Zlaket’s Market specializes in «Nostalgia»! We’ve been purveyors of fine foods since 1927… an authentic Mom & Pop food market. We’re known for our fresh Meat Department & Deli. We have all types of specialty cut meat. Prime Quality Beef, Lamb, Veal, Poultry and Pork cut to your specifications.

We have award winning sandwiches in our hot & cold deli, with hot entrees changing daily. We also do catering for any size occasion… «Big or Small, We Do It All!» We take orders for office meeting on short notice.

We also boast Orange County’s Largest Selection of Old Fashioned Glass Bottled Sodas… Bubble Up, Dublin Dr. Pepper & many old time sodas you grew up with. We also have hand-​scooped ice cream and can create any type of Float you can imagine.

History

Established in 1927.

Our Market was founded by Leo & Mary Zlaket, when they catered to much of Orange County’s early farming community. Back then, we were more of a general store, and through the ’30’s & ’40’s, we sold everything from food & fabric to early TV’s! In the ’50’s & ’60’s, our reputation as a quality meat market grew. In the 80’s, we turned our attention from a traditional grocery store, to that of a specialty food market, focusing on hard to find gourmet items. Today, we carry on the tradition of quality food & service with a nod to our nostalgic past with our huge selection of old fashioned candies & sodas.

Along with my family, we own and operate the oldest family owned business in Orange County. We sell nostalgia! The comment we constantly hear is, «Wow, I remember stores like this when I was a kid!» We feature the largest selection of Old Fashioned Glass Bottled Soda’s in Orange County, as well as Nostalgic Candy. Remember brands like Bubble Up, The Pop Shoppe, RC or Big Red… candy like Bottle Caps, Crowes, Black Cows, & Necco Waffers? We feature Thrifty’s Ice Cream and offer hundreds of Floats!

We’re known for our award winning deli and fresh meat department. We have great sandwiches, like our Hot Pastrami, and change our hot entrees daily. Our Meat Department carries only Prime and Higher Grade Choice Beef, as well as specialty cuts of lamb, pork and Veal.
