it’ll be needed to pick up a bike out from Hudson motorcycle place no less then with a Gardena police!
Okay integrity check — it failed right from the very start, for I’ve made an appointment on Friday right before the thanksgiving for 3 days before, once I came in person Jeff Huebner he’d announced that there are no mechanics available so far… I’ve been feeling absolutely desperate because my wife’s scooter it had just done 2k miles and it was highly recommended at least to change the oil. I’ve already did it just myself and because of an oil tank’s cap it always stuck because of oil solder, so I stopped by one auto-​tire shop on a road a asked a local guy to use his pneuma hose to loosen up a damn thing. So this time I’ve returned to Mr. Huebner with request to help me out the same way which he’d refused for the first but (!!!) once I’ve mentioned a Unilocal they all poured down from the shop including the owner Mark and turned to me with much atrocity (!!!) starting yelling what exactly I am suppose to mention on this Unilocal and stuff… Finally they agreed to try to loosen up the cap and Mr. Huebner himself he did crack then damned thing :) Naturally it produced with a skinny oil pool on a ground. I’ve encountered even bitter experience then from the start yet decided to left the scooter for them to peruse and help with the spark plug’s check… I’ve mentioned that besides of all this bike it has done 2k of miles and definitely need a throughout examination and there is a something that provides a clutching sound probably a bendex kicking off a flywheel…

Afterword
The final price for their ‘help’ consisting in changing the spark plug and this pathetic oil cap become announced it was 257 bucks and after my lawyer (!!!) he advised me to call the Gardena police and in a presence of the officer Mark personally he did me a courtesy and lowered a price down to $ 178 bucks. When I asked why it still its a something clutching he retorted that it wasn’t expected for me to have a throughout examination, — you needed to repair the oil cap and check the spark plug and then you’ve got it…

Sure I’ve heard a lot about this ‘chinese’ scooter a very poor quality and a lousy metal from the Hudson’s guys :))) It was their main argument why our IceBear sucks that flat.

This place lacks honesty and integrity. I brought my bike in due to it producing low power during low rpms. Jeff, the manager recommended a major service to fix the problem ($ 758). Following completion of the major service (3 weeks later). Jeff contacted me stating that my bike was all set and ready to be picked up. Immediately when I started my bike, I noticed the issue hadn’t been addressed. I told Jeff that my bike hadn’t been fixed. Jeff stated that I should leave the bike so that they could take another look at it, keep in mind that they’d already had my bike for 3 weeks. I reluctantly agreed.
During the interim, I looked up 2000 Kawasaki ZX-​9R forums on the Internet that had similar issues. Turns out, the Jet Kit was the problem. I went to the shop the following day to talk with Jeff regarding my suggestion and before I could tell him, Jeff had concluded it was the Jet Kit as well.
I explain to Jeff how disappointed I was that I’ve already spent $ 758 and the problem wasn’t addressed and was told my bike was fixed. I told him that their needed to be some compensation regarded the Jet Kit, which cost $ 359. Jeff did nothing to compensate for his error. I picked up my bike following installation of the Jet Kit, was told it was fixed and it wasn’t. It still had low power during low RPMs! I told Jeff that my bike is still having the same issue as when I brought it in initially. Jeff then tells me and I quote, «Your bike is old and there is nothing we can do to fix the problem. You need to sell it and get a newer bike.»
By now I’m livid. I’ve spent over $ 1100, they’ve had my bike for over a month, Jeff tells me my bike is old, and it’s still NOT fixed!!! I’ve always been told that one monkey doesn’t run the show. I got a second opinion.
West Coast GP had worked on my bike previously and has always done a phenomenal job. They were a little further away, which is why I took my bike to Hudson (bad idea). Once I explained the problem to Alex at West Coast GP, he immediately addressed the issue. After inspection, they checked the jetting and found one defective float (full of gas)/carbs reassembled and the bike was running like new.
I went back to Hudson and explained how West Coast GP had hit a home run and fixed my bike.
I told Jeff I got screwed by them and wanted my money back. Jeff had the audacity to say that the problem (low power during low RPMs) is something that took place once I left their shop. Hudson is a joke. Be very wary if this place. They lack professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

