Vietnamese coffee on crack. If you’ve never had vietnamese coffee before, it’s one of the strongest coffees you’ll experience. It’s located across from the entrance of the dollar tree and is a little hard to find but it is in the string of establishments in the plaza. I ordered a large iced coffee with condensed milk and less ice and probably only had a quarter of it because it was too strong. I had to take it home to mix it with some skim milk to calm it down and I did get a little headache from the caffiene. Yes ok I know it’s suppose to be strong but my rating is for its taste. Maybe I’m more of a sucker for the vietnamese coffees offered at phở restaurants but those tasted much fresher and better than the one I had here. Maybe I need to try a different drink if the ratings for this place is so high? Be aware even though they take credit cards, it’s a $ 10 minimum.

Just came for the first time, loved it! It is very hidden and you can’t really see it. The service was fast and the coffee is great !!

I heard about this coffee shop from Unilocal, and since I live several city block south of this place, I decided to give it a try. The place is located around the building, on the side opposite of Crenshaw. To get here, I drove into the same parking lot at the dollar store, than circled around. The coffee shop is easily spotted from there. I walked in and ordered their signature coffee, strong and with a bit of condensed milk. The drink indeed taste strong, with a taste distinctly expected out of Vietnamese coffee. It was good, and packed a good amount of caffeine. The coffee shop itself is small. I noticed an adjacent lounge with two pool tables. Apparently, this is only for the owner to use, and is off limits to the general public. There is no public restroom here, so the place is more of a grab and go than a place to lounge around with friends. No worries though, as the coffee was good and I will be coming back here to try out more of their stuff.

Love this place! Glad i finally got my hands on that strong viet coffee! Now i can get away from all the energy drink i intake which by the way don’t work. 1 cup of this iced coffee had me moving like i had 9 hours of sleep. No jitters or shakey just that great awake feeling! Definitely going back! Also great it’s 4 mins from my house! Didn’t catch the lady and gent that was there but they where awesome. Gave my wife, sis, her boyfriend, and me the run down on how strong and good their coffee is. Ice coffee here i come!!!

Yo legit. This place is great. Was looking for anything to keep me awake and El Segundo didn’t have much by way of coffee, save for two-star Starbucks and a couple of donut shops, which we know only serves watery piss. So I Unilocaled this place. Took me a beat to find it in the alley. Walk in and there’s a cute little dude in a polo named Allen. I told Allen I always get the Vietnamese coffee from Lee’s Sandwiches but it’s too sweet for my taste; this guy let me taste everything before he added boba and ice and sealed it. I chilled out on the couch and he turned the TV on for me. I don’t watch TV, but WHAT A PAL. Definitely coming back to this place.

Got the lychee strawberry smoothie with boba and it was delicious! My boyfriend got the taro milk tea but the flavor was made from powder — I’m not a fan of powder flavors which is why I go with the fruit smoothies. It was decent otherwise and would go back if I was in the area.

The owner, Alan, is very sweet and generous. I’d rather spend a few bucks here than at Starbucks. Good service! Thai iced tea with boba: great balance of tea and milk. Boba was fresh and he uses the smaller sized pearls. Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk: strong and sweet. Another great balance of both. He sealed the cup and instructed me to add ice and stir so I could enjoy it the following morning. This is a typical take out spot. I’m giving four stars for taste and service. But I wouldn’t necessarily sit and eat here.

So I decided to give this place another try because I needed really strong coffee. I came in they had the doors closed next door where the pool tables where at so I didn’t smell any cigarettes this time. I ordered the same thing as last time Vietnamese iced coffee w/condensed milk. This time I had another guy make it and it was perfect. Still strong but w/out that overwhelmingly bitter after taste. The amount of sweetness was perfect. Also, he told me about if I had a card that if you receive 10 stamps you get a free large drink. So obviously take advantage of this deal because they sell other things than just coffee like boba.

WORST«BOBA» place ever ! First of all, This place is hidden on Crenshaw, it was hard to find. When i arrived at noon, their boba wasn’t «cooked» cause it was not«ready». Why would you ever open for business with your staple ingredients missing. !!! The employee seemed like he did not know what he was doing at all. Our drinks didn’t taste of what we ordered, taro tasted like coconut syrup with food coloring. Over all, bad experience and health department should consider taking that A grade down to a B, considering their bad hygiene.

This place is a little bit tough to find, but worth a visit. It’s located in a shopping center next to a coin laundry store. You’ll have to get into the parking lot and drive around to the rear of the building in order to get access to the shop. The shop is clean, and the staff is friendly. On our first visit, we were served by Allen, who was helpful and welcoming. He explained that unlike other boba shops, Chu Thoon Coffee freshly brews their teas and doesn’t resort to using powdered mixes. My gf and I ordered Thai teas with boba. They were well balanced with a good amount of ice(not too much!) and boba. On top of that, it wasn’t over-sweetened, which allowed the taste of the tea to come through. Altogether a great little shop that makes a good cup of Thai tea.

Very friendly service. They seemed a bit surprised, but happy, to have a customer when I walked in. They asked how I found their shop(which was via Unilocal) and if I was from the area, etc. I ordered an iced Vietnamese coffee(medium sweet). It was good. Strong coffee flavor with a hint of sweetness. Standard. I had some time to kill, so I asked if they had wifi. The lady said they do, but they didn’t know the password. They could have left it at that, but they went out of their way and made some calls to get someone to come and give them the password. About 10 – 15 minutes later a guy came in and gave me their wifi password. My only gripe is that when I initially walked in, there was a faint cigarette smoke aroma lingering in the air. At first, I thought I walked into one of those undercover Vietnamese gambling rings that front as a boba shop. It eventually dissipated, but then the guy that so kindly gave me the wifi password sat right outside by the door, which was left open, and smoked his cigarettes. :(

I stumbled on this location while searching on Unilocal for the nearest place that sells boba beverages. Needless to say it is a walking distance to where I live, so that made it a huge plus. One night after work, I decided to give it a try and order myself a strawberry banana smoothie with boba, my first visit was okay, nothing to extraordinary that would make you come again for their service but after all it’s all about the boba at this time. I got my strawberry banana smoothie and it was okay, I actually prefer the one at «French Villa Café?» Or something like that,(fyi) it’s located inside Southbay Galleria. I decided to visit the location again while I was washing nearby at the laundromat with my fiancé, it seemed that they had barely finished renovating a few stuff, such as a brand new menu & altered their name Well back to the review, I ordered a strawberry kiwi smoothie with boba, and I was impressed it was pretty delicious, the«boba barista» was nice and attentive, it was better service than my previous visit. I would likely visit again in the future to try a new boba beverage! :D Four stars for the overall: price, location, taste, and customer service.