This place does beautiful amazing work. I am very picky about where I take my motorcycle to. I got a full service from them. The price is a little bit high. But it’s about equal to a Yamaha dealership but their work is way worth the cost it’s amazing. It even came back clean keep you pretty well up-​to-​date and they are very nice. I will be using them for my future services. They are very honest group. They are also extremely fast. And if you want to keep your motorcycle while waiting for parts. They can take a payment over the phone so you can drop off your bike whenever the parts come in. Thanks jeff great work

TL; DR,
Wipes down your bike with something abrasive like steel wool. Disrespectful handling of bike. Another cheap bike service shop with a bunch of back yard lube techs looking for a joyride.
Skip this place if your bike’s appearance is mint.
I’ve set an appointment a week in advance for a new set of tires which they were aware I was showing at the time I came in. Hudson Motorcycles a service/​tire store which generates 95% of their revenue from services which calls for a wait has no waiting area.
One of the employees tell me they had an event which cleared out the «wait seating» and didn’t have the opportunity to set them back. Not a deal breaker since I only waited for an hour and a half for my tires to be installed. I was just perplexed as how they had no comfortable place to hang out. Maybe I’m spoiled from other service/​dealers where they have excellent accommodations.
I check in and hand over my key to my 3 month old Ducati which is getting a fresh set of Bridgestones installed and I head out with the man who took my key, he proceeds to ride my bike into the back.
It’s no biggie the employee riding the bike back because he doesn’t feel like pushing the bike in.
HE DAMN NEAR STALLS THE BIKE OUT AND, DID SOMETHING WITH THE CLUTCH WHERE IT MADE A SHRIEKING NOISE I’VE NEVER HEARD FROM MY BIKE BEFORE.
Not sure if this is normal practice at Hudson. I’ve had several previous bikes and been to numerous bike service shops and they’ve never once ridden customers bikes unless it was for a test ride.
They also have this janky chain that has a sign attached «No customers beyond this point.» That’s great they are concerned for customers’ safety but they ride your bike right into the sign/​chain rubbing up on the paint of your nose fairing/​wind screen/​headlight to reach the hook to undo it. After further inspection, I’ve got scratches all over the paint of my nose fairing.
I saw another Hudson employee do the same rub up on the chain with some other customer’s R1 while I was waiting by the entrance to the workshop.
I waited for my bike to be completed while I sitting on the pinic table next to the shop entrance. The tech who finishes my bike gets it off the lift and gets it warmed up for the test ride.
As a joke, I tell him, «have fun,» I guess he took it literally and comes back in a few minutes gushing how «fast and badass» it was riding it. It was the reaction and facial expression of a joyride. Don’t get me wrong, test riding the bike after completion of work is customary since it’s for safety and making sure everything is good, but it’s not professional ripping on customers’ bikes.
I even sprung for the chain service because Jeff the (service writer?) recommended it.
The tires were installed right and work was completed in a timely manner. Also, I paid what I was promised, without any surprises when the work order/​invoice was presented to me.
I really wanted to like Hudson Motorcycles. I wanted to love them since they’re so close to home and the prices are great. It was just one too many negatives from my experience today which would prevent me from coming back.
If you have a newer euro bike that Hudson Motorcycles don’t get in often or have an exotic bike skip on Hudson. They’ll treat your bike like any other 10+ year old multi-​dropped bike and possibly flip your bike on the way in to the service area if your bike doesn’t have traction control & wheelie control.
They’ve got great prices and if you don’t care if your bike gets scratched and you could care less if someone joyrides your bike. Beyond how they handle your bike, and lack of waiting area, this place is great.
Pretty upset my gauge display/​bike is scratched.
CHEAP SERVICE ISN’T GOOD AND GOOD SERVICE ISN’T CHEAP.

These guys are great! They were friendly and knowledgeable and had no problem w/​the age of my bike, a ’97 Suzuki Marauder (VZ800). I needed an extensive tune-​up, carb rebuild and a new tire installed. They did all the work within 2 weeks of me dropping off the bike. Took it out today for an 80 mile ride and it rode like a dream. Very happy with their service. Will be back again next time I need some work done (hopefully not for a while!)

Do NOT take ur bike here! They charge 100 to diagnosis but will charge extra to put bike back together if u don’t wanna pay for the repair. They brought my bike out TAKEN APART. And very expensive!

Met these guys at Laguna Seca! Bought the Uclear, and shoei Helmets off them for great prices, and also Perelli tires for my bike. They also have a good price on labor for the most part. Friendly service, enjoyed the hangout. Could use more seats inside though and a drinking fountain for those who have to wait…

Just picked up my Gsxr-​1000 after i fail on it and i had the left fairings replacement, fuel services, new tires, brake and clutch short ASV levers and full inspection !

I usually do all my own work on my motorcycle, but I do not have easy access to tire mounting and balancing equipment. So when its time to change tires I have to let someone else do it.
I shopped around and found an unbeatable deal on the tires I wanted and had the shipped to me. Shopped around and found Hudson to be a good deal for mounting and balancing tires. Made an appointment for 1pm brought in the new tires and bike and waited.
After 2 hours of waiting I began asking the status of my bike? After 3 hours of waiting I was told my bike was being finished. Nearly 4 hours later my bike was being road tested. Around 5pm my phone is ready to die. That seems to be an awful long time to wait for 2 tires mounted and balanced. I ask why? The answer «we wanted to get the alignment just right.»
On my ride home I felt a very small vibration on my new tires at around 40 mph. It worried me, and i would have gone back immediately had my first visit been even somewhat timely.
700 miles later and the vibration has become substantial. I will pay someone else to fix this. I guess in this case you get less than what you pay for. If Hudson did quality work at a snails pace I would be okay returning, problem is they took that long AND did not get it right. As the saying goes, ain’t nobody got time for that

I’ve had my ups and downs with this place over the last couple of years, as with any shop I suppose but still always end up back at Hudson. They just always have my bike feeling fresh after service more so than any other shop I’ve been too. Plus they can fuckin do EVERYTHING there when I need it done and their service and tire prices are UNBEATABLE. It’s hard to find all that anywhere else. I’ve looked.
Not to mention, the shop itself has evolved quite a bit in a short time, the overall layout has been updated and upgraded and they now carry a great selection of helmets (Arai, Shoei, HJC and more) and the gear and parts selection is HUGE now.
I do miss the couch tho. Lol.

Took my Harley in to have new bars installed. Steve at the front counter has extensive knowledge of Harleys and was able to point me in the right direction as far as wiring, bushings, etc. Miles did the work on the bike and did an awesome job.
I was familiar with Hudson Motorcycles through friends but this was my first work done there. The employees are friendly and the showroom is well stocked. Had a great experience and I’ll definitely be back for service on my bike.

So I’m very new to motorcycles and whatnot. I bought my bike last April, and was extremely worried about finding a reliable, no-​bullshit shop. So every time I found a motorcyclist, I would ask for recommended shops in the LA area. Many people suggested Hudson Motorcycles. Though I understand that not every shop is perfect, and that maybe some people had a very bad experience at this shop, within my own experience, I have had nothing but the best service and customer service when I step foot into this building.
The mechanics are friendly, the place is chill, and the service is reliable. I’ve gone 3 times so far; for oil changes, handle bar repairs, brake pad replacements, entire rotor replacements, and Service C maintenance. Every single time I come into this shop, I leave with some new knowledge about my bike. When I rode my bike out after the service, it was like a completely new bike. It was the most amazing feeling in the world. They go above and beyond to satisfy their customers.
When people ask me what shop I recommend, I always say Hudson. Plus their oil change prices cannot be beat. It’s that simple. Go here and you’ll understand. They’re guys who love to ride, and love to share their knowledge with others; and you can feel it.

As I was looking for a good shop with a good dyno, Hudson Motorcycles came across. As I had a bad experience before with one of my local shops over here in my area, I decided to try them out. I’ve had the best experience/​service/​welcoming/​friendliest over there. My BMW S1000RR had the best treatment ever, not only that they tuned it to the best but there were even some scuffs and scratches that they took out. I felt very welcomed and like one of them to be honest. Those guys amazed me with what they can do with their amazing service. My bike took 1 day to be tuned and I’ve got the best results. They even recommended some sliders/​tires/​air filter/​etc… And I’ve been explained everything in details that was done to the bike. To be honest those guys are the best and MOST DEFINITELY am going back again!
